Cordero was once again off, this time though was different. He wouldn't be returning for a long time, if at all. He knew it was going to be tough breaking the news to his mother but he knew she would understand. Or at least he hoped she would. What if she didn't though? What if she had already had his life planned out for him once they reached the Swampies? What if they were really going there because he was betrothed to someone? His ideas were far fetched but Cordero's brain just couldn't shut off and would often lead him to some of the most insane ideas. Mys'ketay wouldn't ever mate him or any of his siblings off and if she did it would only be with their consent. Cordero knew better but sometimes his brain forgot, apparently.
"Time to tell them." Cordero said, taking in a deep breath. First he would tell his brother Ruhiu whom he thought would understand his wanderlust. They were brothers and the only boys in the litter. Of course he had to understand! But... What if Ruhiu came along? What if he found a lady and had a million cubs? WHAT IF A LIONESS FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM BUT HIS BROTHER LOVED HER AND IT CAUSED THEM TO FIGHT? His blue eyes became huge and he thought he was going to have a panic attack. Until he realized that his brother was awesome and none of those things would happen.... Right? Although, he wouldn't mind having his brother come along. They could always use some bonding time and it would make the journey a bit more enjoyable. "Okay.. Really gotta tell him now." Cordero said as he made his way out of the den they had found the night before and where his family was still asleep inside. Hopefully his brother would be the first one up. He wasn't sure if he was ready to break the news to his mom. He kinda needed to work his way up the chain and use his siblings as practice before he could do that.
