The sun was just starting to set over the distant waterline, casting a reddish orange glow over the ever lapping waves surrounding Sidekick Academy. You were off minding your own business, doing whatever you normally do during your spare time in the evenings; be that studying, grabbing a bite to eat, hanging out with some friends or running around campus. However, your leisure time was abruptly interrupted as the Academy's warning sirens began blaring to a near deafening level! You had never actually heard the security system go off, although you were well versed in what to do in case of an emergency. While most students immediately retreated to their dorm rooms or began to file into the auditorium like you were always instructed to in case of this sort of situation, you and a few other like-minded individuals headed off in the exact opposite direction. After all, what were heroes, (or heroes in training...) for? Determined to find out what was going on for yourselves without waiting around with everyone else like sheep, you unite and your small group stops momentarily to consider the best course of action. Where do you and your companions decide to head off to next?
1) Everything looks completely chaotic- it doesn't seem likely to you that anyone knows what's going on. You figure it would be a waste of time to depend on anything other than your own pair of eyes, opting to search around campus for the source of the disturbance yourself. If you could find somewhere high and get to a better vantage point, maybe you could scope out whatever was going on.
2) It made the most sense to head on over to Sidekick Academy's headquarters and try to see if there was any official explanation there. After all, if anyone knew what was going on, it would be the Founders and the full fledged heroes, right? If you worked quickly, perhaps you could arrive there before any other students, getting a one up on them and potentially impressing your mentors...!
3) You spot one of the Academy's teachers, Doppelgang, speaking to a group of students in a frenzy. Waving his arms around wildly as he spoke, it seemed like the kids surrounding him were focused intensely on his words. You suggest heading over to see if the shape shifter had any useful information, seeing as he's the only adult anyone can seem to find at the moment.
Feel free to rp your characters meeting and grouping up however you see fit, but don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 14th, roughly around this time. Have your votes in by then~ Remember to make your character's choice clear and in bold, using the number listed above somewhere in your post! If you do not, your vote won't be counted.

xxxxThe sirens began blaring throughout the Academy while Anemone was on the way back to her dormitory, juggling books and dinner in her arms. While the load looked alarmingly heavy, as per usual the girl used her innate abilities to lighten her homework and chicken pot pie by more than a few pounds. Her thin frame jerked as the loud noise cut through the night air, causing her to loose grip on the hefty pile of textbooks. Ane let out a small cry in alarm- oh no, anything but the books!- but soon followed up with a soft sigh of relief as the books hoovered a few inches above ground, safe from harm. Her powers were the bane of her existence, but they sure did come in handy at times...
xxxxKneeling down to pluck her belongings that were now ever so slightly floating around the girl up from their orbit, Anemone stopped to collect herself, wondering what exactly the alarms indicated. Was someone in trouble? Were there intruders? Floods of children rushed past her, eager to get back to their rooms- but Anemone instead found herself wandering in the opposite direction. The gravity manipulator could help- she was sure of it! Ane wasn't a particuarly action hungry or courageous; but she was confident she could do that much. While every part of her brain screamed at her to return to her room and crawl under the covers, for some unexplainable reason the pale girl pressed on, eager to lend a helping hand. But where to head...? Anemone's eyes darted over to the Academy's headquarters, one of the buildings off in the distance- it made sense to go there, right? B-but would they be irritated if a student just showed up? Ane fretted to herself, still clutching her belongings, but headed towards the headquarters nonetheless.
xxxx(Anemone chooses option 2, although that might change icly idk??)

Adelina was started by the sirens, not used to so much noise! Her peaceful bird-watching from her dorm window was very rudely interrupted. She was still getting used to life at the academy, and she was sure sirens weren't normal. She put on her teleporter shoes and gauntlets, and left her room to investigate.
She remembered that in case of an emergency, they were supposed to file... somewhere. Adelina wasn't really paying that much attention to the emergency speech given to her. It was really, really boring. But if there was an emergency, it made sense to go right to the headquarters where the adults probably were.
Spying an older girl with white hair in the hallways, Adelina called out to her. "Hey! Where are you going?" Not bothering to wait for the other girl's response, Adelina continues on, "I'm heading to the headquarters to figure out what's going on, you wanna come with me?" Adelina smiled, surely an older girl who was probably around the academy could be help her out with this situation.

By the time you managed to reach Sidekick Academy's headquarters, there was already quite a crowd of students gathered around the entrance. The buzz of their confused, frightened and otherwise excited conversation was almost loud enough to drown out the alarm still wailing throughout the school grounds. Before long a very familiar face popped out from behind the sliding door, red billowing cape trailing behind his impressive figure. The Captain, main man of the Founders and every little boy's favourite hero, stepped outside and lifted a large hand to calm the crowd of students he stood before. It didn't do much help, considering the siren continued to screech in the background, but the children obeyed nonetheless. "You really all should have gone back to your dorm rooms or the auditorium," he began, rubbing the back of his head lightly. In the windows behind him, you could see many of the Academy's staff members scampering around, a few in an obviously heated debate. "I know you all just want to help, but we can't risk putting any students in danger, y'know? So I'm just going to have to repeat that you get yourselves somewhere safe." He paused for a moment, struggling with the several dozens of wide, expectant eyes locked on him. "Don't worry, this is all just one big misunderstanding- remember the crash last year with the alien students from Nova Academy? It seems like our messages finally reached their home planets, but a tad fractured... It'll be dealt with in no time!" Flashing one of his famous toothy grins and a thumbs up, the Captain bid a brief farewell, once more instructing everyone to get indoors before slipping back into Sidekick Academy's HQ.
1) You were not going to just pack up and quit so easily, even if one of the Founders had told you to. You really, really wanted to help. You were ready! You could do this! It was your time to shine, to prove yourself- you were a hero, after all! The crowd before SA's headquarters slowly dispersed, leaving only you and your comrades. You tell your friends that you want to march right on over to the sliding glass door, then proceed to knock and bang on it until someone answers and lets you help out. Might not have been the most graceful of tactics, but you were positive there was something you could do to help out.
2) A misunderstanding, huh? Well, you were confident enough that you could handle that much. You suggest to your friends that you disobey your superiors and sneak off campus, instead opting to locate the aliens and explain the situation in person. Who else better than a bright eyed young student that attended school with their alien offspring? It didn't seem like the adults were doing anything proactive anyway, so you might as well take matters into your own hands!
3) The man has spoken! Capt told you to get indoors, so you were going to get indoors- you couldn't ignore a direct order from the bossman. You suggest that your group heads over to the auditorium- it was on the opposite side of campus, and you weren't exactly feeling up to walking it alone. The school grounds were eerily empty, as most students were already safely tucked away indoors. Hopefully soon you would be too...
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 17th, roughly around this time. Have your votes in by then~ Remember to make your character's choice clear and in bold, using the number listed above somewhere in your post! If you do not, your vote won't be counted.

A misunderstanding huh... Hack pondered silently behind the little team of sidekicks in training his next course of action. Judging from the hubbub in the room, this was definitely BIG. Perhaps he could help, somehow...
Which obviously meant that the next best thing was to find those aliens right?? In a ridiculously childish fit unbefitting of s mentor (tsk), without pausing to consider the danger he might be putting himself and the others he was about to get involved in, Hack stuck his head somewhere between the two girls he was trailing earlier and whispered, "You guys wanna go find the aliens?"
(choice 2! sorry i totally missed the deadline for the first one asdfhjk)

Adelina wanted to prove herself so badly, she was still new and hadn't made many friends. Surely if she found these aliens and explained the misunderstanding, she could be seen as heroic! Maybe even the founders would praise her for it.
A man popped up between her and the white-haired girl (there sure were a lot more older people here than she had first thought!), asking if they wanted to find the aliens. He was probably a full-fledged hero, too!
"Yes!" she said to him, "We have to find the aliens and explain that their students aren't in danger, right?" she said, looking up at the sky for the UFOs, ready to find them.
(Adelina chooses option 2.)

This was almost an obvious choice to Scottie, really.
If this was caused by the aliens, then he wanted to see them. He missed those from his homeworld terribly, as well as his homeworld overall, really. This place was terrible. It was constantly dry except it was rainy, but then it was humid and incredibly hot, and he always felt like he was getting motion sickness whenever he attempted to walk or run too much when he had free run of the place before he came to whatever this forsaken planet was. Whose idea was this planet? It seemed no part of the Great Cosmos' design, or at least no idea that he would have come up with by communing with the Great Cosmos.
Scottie grumbled.
"Going to the aliens is the obvious decision," Scottie decided, crossing his arms over his chest as his tail flicked from left to right. He definitely seemed a bit certain of his opinion, marching forward in that direction without even letting the others speak up.
It might have seemed a little self-centered, but he really just wanted to get back home.
"If anything, I can explain what's going on."
That was an afterthought.
(Scottie chooses Option 2! Sorry I missed last time, kept thinking I had until the 14th at night. >>; )

xxxx"E-eh?" Anemone hadn't realized the smaller, bubbly girl had been calling out to her until until Adelina had stepped right up next to the much taller sidekick and looked her straight in the face. Blinking down through her thick glasses at the green haired rookie, Ane opened her mouth to answer- only to be cut off as the chirpy girl spoke up again. A faint smile flickered on Anemone's face and she simply nodded at the younger girl's question, glad to have the company. Now, Anemone usually much preferred isolation and new people made her stomach hurt; but the alarms ringing in her ears had shifted her priorities around just a tad. At least there was someone at her back if anything went wrong...!
xxxxSpeaking of backs; Hack's head suddenly popped between the two girls who had been absorbed in the Captain's speech, sending a chill up Anemone's spine. "D-don't pop up like that!" She sobbed softly, clutching her food to her chest slightly tighter. "How long were you even there behind us...?" If it was possible for Anemone to go paler, she turned a couple shades lighter as Hack suggested going after the aliens. Was he serious?! Adeline chimed in, all for it. Digging her toes into the dirt, Anemone stared down at the ground- this couldn't be happening! He'd pester her until Anemone agreed, she was sure of it. Yet another student spoke up, more than willing to join in the search. Glancing up at the boy, Galileo's eyes widened- he had twice as many eyes as her, headfins, and was a muddy bluegreen- an alien?! She hadn't seen him around the Academy before, and couldn't help but stare just a little bit due to her fascination with odd-looking things; life forms included. He was just simply adorable......!
xxxxA bit of Anemone's colour returned as she flushed ever so slightly, quickly returning her attention to Hack before Scottie noticed her oggling his glorious fins. "I guess I could tag along..." She mumbled, staring down at the things in her arms. Listening to her superior was the responsible thing to do, r-right?
xxxx((Anemone reluctantly goes with 2 as well!))

Perhaps it was because you and your comrades didn't make too much of an effort to conceal yourselves if at all, but it wasn't long before you were having a stare down with a strange-looking alien some distance away. It was rather reptilian in appearance, with shining green scales, a yellow belly and large reflective eyes. You could have sworn you heard it let out a long, low hiss- but maybe that was just your imagination? The alien didn't make any sudden movements, although it's obvious the reptilian is tense and ready for action at the drop of a hat. He keeps his eyes locked on you, brows furrowed intensely.
1) You ask your friends if trying to greet the alien from where you stood was a smart idea. You weren't sure if he could understand English, but body language was all you needed! You wanted to extend some sort of friendly gesture like waving, to show the alien that you meant no harm.
2) You were heroes. You got this! You confidentially tell your friends that your small group could easily overpower the alien, and that on the count of three they should all charge. He probably had lots of answers that the Academy needed answers to.
3) You notice out of the corner of your eye that the alien is standing next to an untriggered booby trap, and remains too distracted to notice it. If you can get him to take a single step backwards, he'll be in for a nasty spill... but chances are he won't be conscious to stay awake for questioning.
4) IF SOMEONE HAS A CHOCOLATE BAR, you hold it out meekly as a peace offering to the alien. You're not sure if they know what the sweet snack is, but you're certain it looks harmless enough!
Don't forget to make your decision before the next bit is posted! The next set of options will be posted on the 20th, roughly around 3am. Scottie was an alien. He could handle this, right?
He cleared his throat, stepping forward, tail flicking back and forth, about as confident as he was. It was rather obvious he didn't seem to belong with these people ... or maybe he was just trying to amplify that bit. He was really homesick. It would be nice to go home finally. This planet made him angry.
Carefully, Scottie spreads out his hands, to show he means no harm. He isn't sure the language the other speaks, and doesn't want to risk just pissing the alien off. This could be his ticket off planet...

Adelina starts waving behind the alien boy, a big smile of her face. "Hey Mr. Alien! Heyyyyy!" she called out, arms flapping enthusiastically. Surely the alien could read their body language, plus seeing a real alien student among them, and stop invading the school. Her small group would save everyone!
