The summons to every single Hunter was almost immediate, a blaring amber light that lit up each hallway, dorm room, the entire facility blinking erratically. Several Hunters were already on their way out, grabbing a hold of only their essentials: their coat and what equipment they could spare.
The whispers however, more than filled the tension tenfold. The Horsemen, out of all things, even after this long. Something about an attack. The Alaska base, a loss of numbers, heavy damage, gossip about the apocalypse again, about the end of the world who knew where the facts ended and the theories began.
"Headsets!" A familiar voice, calling to them on the field. Mark, typing madly onto his laptop as he muttered to several Hunters something about keeping their grubby hands off his equipment and how only one at a time, and how they'll get a copy of the debriefing once he prints off more. For anyone lucky enough to find an actual copy of the debriefing it simply wrote:
Mission 205D Class A mission:Alaska base requests immediate backup and relief. Horsemen activity threatens to permanently shut down facilities. Weather conditions are very cold and dark, be sure to bring proper equipment and gear.
OOC - All Hunters can arrive to get PREPARED. This is a pretty big PVP ORP that will be happening so make sure you're okay with suffering- Two crowns will also be rolled in this event. If you are interested in participating in the Seven Kings event, now is a great chance to also get some fun prizes that will go towards that event, including a few bonus artifacts!

The amber light flared over Madison as she prepared, grimly. First, her clothing - good boots, long underwear, everything needed for a cold-weather outing. Secondly, her loadout - runic bandages and her trap gun, though if the threat was Horsemen it was going to be less 'trapping' and more 'tangling up for easier killing'. It wasn't such a surprise to her - she'd seen the Horsemen in the Haunted House, and their freak friends in the Human World. And they'd seen her. Why should they stop now, when they had every reason to be royally pissed at the Hunters?
Sometimes, when she thought about the depth of fury and vengeance their own acts had doubtless inspired in their opponents, she felt fear... and yet they had won. What was happening now were the pointless flailings of an opponent that had already been downed. Dangerous, yes, but in the grand scheme of things - on the scale of the entire Human World - it was relatively harmless.
Relatively.
Light of another color flared as Madison summoned her weapon, the sword-belt settling around the thicker parka. After triple-checking, she nodded. She was ready to go...

A temporarily stunned Wilson stumbled into the hallway. He rapidly blinked a few times as he tried not to let the flashing lights get to him. Allowing the flow of hunters carry him along, Wilson adjusted his goggles so they were carefully placed on top of his head. He often tried not to eavesdrop on side conversations, but when he was smack dab in the middle of a sea of people, it was impossible to ignore the gossip and theories being flung around. Wilson angled his head slightly as he heard murmurings of the Alaska base and horsemen and apocalypse. The horsemen bit didn’t surprise him, and he felt pretty confident that that piece, initially gossip or not, was true.
Then someone pushed him forward just as Mark yelled for headsets. He shook his head, then pulled down his goggles so he could obediently put on the headset. Eyebrow quirked, Wilson nudged Dakota in the side. “Are you, now?”

When Gale arrived, clad in a knee-length coat with fur trim around the wrists and lining the hood, he was not exactly certain how well this would pan out, all things considered. But hesitating - staying behind - had never been an option.
Especially not where the Horseman were concerned.
<< Well, it could be worse. >> Jinhai quipped as, with a small flash of white light, the rifle was summoned. Gale, with some difficulty, dug around in his pocket for the strap he had gotten, connected it to the weapon, and slung the whole thing diagonally over his neck and shoulders so that it lay heavily against his back. Not completely ideal, but it would have to work for now. << We could be dealing with a temper tantrum throwing leader again. >>
Been there, done that, Gale thought grimly, and tugged at the collar of his coat, grabbed a headset, and settled it over his hair.
<< Ready when you are, chief. >>

"Trying to get back one of their old lairs?" Harrison grumbled to Rep under his breath, not keen on anything labeled A-level, but...well. Threats were threats. They had to be dealt with.
Or, more usually, distracted while H dealt with them.
Harrison had on a Christmas sweater, boots, and his jacket- ratty, but wearable. He should have picked up some goggles earlier from the quartermaster. Fighting at night in a snowstorm. s**t.
He might end up doing some field paramedic-ing sooner than he thought. The grimness of the situation didn't escape him. A-level. Death tolls would be up. Last time, the Horsemen had laid waste to the base, took prisoners back to torture...nobody had been able to stop them. Last spring they'd lost and lost and lost until- until that explosion had come through. Just stalling for time.
Harrison gripped B0nez's handle nervously. He had his binoculars (he felt safer with them), his runic bandaid tin, and some basic non-magic s**t. Gauze. Some pain-killers. If he wanted a splint or had to scrape someone off the field, he'd have to improvise.
He got a headset. Adjusted it. Doublechecked his supplies. He knew from the chatter they were going somewhere cold. He assumed Antarctica.
"Hope that ******** squid doesn't show up. Or if it does, that it's got a taste for sons of bitches. All their relatives ended up 20 thousand leagues, sure would be nice if we could get them together for the holidays."

Ofelia got the message as she was finishing up a task in her room, something along the lines of sorting through her clothing, and the teen snapped her phone off and hurried to get dressed. Anything warm was fine, she had pants she could wear and a hoodie sweater that she'd managed to find in what looked to be an abandoned room, and she slid her jacket over the hoodie as she shoved her feet into boots. Her hair was kept down to keep her neck warm but she did pull it into a low ponytail as she walked.
There was nothing else to say really, nothing to do, and as she entered the room she looked around for familiar faces. There were many here, some of them wearing the same matching piece of jewelry she had on her arm, and the teen bit her lower lip as she moved forward to get a headset. Going back to Alaska meant that thing with the tentacle, right? That had been one of the very first missions she'd gone on, if she could recall properly, and it certainly wasn't one she wanted to be her last. Everyone seemed to be dressed warmly too, she was glad she'd found the green hoodie, and she wondered just whom it'd belonged to. Perhaps later she'd check out the room again, if she managed to survive, but Ofelia shook her head to dismiss that thought.
This was going to be an adventure and dammit she loved adventures. It was so much better than being cooped up on the island with nothing better to do than feel sorry for herself. Perhaps she'd get a chance to prove herself worthy and get the bracelet off after all? The headset was in her hands before she knew it and she glanced around to try and locate some runic weaponry to take with her, if they were allowed it. Her old standby would be a torch and some bandages though maybe this time she'd swap the torch for something else. This mission seemed a little too big for her to think a torch would be much help.

Ami was on her feet as her phone blinked with the debrief, already ready to go. She'd had nothing much to do anyways, just more training and more studying, as always.
The fact that it was in the artic made her hesitate though. They'd lost Dr. H to a titan temporarily last time they went to the artic. Some hunters had turned into penguins. She didn't like this.
She pulled on the only winter coat she owned, swapping flats for fashionable boots. She was still in a skirt with thermal tights though. You couldn't get Ami in pants for anything, not even below freezing temperatures.
With a sigh, she headed out the door. Hopefully it'd be better than the last one. When she arrived in the meeting room, she hung somewhere near Wilson and somewhere near Lex, but next to neither. Wilson at least got a wave, but he was talking to Dakota, so it probably wasn't seen.
syusaki does senpai notice her .................???
