Nevada rolled the bracelet on her wrist back and forth as she made her way to the life labs. One of her favorite and one of the few people she knew was typing away on the closest computer at hand.
Smiling, she slid up to the life hunter and laced her arms over his shoulders, leaning down to whisper in his ear.
"Don't you ever think lab work is boring Lex?" Easy flirtation oozed from her words as she studied the screen. Might as well be greek to her since she had no idea what she was looking at.

Actually, it was a mix of Norse, Latin, and English. Lex was working with some programs, just experimenting with the runes he'd learned. So far he knew how to make something larger or smaller, or weigh less. No shape molding or cool added effect yet.
Smiling gently as she looped her arms around his neck, he turned his head to peck her cheek. "Eh, I like it well enough. Keep the bird shut up." He pointed to his temple, regarding Regal.
"You sound like you have something in mind. Is it anything...consequential?" He couldn't help but stare at the bracelet/ It screamed at him. His fault, his fault. All his fault.

Without moving herself, she smiled at the small peck and noticed his discomfort. Instead of pulling her arm back though, she sighed against him.
"If you look at it too long and beat yourself up over it, then your going to fall into a pit of doom. It's only for a month Lex. Not a lifetime." Her words were meant to soothe rather then entice anger, "And I do have something up my sleeve...within our boundaries of work that is..."
She chuckled as she reached over, minimizing his work window to pull up a search window.
"Remember our trip to the labyrinth? Well..." She typed a couple of words over him, and then leaned over to touch the mouse pad on the link it provided. "How about we take a trip to see the gods?"

He clenched his jaw ever so slightly as she told him not to worry. How could he not worry? It was his fault, he was the one who'd commended others for disobeying orders. He only sighed though, smiling at her. She was right - if he went into the pit, he would get them both killed.
"Oh...looks interesting. So, we're talking Zeus and those guys now, right?" He asked, clicking a few things. Yup. Zeus, Posideon, Hades, Hermes, and all the others. The ones who'd put the Titans in prison in the first place.
Sounded like a good plan. Plus, he'd get to get off the island for a bit.
"Well, I'm always down for a bit of camping. Lemme get packed first, and we can be off."

"I knew I could count on you to come investigate something dangerous Lex, Especially Gods." She leaned back, freeing him from her clingy hold and pursued her lips. "Ah yes! That's right. Best go grab some supplies of my own so I don't have any mishaps this time around."
She turned on her heel and threw her long hair over her shoulder. "See you at the lighthouse portal handsome."
----
Maybe a half hour later from her initial talk with Lex, she arrived at the portal carrying a knapsack of the basics. Without Roland today, It would be the two camping out. And while she was a Mist...she had questionable survival skills...or senses.
In her pack was a change of clothes, dried food, water and s sleeping bag sort of thing. Plus daggers...Barrier daggers like Roland had brought when they first came.
"Portal to weeping forest please." She snorted at the tech, Now...just to wait for Lex.

Lex winked at her as he deleted the document he'd been experimenting with, looking around to make sure no one from the Death division was snooping. He deleted the document from the screen, and then from the actual hard drive itself. Couldn't be too careful.
--
He arrived just after Nevada, Hunter coat buttoned and a bag full of spare clothes, nuts, bandages, and a small sleeping bag hung over his shoulder. "Well, hello beautiful. Did I keep you waiting? My apologies." He said gently, walking up to the portal. Normally he would let a woman through an entrance first, but this was going into enemy territory.
"See you on the other side." He quipped, giving her a raised brow as he went through.

"Always handsome." She watched him head in before her. Giving a wave to the tech, she too disappeared into the portal before it closed behind her. "Oh hello weeping forest, we've come to camp in you again."
She was strangely upbeat and active for the usually lazy girl...or it could be that not finding a single artifact from the labyrinth had upset her and she was DETRIMENED to return back to dues with one.
"First camp, Then we do our thing." She stabbed the daggers in the ground like Roland had when they first came before throwing her knapsack in.
"Time to search." She stretched...right into a portal into someone's house. At a table set for family where she seemed to sit right with them. "good evening folks..." Nevada smiled as she stared at her plate, which was empty. "You mind? Thank you." And proceeded to load it before disappearing back to the woods...with a full plate of food.
"Lex, I caught dinner!" Kinda of.

Giving Nevada a wink and a slap on the bum, he took a chicken finger off the plate and made his way into a portal, landing in the middle of Times Square, right next to some chump playing "Wonderwall."
Lex kindly stood up and excused himself from the situation, muttering a simple, "What a douche." as he walked away and back to the forest.
"Ugh, why do people still play that awful Oasis song." He shook his head, smiling. Her turn.

Nevada shrugged and offered the plate to him again. "Because its a classic?" She had no idea even what song it was. As soon as she took a step outside of the barrier, A portal dropped her into the middle of a very complicated dance by a very surprising amount of Islanders.
Unsure of what to do....Nevada rose her hand and whispered..."How?"
Pretty sure rascist ran through her head as she took a step back from the colorfully dressed natives and right back into the forest. Without so much color.
"What a trip."

Taking another chicken strip - they must have been Tyson brand, they were actually really good - Lex ventured out of the barrier again to try and find the correct portal.
Instead, he found the one that dropped him in front of the Haunted House. Nope. No way. Too many memories flooded in all at once, and their consequences. No thanks.
He took a step back, and was back at their campsite. He sighed before sitting down for a second, shaking his head.
"I'm sure you didn't get as bad as what I just got."

"I wonder if we just wish for the portal to be there...and it would be?"
Wishing worked right?
Well it did when you were right in the middle of Disney world with the Princess Cinderella worker staring at you like you we're a ghost.
"When you wish upon a star~" Nevada waved to the kids and winked at them, "Magic really does happen."
And stepped back to Lex. "Don't worry. Magic will happen soon. Hopefully.~~" Roll: 3/6

Lex shrugged, and made a really, really hard wish as he stepped out of the portal.
It worked, apparently. He grinned, chuckling slightly as he sat down. Now to just wait for Nevada...
