Trae was chilling on the swing set with Blake. Ever since Blake had moved in and started dorming with Sha they'd seen much more of each other. And true to his word on this very playground not too long ago, Blake had brought in the first few Spiderman comics.

Trae had of course diligently and carefully read them. He'd even managed to keep Sha's dirty little paws off of them. Which meant he was able to return them, once read, in perfect condition. "So I think Mary Jane is the girl for Peter." Trae said. "I don't like that super rich one. I feel like she'll flip out when she finds out. But I really liked the way that Spiderman dealt with Venom."

Blake was thrilled to be spending time with Trae on the playground. He was even more thrilled that Trae had read his comics and returned them exactly as he had given them out. It was as he expected of Trae, but it made him happy to be proven right anyway.

"Yeah I agree, Mary Jane is much better." Blake swung his legs a bit idly. "My favorite part was the bit in volume three where..." Blake started off on describing his favorite scene with a smile. He started swinging a bit as he spoke and got more excited. "And then Spider Man just came down out of nowhere!" He jumped off the swing as if for emphasis before turning back to look at Trae. "And it was just really awesome. What was your favorite?" Blake walked back over to settle in onto his swing again.

Across the playground a pair of siblings came on the scene. Both children, both wearing designer clothes, one a male elf with brown hair and gold eyes, the other a female fallen with impeccable black hair and eyes that reminded one of the eye of a peacock feather. They both surveyed the playground, the girl looking disgusted and the boy with an eager intensity seeming to search for something specific.

"Hunter come on do we really have to play here?" The girl gave a put upon sounding sigh and she folded her arms over her chest. The boy turned his intense golden eyes on her, looking displeased.

"Yes Deirdre, I'm sick and tired of being cooped up in that stupid school. We're going to hang out here today." By hang out Hunter meant play, however the word seemed to be taken out of his vocabulary to describe this particular activity. His father had told him not to be so childish after all. Deirdre huffed and pouted a bit.

"There is sand everywhere, it is going to get in my shoes. Can we at least do something that isn't going to get me all dirty?" Her voice took on a slight whining tone imitating the one her mother's often took on when she had to do something she didn't want, especially when it involved doing something that might chip a nail or wrinkle her clothes.

"Fine." Hunter's voice came out clipped and measured. Having a prissy sister could be quite tiresome but as he was new to the school he'd yet to find anyone else worthy of spending his time with. Somehow he wondered if spending more time here was going to fix that. Scanning over the playground one more time, he tried to pick something they could do that would entertain him enough without his whiny sister getting dirty.

It seemed the only acceptable activity was already occupied however. There were two boys with differing shades of pink hair settled onto the new object of Hunter' interest. Well there was no way he was going to let such a pair of wussy looking boys keep him from having a good time.

"Come along Deirdre, we're going to use the swings." With that he headed off in the direction of his target knowing Deirdre would trail along after him.

Looking over to the swings, Deirdre could see they were already in use. "But Hunter there's already some kids using them..." It seemed he wasn't listening though so she started off after him. "Wait up!"

"I did really enjoy how sneaky he was, it always kind of surprises me. I mean he can be such an obvious person. And yet, he can be super sneaky when it suits him." He was about to expand on that thought when two impeccably dressed children started their way across the playground toward him.

The boy's facial expression wasn't encouraging. The girl's looked somewhat worried to him. His hopes of them swinging around and heading for the slide or sandbox were dashed. "Uh, Blake, do you know those two?"

Blake took pause when Trae asked him about the kids heading towards them. He turned his face away from Trae to look at them and felt a strong sense of... something. He couldn't quite describe it but he knew that the boy headed towards them had the potential to be dangerous.

"No I have no idea who they are... do you?" Blake's tone came out apprehensive. He kind of hoped that Trae knew them and they were ok but he also thought that hope was far fetched.

Hunter stopped in front of the two boy, golden eyes sliding from one, disgustingly he thought, pink boy to the next.

"You two get up we want to use these." Hunter's voice came out with a self assured command. By then Deirdre had caught up with him. She kind of gave him a funny look before turning to look at the two on the swing. She was pretty sure at least one of them was a boy, though one had such long pink hair it was hard to tell. Boys didn't wear their hair long, and especially not pink did they? Her eyes bore into Trae as she tilted her head in puzzlement. Beside their hair color and markings, Deirdre couldn't see anything wrong with the two of them so she wasn't really sure why Hunter was talking to them that way.

"We can do something else while they use them, what's the big deal?" She swirled a bit of hair around her finger and glanced back and forth between Hunter and the boy...boys? Hunter turned his intense gaze from Trae and Blake to give his sister a withering look. Sisters were really impossible, were all girls really so dumb? Hunter had to wonder before turning his eyes back on the other two expectantly.

"No...Never seen them." Trae trailed off as they got closer. These two new kids were really well dressed, and the girl was really amazing looking. The boy looked mean though. And they both had a haughty, better then you air.

His first impression of them wasn't much changed when they opened their mouths to talk. The girl was definitely better. Who did that boy think he was? Some sort of royalty?

"Uh, we're using them right now, but we'll probably be off of them in a few minutes. So you can have them then." Least that guy could do would be say please. Jeez.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 14, 2012 10:59 pm

Narrowing his eyes, Hunter reached out and grabbed the chains of Trae's swing.

"We don't want to wait a few minutes. Get up." He wondered who this pink kid thought he was talking to, telling Hunter to wait. Deirdre looked a bit nervous. She knew Hunter could be really impatient but it seemed worse right now. Something about these pink people were getting under his skin.

Despite the fact every instinct told him the best solution would be to grab Trae and run away, he felt the need to try to chase this guy off first.
"Hey come on.... we said you could have them in a few minutes. Just wait your turn like everyone else." This got Hunter's attention and he slowly turned to regard Blake.

"That would imply I was like everyone else... do you honestly think we're on the same level?" Deirdre nervously twirled her finger into her hair faster and faster. Of course she knew that Hunter and herself were superior but she didn't like how physical this had the potential to be getting.

"On our level? Obviously not. We're polite." Trae said, tone clearly saying that Hunter was below their level. "See if you'd just waited patiently instead of being rude, we'd probably already have given you the swings."
PostPosted: Sun Dec 23, 2012 7:59 pm

Hunter returned his attention back on Trae. Obviously this kid was too stupid as well as pink to understand what he was messing with so Hunter thought he'd do him a favor and help him out with that. Using his Staring Down the Barrel power, he ensured that Trae would start to realize the seriousness of talking back to him. Deirdre now was feeling torn, where she had been feeling sympathetic to the pink boys, now the one was talking back like he was better then them. That was starting to rub her the wrong way too.

To his his point home, Hunter swiftly let go of the swing chain and made a fist in Trae's shirt.

"Let me say this more simply." It was a phrase he'd heard his father use on some stupid servant that seemed to not be getting his point. "Get off the swing..." He paused calmly. "Or I'm going to rip that girly pink hair right out of your skull. He finished his threat with more of a growl to his voice. This kid had REALLY pissed him off and Hunter wanted him to know.

At this point Blake couldn't just sit there and watch any more. Maybe it was from reading all those comics, or maybe Blake was just the type to risk his own neck for a friend, maybe it even pissed him off that Hunter was making the pink thing an issue but he charged up into a standing position regardless. Deirdre at this point was terrified, she'd never seen or hear Hunter act like this. Hints of it maybe but this was scary. He was threatening to rip that boy.... girls.... whatever's hair out. That was too much. Before she could say anything though the one she was sure was a boy spoke up.

"No way you are not touching a single hair on his head." He glared at Hunter, cheeks puffed out in obvious annoyance.

Hunter really couldn't believe these two. They must have been stupid to try to take him on. He could take both of them easily while barely lifting a finger, though at this point he thought it might be satisfying to punch one of them in the mouth. Deirdre danced from one foot to the next unsure of what she wanted to do.

Trae's pink eyes widened when the elf stared him down. For some reason he was suddenly a lot more concerned then he had been not two seconds ago. Oh crap. He'd really try to yank his hair out... wait. Hair. Double oh crap, if he tried to pull it out it would sting him! That is the last thing he needed showcased, his abnormal tentacle hair.

He was already having trouble not giving into the feelings he was having and downright stinging him already... He didn't like being backed into a corner like this with his heart pounding away inside his chest. Uuugh this wasn't going to end well. That scary kid was going to get stung, he tried to keep his stinging reflex down but it was getting more difficult by the moment.

Then Blake stood up to him, Trae still didn't know the guys name, and tried to protect Trae. Trae turned to look at him, some hair taking the opportunity to slip over his chest naturally to rest oh so innocently by the hand fisted in his shirt. Oh Blake, so brave. He was going to get punched. Or he was going to get one of them punched and the new kid stung. What a horrible situation.

Now that Blake was standing and all ready to charge it seemed to Hunter that he needed to be dealt with. He slowly let go of Trae's shirt and turned to face Blake, looking him up and down appraisingly.

"Well if you seriously think a girl like you can stop me..." Hunter smirked at Blake a bit challengingly, but mostly like he thought Blake's threat was funny.

At being called a girl Blake's blood boiled a bit, though he fought to keep a cool head. Getting all worked up over name calling wasn't going to help him in this instance. He put on his best brave face and glared at Hunter.

"I can stop you if I need to. I'm not a coward, I'm not a weakling, and regardless I'm not a girl."

Hunter's eyebrows shot up. This one obviously had some kind of hero complex it seemed. He was going to have to be cut down to size at some point.

"Hunter come on stop it this is stupid! They're just swings." Deirdre's mind raced for ways to get Hunter to calm down and go elsewhere. "Besides, fighting is so low class. What are you thinking threatening them like some kind of... criminal?" For lack of any other idea she knew that Hunter usually didn't like when his class was being called into question and hoped that would make him stop. She didn't even worry that he might turn his anger on her, she was his sister after all.

Hunter gave a serious pause to what Deirdre was saying. He wondered what she thought she was doing, questioning him in front of these strangers. Snapping around to give her a serious disapproving look. She wilted a little under that gaze but still hoped he'd back down.

"Sometimes Deirdre the upper class has to take what they want by force, with their own two hands even. But I forgot how delicate you are. I think our parents would both agree a lady shouldn't witness violence. So in that case...." He slowly turned to look at the other two again. "I'll have to teach them their place at another time." Hunter gave them each a look that promised trouble for them in the future.

Deirdre thought she wasn't too delicate, or at least she didn't think she'd faint or anything like that. She wanted to argue that a lady could be strong too if she had to, but even if she wasn't always the smartest, she knew that it was best to be quiet when she was getting her way about something.

Blake meanwhile just returned Hunter's look with a glare. He wanted him to just stay away from Trae, or well anyone. The distinct feeling that Hunter was bad news was settled firmly in his gut.

Hunter turned and started heading off. "Come on Deirdre, we're going back inside." Deirdre sighed lightly, they had just gotten outside and while she wasn't much for the outdoors she had been enjoying the fresh air.

"Fine, but give me a moment I have a rock in my shoe from walking through this sand. I told you I didn't want to come over here at all. Dierdre huffed at him lightly. Even if his level of hostility today was alarming she was well and properly annoyed and she wanted to be away from him a few moments. Hunter hesitated, looking back at her before his eyes slid back to the two pink boys. Deirdre went over to the bench that was right by the swings and sat down before giving Hunter another look. "Well go on Hunter I'll be inside in a minute."

Hunter wanted to roll his eyes, she was being totally ridiculous being annoyed at him. He'd have to set her straight later. He gave a stern warning look to Blake and Trae and then headed off back inside in the foulest of moods. He was going to make those boys pay dearly later.

Trae tried to shake himself out of his frozen state. Why couldn't he act? Blake was going to get his butt handed to him and here he was standing around like some giant tool. Especially when that stupid guy pinned him with a glare.

And then like an angel (Haha puns. He hung out with Sha too much.) from heaven the beautiful girl defused the situation deftly. What a classy girl. Beautiful and classy. What an awesome combination. Too bad she was stuck with such a... a... bully for a brother.

By the time he'd gotten through his thoughts on the girl he found his heart rate soothing and his breathing going back to normal and the stupid guy had gone out of earshot, leaving the pretty girl behind on a bench. "Oh man. He is such bad news." He finally said to Blake, taking another deep breath. "And girls aren't weak, I'd like to see him say that to Storm. I mean that girl just manipulated him into leaving us alone." He didn't even think to hide the admiration in his voice. He'd seemingly forgot fighting with his hair to avoid making the situation worse.

"I'm going to go thank her." He said and took a couple shaky steps in her direction before his stride firmed and he shed the last of the intimidation. "Uh, sorry about the trouble, thanks for defusing that. It was really clever and I appreciate it."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 09, 2013 10:39 pm

Before Blake could even say anything to his friend about what had just happened, off he went to thank that girl over there. He wasn't sure that was the best of ideas but Trae was already gone. Blake lagged behind a moment to think over what had just happened. Some kid had just threatened to actually rip his friend's hair out and in a fit of protective adrenaline he, Blake, had stood up to him. While part of him was proud of himself, he was already worried about Hunter's threat for the future. His hands shook slightly as he tried to collect himself.

Deirdre looked up at the one girlier looking one who was apparently talking to her. She froze midway through taking her shoe at off to blink her pretty eyes at Trae in slight shock. It seemed strange to her that either one of them would talk to her after the look her brother had given them.

"Um..." She glanced back at the door her brother had gone through. "You're welcome? I was just trying to get Hunter to stop because he was being so... weird." It wasn't like she'd done it for them exactly, even if the idea of Hunter hurting them was pretty upsetting to her. The fact he'd called her clever made her really happy though.

"It wasn't even really that hard. He's really hung up on his status though... I think I'm the only one that can get away with questioning it." She paused and then looked at Trae and then Blake with brows furrowed. "You two definitely shouldn't try that, it'll just make him hate you more. You both need to be really careful.

"I do not have any intention of putting myself into his path." He said. "Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for stepping in." So gracefully. He refused to let himself add on. He nodded to her and went back to Blake as his short burst of pretty girl related courage failed him.

"Maybe we should just go back inside, Blake." Trae said with an annoyed expression. The swings were ruined for today.
