<P> A Flower For A Forest (Glyph/Caelia)

Caelia was on a mission.

Even better, she was allowed to march on said mission on her lonesome (like a big girl, she reminded herself proudly) as long as she did not get out of the pantheon building without asking someone to come with her.

This was positively amusing. No trouble with aoidei ! Just blessed freedom.

Her daddy was clearly the best daddy.

She knew exactly where to go for this flower, though what she was not aware of was how rarely her uncle was actually home. Still, she stopped in front of Glyph's door, basket in tow, stood on the very tip of her toes (the doors were all so tall !) and knocked.

Glyph had been on his way out, having stopped back at the pantheon long enough to calm his Aoide and enjoy the new room he now shared with Xun. It was a lovely abode, expansive and open and lush. The scent of running water and fresh grass greeted Caelia as the door swung open to reveal the tall god, his toes flexing in strange ways as he peered down at the unexpected guest.

At a loss for a name, he simply smiled and crouched, his mass of green mane filling the door way as he opened his arms in an offering of a hug. This was Ankou's child, a godling with fresh face and untested spirit... innocent and lovely. And she was here alone!

"What brings you here little one?" He grinned, enfolding her in an earthy embrace smelling of tree sap and wood.

"Hi !" She would blurt happily. If she had not been carrying her basket, Caelia would have probably all but leaped into her uncle's arms - but since the basket was in the way, she settled for a tamer hug instead. "It's been awhile~" Glyph must have been busy like her daddy was, no doubt. "Are you busy ? I have something for you !"

What this 'something' was would be obvious if Forest bothered to look down into the basket. Careful foresight was not Caelia's strong point.

'"It has! You've grown a great deal Caelia! Some day you might even be as tall as me!" He embraced her then patted his bar chest with a grin, knowing the girl considered him to be positively giant.

"I'm never busy when you've need of me," he chuckled, glancing at the basket curiously, "Did you bring sweets?" He sniffed at the air, a mischievous sparkle in his gaze. That he was bribeable with sweets had quickly become common knowledge to the three youngsters.

"That would be awesome." Yes, as far as Caelia was concerned, Forest was a living giant, and the height would certainly be useful ! Then she wouldn't be falling off chairs and counters in her attempt to reach things. The falls did kind of hurt !

There was indeed sweets in her baskets, but they were for someone else ! Though, there was nothing wrong with sharing at long as her uncle didn't eat all of them. "Maybe." She grinned. But first Augury would pull out a flower from her basket. "For you~ !"

He pouted. "Maybe?" Glyph had opened his mouth to make a quip when Caelia presented the flower to him and he blinked, cupping it in both hands as he accepted it with a broad smile, "Oh! Thank-you Caelia!"

He proudly tucked it into his hair where it sat like an ornament and seemed to take root, wiggling a bit as it became secure. "What do you think? Do I look good?" Glyph posed for the goddess, puffed up and proud of her gift.

"Yes !" Her uncle was the prettiest uncle, she decided. Especially with his flower on ! The red stuck out nicely with the leaves. "Very good !"

She bopped the basket back and forth, grinning. Should she just give Glyph a few cookies, or should she had him search for them ?

He grinned and ducked a bow, thrilled by her gift. Winking as he reached forward, he made a not-so-subtle pass at the cookies to see if Caelia might spare the poor god one... or a dozen.

Her uncle's expression made her laugh - a loud, cheerful sound. He looked so silly. "Here, I can give you a few." She rummaged though her basket, producing a few of the baked goods - oats and chocolate chips, from the sound of it. "The rest are for a friend."
