Maia was in the area, not close, but Shang could feel her. Tonight was another night where he was escaping sparring and he was very happy for that. He had a few bruises in rather unpleasant places and he still wasn't sure he was improving any. He frowned at the thought, but stretched lightly and headed off hoping to put a bit more distance between him and his sister.
"Man did she really have to kick me," he muttered to himself. Okay, so she hadn't kicked him that hard and he'd tried to pull her feet out from under her, but still she had less bruises than him, if she had any at all. It just seemed like so much more than when he was running about looking for her.
He continued walking in no particular direction keeping his sense open, only though he didn't feel anything threaten or otherwise and hoped it would be a relatively quiet night.

Camelot was on his normal patrol, and he leaped over a building to land on the one beside it without paying much thought to it. Indeed, his thoughts were elsewhere, and he was not paying as much attention to what he was doing as he probably should, considering how fast he was going and the fact that he was leaping from building to building.
This fact caught up with him all too easily.
His foot hit the rail of a building he was not anticipating to have a guard rail on. He pitched forward and for a moment panicked because he was falling off a roof. But he remembered that he was a knight miliseconds later and span himself in midair.
He landed heavily on his feet, crouching down toward the floor. He took a breath before he straightened up, and then looked up to see Shang not too far down the street from him. He smiled and waved a little awkwardly.
"Hello again!"

Shang hadn't even realized where he wandered to, which was probably a bad thing. Not only that he also didn't take note of the energy he was headed towards. He turned at the greeting, slightly startled, but now feeling the energy that was Camelot.
He was happy it wasn't someone bad that popped up when he wasn't paying attention, "Oh hi, Camelot, right? It's good to see you again. Oh and I found my sister."
He gave a wave and headed over to the knight, it had been a bit since he had seen him and he thought it was would be nice to take to a knight that had been around for a bit. He aslo wanted to ask him if he was reincarnated like Zia had asked Shang, he was curious.
"Quiet evening for you too?"

"You did? That's good to hear. How is she doing? And how are you, for that matter?"
He was glad to have run into the new Knight so soon after their last meeting. He wanted to see how things were going, pick his brain a bit about his feelings after being awakened and experiencing it for a little while. And, of course, he wante to help if there was anything he could do.
Knights needed to stick together.
"It's not too bad," he said, looking thoughtful. He smiled, shrugging. "I suppose it is a good sign, when things are quiet. But there's always something just a little unsettling about it." Like all the villains were just waiting for something big. Camelot made a great effort not to bring up or draw attention to the fact that he had just fallen off a roof.
The less Shang knew about Camelot's awkward and fail-ish tendencies, the better.

"Well actually she sort of found me by accident, but she didn't run so we managed to work everything out. Everyone was right of course, she just needed time, but I worried. That's what big brothers do," he laughed lightly.
"But she's just fine. Had to patch her up after a run in a spear wielding negaverser, but she heals quickly. I should know, she's been training me, or well mostly beating me up. I know she means well though. Im just not quite at her level, which is an odd thought considering I'm older and bigger. I've got bruised though and I end up on my rear more than I'd really care to admit."
Shang nodded at the comment about the quiet, "that how it is in the hospital too. When it's too quiet I always feel slightly on edge like something big is going to happen. Like I'll be called into a situation that I might not be able to handle."
Shang hadn't seen Camelot fall so he was good, but if he had he wouldn't have thought any less of the man. "Oh there was something I wanted to ask you. Or well two something's if that's okay? Don't want to forget."

Camelot nodded his head. There were a couple spear negaverse agents that were rather similar and not too fun to run into either way. He was glad to hear that she was well, though, and that they had each other to take care of one another. He was running into sibling pairs a bit more frequently and while it was disconcerting to think that powering up might be somehow genetic, it was reassuring to see them with built in safety nets.
He smiled and nodded, though, relaxing enough to slip into conversation without feeling like his attention was split.
"Well, hopefully you two will both heal up well, and you won't have to fight anything too difficult before then."
He tilted his head, shifting and putting one hand on the top of his shield while the other was still attached to it. He leaned on the shield as he would his cane.
"What did you want to ask? I'm always open to helping, if I can."

Shang laughed and nodded, "oh I think we'll both be just fine." Though he was sure Maia was more than fine already, but it really didn't matter. He did agree with Camelot though, he was really hoping he didn't run into anything to difficult any time soon. The youma battle with Irene had been enough of a hard time.
Shang straightened up and nodded ready to ask his question. When he thought about it, but decided to ask the main question on his mind first. He paused to gather his though as conversations in genera were never his strong suit and for him always tended to be awkward.
"Uh lets see. I talked to Zia and her brother, um Alfheim, I think it was and they said he wasn't reincarnated like Maia, but instead he is an ancestor of past Alfheim. I was wondering since your like one of the only other knight I know if you were an ancestor too. Like if Camelot, past Camelot that is, is related to you in some way."
He paused for a second clearly still think before muttering out, "Maia got it in her head that all this could be genetic even if she is reincarnated. If I'm not, it would make it seem more likely, not that I know how to get to Shangri-La to find out. It's a theory."
He looked to Camelot and waited sort of hoping his answer was a negative.

Camelot nodded, knowing Zia and Alfheim very well. They were dear friends of his, and he was glad they were talking to other knights. Especially the actual knight, Alfheim, though he knew Zia was collecting all the information she could.
"Oh, returning to your wonder is something you will feel out. No one can tell you the words, they'll come to you when you are ready. You just need to focus and find a quiet little place to help center yourself. Other than that, visiting your wonder is really simple and incredibly interesting."
He loved going to Camelot, even if his memory recall was limited at best.
"In any case, as far as genetics go, I've never heard of such a thing before. I think it is more coincidence than blood." Of course, his opinion might be different if he actually knew his son was a senshi as well.

Shang gave a small laugh and shook his head. "Well there in lies my problem. I don't spend a lot of quiet time in this form. It's been all youma fighting and sparring with Maia. I will have to try to feel it out the next quiet moment I get."
Shang looked slightly releaved by Camelot words on genetics and hoped he was right about it being a coincidence even though if it seemed to be possible that all this had to do with genetics. He was a doctor and it was hard to not look at the facts, but being made magically had a way of screwing up your head.
She gave an nervous laugh and rubbed the back of his neck at a loss for words. He was never one for conversations and he didn't really know enough about Camelot to be totally at ease with him. It was enough that the guy seemed helpful and a good ear, but still Xander seemed to always get to point in the conversation where his thought process failed him. He blinked as if realizing something he hadn't really asked when talking with Zia and Alfie.
"Oh um can I take someone with me when I go, or it is just a me only sort of thing?"

It helped that Camelot was oblivious to the fact that there were powered up shenanigans in his own genetic line, or he might have thought harder about it. After all, knights did have the ability to be reborn, or some were ancestors, which obviously had to do with the line itself. But that was a singular iteration: it didn't explain why more than one knight might pop up in a family, or if there was any reason to think that a knight would have a senshi son, or sibling, as the case might be.
Really, it was beyond him, and it was just a little easier to focus on what was. The facts remained, and though the reasons behind them might be cloudy it still boiled down to something simple that the Knight of Earth could understand. New senshi and knights were being awakened all the time, and they needed what help they could be offered.
And Camelot wanted to make sure they got that aid.
"You can take others with you, they just need to be holding on to you for you to do it." He had been a taxi for a few people to visit Camelot with him, and he rather liked having others with him. "It's a really interesting way to learn about ourselves and each other. I can take you to Camelot some time, if you really wanted to see how it all works."

Shang nodded and thought for a moment, the whole knight thing was very strange to him and fact that they had wonders they could visit was amazing even if it was strange, but Shang still wasn't entirely sure he liked the whole situation.
"I think that would be very helpful, to visit Camelot that is, but um is there a ghost there too. Was it Alfheim or Zia that said something about a ghost lady or zombie or something I can't quite remember. But, apparently said person yelled at Alfheim."
Shang frowned deeply, "things like that shouldn't even be possible, but everyday I run across something else that throws my scientific world further askew. Sometimes it too much, I really don't think I could do this if I had to go it alone."
Shang could be a very optimistic person when he wanted to be, but being optimistic about his new found knight life was harder that he really could have imagined.

"I haven't run into a ghost, but I suppose that doesn't mean there isn't one... I mean, ah. I hope there isn't any..." he frowned thoughtfully. He had not been around long enough at any one time to really explore for true phantoms of the past. And he had a feeling he hadn't yet found the right place.
As it turned out, Camelot was a large land.
"Not a lot of us can, and I don't think we should. We have a whole network of knights of various experience out there, we should utilize them." In a perfect world, that would be the way it worked. He wanted them to talk more, to train each other, to help one another learn.
They were working on it.
"You'll be fine, I think. You have a good network, yourself. It's equal parts trusting in yourself and trusting in your allies."

Shang nodded and hoped that his wonder didn't have some ghost there to yell at him. "Well next you are there maybe you could try to look, or maybe you could talk to Alfheim about it because he's the one that mentioned it. I really honestly hope that maybe he just had a long day that day."
Shang listened to Camelot and wondered if his network, if it could really even be called that was a good one. It really only consisted of 5 people, 6 if he counted Shalott, but he had only seen the woman once, so he wasn't sure if that counted. He almost instinctively shook his head, "I think it's a good start, but still I think I need to probably meet more knight and even senshi. I do not do much searching out other's or much really making allies. Maybe soon."
Shang didn't really think to go out and try to meet more other's and further build the small network that had sort of fallen into his lap, so to speak. He gave a nervous laugh, feeling like his words were getting all jumbled up in his brain. He hoped what he said even made sense.

"I hope the same," Camelot said with a thin smile. He had to wonder about it, though, and it was strong motivation for him to go to his own Wonder to check things out. He would do that when he had a moment of free time.
Of course, with a baby on the way, that was just a silly thought.
He wasn't going to have any free time.
Ever.
"Well, I can always help you to meet other knights. I know quite a few, and senshi as well. They're worth knowing, and you can always learn new things that will help you. I mean, you've given me things to think about, which I always appreciate." He chuckled.

Shang gave a nod, feeling reassured. And quickly nodded at again at the suggestion Camelot made. It would be good if Camelot could introduce him to more knights. He wanted to know if there were more Pluto knight and meeting more senshi was never a bad thing. They had been around longer, right?
"I think that would be great actually. I am definitely up for that. Maybe another night thought, its getting late and I've got a long shift at the hospital tomorrow." He knew it would probably be a good idea for him to turn in now even if he hadn't done much more than chat with Camelot, he would be much good in the ER if he was over tired.
"How can I get into contact with you again? Trying to run into you, really isn't the best method," he asked hoping it was something easy, so that he could turn in.
