What is the pre-eliminary bloodbath? The first step into character choosing!
Welcome to the bloodbath, sweeties. Welcome to court.
How does it work? to quote Robayn: "Deciding characters will NOT be first come first serve. You will all post your character choices in a thread in the main forum (this thread will be created closer to the date to avoid confusion.) If there are any duplicate requests then we will make new threads for you to "plead your case" and tell us why you chose that character and why you think that character suits the room you have been accepted in. Room Hosts will then determine what their room needs."
Since I would assume that many people chose the same characters that you did (since even some people did within our room), I ask you guys to post your character choices in the room for us to have all neatly.
Symbolon and I will be your attorneys. I'm sorry you can't get better ones. Haha, just kidding.
But anyway, make your statements as passionate as possible! We will plead your case with every bit of our soul (if your case needs pleading, of course) but it's up to you to feed the words to us. Give us all your witnesses, give us all your evidence. Don't forget people are also trying to sway the judge and jury's desicion, so give it all you got!
When is the deadline? December 15th is the deadline. So get your witnesses together!
I'm not sure if my character decisions are right for the plot/I don't know what the plot is. A thread about plot is coming soon (EDIT THIS SPOTTED, WHEN THE THREAD IS OUT) and we'll all discuss it in this thread. You can always change what you wrote, unless it's the day of the trial (December 15th).

♥first choice :: Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
♥why? :: First of all, Belle is an intellectual, and she would speak with proper grammar and sophisticated language, which is absolutely perfect for me. I'll give her grammar. bitches love grammar sorry Second, her personality. It's stated that she's pure of heart, almost to a naive, young extent. She's a younger sister, as well. Although I'm not actually a younger sister, people have always thought I was one - which makes it even better! It means I act like a younger sister. I can be the younger sister. Besides, I have a real younger sister to ask questions. I'm also naive and young (I'm around the same age Belle was in the book um actually I'm a bit older lolwut, and I've also had no experience and not much interest in love. I can understand her. Third, I can totally see Belle fitting in this room. It's fairytale darkish, right? Well, Belle has seen a beast with a man's heart. She's seen plenty of magic, not to mention the magic she's read about. The creepy stuff? She can handle it. In fact, she can fit right in. She's courageous, and she doesn't judge based on appearance (or so I'd imagine), which makes her a perfect candidate for this dark, magical room.
♥second choice :: Rapunzel
♥why? :: This girl has been trapped in a tower her entire life. Her experiences are limited, and she wishes for nothing more than to be free. In a way, I understand this girl. Without getting too up close and personal, I kind of feel the same way. I'm constricted by my expectations of myself, everyone's expectations of me. Who isn't? But anyways, I understand her despair when my mother talks to be about when she was younger, when she was free to run around and play outside everyday, whilst I'm here trapped at my computer calculating Chi Square values. Probability, ugh. Anyways. I feel like I can definitely convey her trapped sense, and her wonder at being free. I can also understand her loyalty. I mean, this girl was being trapped by an evil witch, right? Yet, I never had the sense that she hated the witch, or resented her at all. Yes, it could be because Rapunzel thought the witch was her mother, but this is a fairytale. Everything happens for a reason. She's loyal to her 'mother', the witch. She's also loyal to the prince that tried to help her escape, and that's another story that I won't go into, but she's fiercely loyal. It's hard to explain why I think, then, that I'd be best suited for Rapunzel. This is just turning into me analyzing the personalities of fairy-tale princesses. Yeah. Why Rapunzel fits into this room? Well, what if instead of loving her mother forever and ever, Rapunzel wants to take revenge against the witch that stole years of her life? And then she studies dark magic? BATTLE OF WITCHES YES
♥third choice :: Daisy (The Great Gatsby)
♥why? :: I'M RUNNING OUT OF PASSIONATE WORDS DESU Excuse my outburst.
Daisy Buchanan is beautiful and charming, yes, but she's mostly apathetic, sarcastic, fickle, shallow, and careless. She was brought up in a privileged way, and she realizes that, but has no desire to know more about the world around her. I understand that apathy. I was also brought up in a somewhat sheltered life, and my parents came from extreme poverty (so they spoiled me). In a way, I became that "beautiful little fool" that Daisy wished for her daughter to become. I have no wish to learn more about the world if it means suffering. I can definitely roleplay Daisy's apathy, shallowness, and carelessness. Then, there's the sarcasm and fickleness, and the slight bit of evil I detect in her. I can do sarcasm. Daisy is constantly feeling the bites of the world around her. It's a time where being a woman means being shallow, and Daisy resents that. That's where her sarcasm comes from. Well, I'm an Asian and I feel the same bites, but in a different direction. Being Asian means being smart, and I resent that. I'll just channel my sarcasm. The tiny bit of evil in Daisy, shown by when she accidentally runs over a woman in her car and allows someone else to take the blame, would make her perfect for this dark evil fantasy room. She's fearful, because she thinks this is some sort of purgatory, where she's going to pay for her sins. Fearful? I meant absolutely panicking. Daisy calms down when she realizes that not everything is trying to make her suffer, and she can make her fleeting, fond relationships with the other cohosts before inevitably betraying them, leaving them, or just carelessly hurting them in some way.

A creepy, and disease ridden masquerade attendee, Red Death is truly a terrifying villain. He will spread the plague across many guests, and feel nothing but contempt for them! I wish to play him because I really want to play a creepy, and villainous role for the ball!

A science experiment gone wrong, Mr. Hyde is a wild man ready to clobber anyone who gets in his way! I would love to play a brute like that!

♥why? :: He will be one of the most interesting characters I have ever played. Think about it: an invisible man in a dark room - if it's dark enough, nobody would be able to tell. Plus, I think I might have him look for something to make him visible again during the ball. There's also the chance that someone will mistake him for the headless horseman and he would flip his lid, since I plan on having everything covered except for his head. And there's always the chance that he might need to sneak around and so then he'd become the most awkward character in the room.
♥second choice :: Oliver Twist
♥why? :: Because he's adoooorable. Okay, I know that's not a good reason, but here's my scenario for him: Tired of living in the orphanage, he escapes to the room and finds a nice snack table (if you decide to have one set up) and instantly starts stuffing his face. He soon gets a stomachache from both not being used to such rich food and the fact that he's so full.
♥third choice :: Atalanta (from the Quest for the Golden Fleece)
♥why? :: I'll say it now: Atalanta was amazing. She was a woman who did manly things in a time where that was frowned upon. Unfortunately, she got turned into a lion sometime after she got married. So, my idea for when she gets out of her story is that she refuses to get married as soon as she learns what happened to her and runs off to this room.

♥first choice :: March Hare
♥why? :: I am the March Hare in a cosplay group and can play him quite well. Just as myself, he is energetic and silly. And not just that, but one of my room hosts is the Mad Hatter and those two are known to be best friends, so it would work pretty well. I have been studying him and even quote him frequently. He is also very energetic, a quality that will be tolerant with Peter Pan and the Hatter.
♥second choice :: The Phantom
♥why? :: I absolutely love Phantom of the Opera, and the Phantom is a total badass while also being so kind to Christine. He is a bit of a flirt which I enjoy playing and I feel like I can relate to him, how he will do what it takes to win over the person that he loves. It would also be fun to play a jealous Phantom. He could be that one character who is a Debbie Downer in a silly room.
♥third choice :: The Beast
♥why? :: Beauty and the Beast is a very touching story. I really like how the beast is a selfish prince that turns compassionate, and I love characters that have a change in heart! Playing a cold character is yet another thing that I enjoy, especially when they turn into a very kind figure.

Sneaking. Chessie approves, because invisible doesn't totally apply to a being that can be as corporeal as he feels like being at any given moment. <3 I mean, I've always assumed that invisible people have a way to see themselves, like their eyes are different, because if not they would make noise all the time because of stubbed toes and tripping over themselves and everything they can't judge the distance from.
I mean, if there isn't a way to see yourself while invisible, then it's a pretty useless power, because who wants perpertual stubbed toes?

♥why? :: She's flirty and a total badass but funny too. She's totally the kind of girl I'd want to play me if my life was a movie. I know how to play her and have fun with her. Not to mention she has layers as well.
♥second choice :: Wicked Witch (Wizard Of Oz)
♥why? :: Misunderstood, but still angry about her shoes being stolen! I love this character! She's so much fun to play and explore and bring out her expected sides^.^
♥third choice :: Alice
♥why? :: I KNOW this character inside and out. I've seen/read/played EVERY AiW reference, even WCMI! I love the characters curious yet proper personality and feel I could do her justice but I know ALOT of people want Alice.
