Sikukuu Snow Games Headquarters

In a wide meadow, set well aside from the rest of the festivities, chaos reigns! A heavy snowstorm has left the meadow thick with snow, and large snowdrifts can be found. A few scattered trees, small thickets of bushes, and several boulder piles provide cover and possible ambush sites in this all-out game! Snowballs fly freely as lions, cheetahs, and creatures of all sorts attempt to score points by pelting each other with the soft, cold missiles.

Anyone and everyone are welcome to join the fun at any point! All ages can participate, as well as passing rogues who have come to join the celebration. This is an annual affair, so some crafty sorts have even managed to make snow blocks for walls and shelters! However, no real fighting is allowed, so bouncers are drifting about, keeping an eye on things to make sure it all stays peaceful.

How It Works

Type up a rp post of your character aiming a snowball at another character. This can be another person's character or an unnamed NPC, doesn't matter. Use the RNG to randomize a number between 1 and 12, then post it! You must wait to post (and randomize) again until someone else has posted.

The number I have randomized above is the base number you are aiming for! Five points are awarded for a direct hit, one point for a glancing blow. The chart for points is below. Please keep a tally of your points in your posts! (These can be checked, so be honest!)

This will continue until Christmas Day! Once closed, I will check the tallies of those with the highest scores and declare a winner!

RULES

1. You may use non-lined creatures for this if you have no available SoA. Rogues and those from other prides are all welcome, so you don't need to have a member of Sikukuu to participate!

2. You must wait until someone else posts before you post again!

3. Your post must contain rp to count! At least one paragraph counts. One or two sentences does not count as a paragraph, so please put some thought into your rp!

4. Keep track of your own points. The winning score will be checked!

5. When won, the lioness must stay in the pride.

6. Be kind! No bad feelings here please!

7. If your character is the target when hit, by all means rp them reacting! However, if someone who was hit does not react, don't fuss about it. This is all in good fun, after all.

8. More rules can be added as necessary!

The leopard looked around. This was definitely the place for the snowball fight. But what was this? There were hardly any projectiles whizzing around? Farasi sighed. Oh, how he hated work. But he supposed that someone had to start the action, and it might as well be him.


Green eyes sparkled as agile paws packed the cold wet stuff into an approximation of a ball and hurled it at a passing hyena.

Asuen Kipeys. who of course, had simply been minding her own business, suddenly heard something whizz between her ears. She was startled, certainly, but cackled regardless - someone wanted to play a game with her. Oh, how she loved games. Usually... games of a more violent sort. That being said, why not retaliate?

And with that, she gathered some snow and hurled it back in the direction of the first snowball, toward a suspicious-looking brown leopard.

Asuen yelped mid-cackle as she realized there was another joining the fray. She spun around, seeking the origin of this fresh snowball, almost disappointed that she hadn't gotten hit. Spotting the red lioness, she was surprised that there were no cubs around, nor any males... surely some fresh young lion or leopard looking for a bit of controlled chaos?

Though to tell the truth, the hyena had no idea how she'd somehow landed herself in the middle of this. She wasn't used to having so many others around. Of course, forgetful as she was, she didn't recall stepping across the borders of a pride and landing herself in the middle of a great festival - but what fun, what havoc, she could create!

And with that thought, she released another flurry of snowballs out at the others.

[Thalion]

He had heard the commotion from the border of the coalition's territory. Laughter, the telltale slushy splash of snow against something solid, the scampering of paws, and the playful threats between friends both old and new. The border markers were not the hostile sort, warning of violence to passers-by but that hardly meant that a stranger could throw caution to the wind. Quiet as a breeze, the leopard drifted further in, keeping his body low and his ears high.

A snowball zinged over his head, splatting on a nearby tree. Snow, here? Strange... he glanced skyward and smirked. It must have been the work of a god. Regardless, this was his sort of game.

Ducking down, he formed a ball out of the snow around his feet and sent it flying.

Frite's expression changed as she entered this new territory, the strange white stuff crunching under her paws. It was chilly, and sent a strange thrill up her spine. Looking around her, she could see others tossing the stuff around, though they had formed it into tight little balls. Perplexed, she examined further, it didn't seem as though it was meant o harm one another. In fact, everyone seemed to be having a grand time, giggling and laughing as the balls were tossed back and forth.

A wide grin formed across her mouth as she quickly pranced into the fray. She had to be a part of this - even if she had no idea what it was. Maybe someone would explain it to her later? Didn't matter - she was going to have fun anyway.

A quick glance to her right and she caught a male cheetah, he was going to be her target.

Tucking a ball of her own under a paw, she winced her eyes closed and threw with all her might.

Jakai was quick to duck as his snowball exploded into a shower of white, shimmering slush. A playful smirk tugged at his maw and sent a light shimmering in the depths of his icy blue eyes. A snowball zinged overhead, splashing harmlessly against the tree at his back. A good throw, but an easy miss. He scooped up another two pawfulls of snow and carefully shaped a second snowball.

Daring only a moment to peek over the side of his shelter, the leopard sent another snowball flying. He didn't select a set target, but instead sent one flying wild as he had the first.

Sure enough, more cats had entered the fray. So Asuen was alone with this one - but that's perfectly alright, she preferred an unfair disadvantage. So as she felt a snowball strike her fur, she yelped sharply as the cold flushed into her skin. Yet she continued to cackle, as only a hyena could, shaking it off to gather more snow.

It was less of a throw and more of a flail as she released a flurry into the air, her awkwardly-built body not quite suited to snowball-throwing. Nevertheless, she knew she'd score a few hits.

A MISS!

How could she miss? She must be pretty bad at this game.

Shrugging it off, she noticed a large group of cats just ahead of her, bouncing around and enjoying this new game just as much as she was. A smirk formed across her lips as she prepared to try and knock them off their paws. Carefully aiming her strike, she kept her eyes on the ball and tossed directly into the fray.

Victory! Asuen had apparently hit several of those around her in her crazed volley. Green eyes glinting with malicious fun, she welcomed the newcomers, "Having fun yet?" The hyena snuffled about in the snow, rolling around with pleasure in the cold wetness. Even her awkward body could successfully score a few hits.

She jumped up, panting, covered in snow, and aimed another hit.
