Keeping Christ in Christmas is a challenge. This is one thing I am working on this Christmas season. My friend and I was sitting at lunch and was talking about the Holidays coming up...this is near the end of our conversation. she did walk away after this, Don't take it offensively..Deep down there just thinking.

Friend-"Rachel have a happy Holiday season this year ok".
Rachel- Well Ill have a Marry Christmas thanks"!
Friend- umm..Holiday as in the new year"?
Rachel- Thanks but i celebrate my saviors Birthday on Christmas day. New years Day I pray and ask God and Thank God for a new year".

Challenge of December is Keeping CHRIST in Christmas. smile

I agree more and more you see Christmas being removed and replaced by happy holidays. We should remember what this time of year is all about the birth of Jesus smile

I don't know if any of you have a JC Penny's near you, or if they did this too.
But as I was passing by the windows of this store they had huge banners that said,
"MERRY CHRISTMAS AMERICA" I just couldn't believe it!

When I gave my seasons greetings to anyone I always said, "Merry Christmas!"
I will never stop saying it either because it is what I believe, and what I want to give to the world,
A merry Christmas. People can wish me a happy whatever it doesn't bother me, but I will always reply with "Merry Christmas!"

A friend of mine on Facebook said Merry Christmas/Quanza/whatever you celebrate.
And a girl got a upset at that and said as a Pagan she always feels left out since she believes in Yule Tide
and she didn't appreciate this friend not including her seasonal belief.
Honestly I was floored, if someone is extending their warm wishes to you through their beliefs there is nothing wrong with saying your warm wish to them on whatever season you believe in. The point is WARM WISHES!

I saw one in JC Pennys that in the window it said the exact same thing. I was super Happy. I walked in and told the ladie at the desk Merry Christmas and she smiled back and said thank you so much for saying that to me today! I know when Ji personally here somebody tell me Merry Christmas I cant help feel good just because they said Christmas. The point is more then just warm wishes though. As christians we celebrate the day that Jesus was born in the stable. the start of his life on earth and later die for us so we can be with him.

That is so sweet!

I made myself unclear in my last post - for some reason I must not have finished the rest of the post.
I agree that as Christians it behooves us to say Merry Christmas to those we meet because of what it means to us, and what it represents to all of us.
My complaint is when I say Merry Christmas to someone, and they tell me that I am offending them for not saying something politically correct and my quick response is that as long as I am offering them a warm wish for the Holiday in my belief that they should understand I mean them the best for their Holiday through my Merry Christmas greeting.
Does that make more sense? I am sorry for not being clearer last time.

You didn't! I just realized I didn't get the correct message across! It was my fault, don't worry. <3
