Lily walked into her house dropping her keys and purse on the entryway table and heading into the kitchen to grab a snack. "Alex," she called out, "you home from school yet?"
She listened for a moment, but heard nothing and figured Alex hadn't made it home yet, which probably meant she was alone for the moment. She wasn't sure if Johnathan had school today, or even what school her went to or when he would get out. Her brother had left early in the morning, to do what she wasn't really sure, but she suspected it was to work on getting back on track with this residency as she would be continuing on with that in January.
After putting some grapes into a bowl she went to sit at the kitchen table, munching on the grapes and sifting through a newspaper that had been left in the morning. The paper did nothing, but make her frown. More youma sighting, or rather people telling fantastic stories as the newspaper sometimes referred to them. More mystery destruction, more death and more missing persons. She fished through the paper for the comics before depositing the mess of a newpaper in the chair beside her, she would pick it up later.
She grinned at the silly comment, enjoying her grapes and her quiet moment.

Newspapers can't just sit on the floor. The washer clicked shut, buzzed and began its latest cycle as Johnathan waltzed out of the laundry room, white plastic laundry bin in hand. He was about to plop down on the couch to do some serious folding when, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted the newspaper. Either Alex was home or it was... "Oh hi Lily! How're you?" chirped the boy from behind the pile of laundry. He plunked his basket down on the couch and walked over to pick up and fold the paper. Truth be told, he wasn't sure if he would continue on with school much longer or if he should continue to train and serve the Negaverse full time. Decisions, decisions. But the tasks at hand were Lily, newspaper and laundry. Life was full of tough choices. Now Johnathan didn't know Lily incredibly well - all he'd really known of her was what Alex had told him. And if Alex liked her then she must be good. Right? Johnny smiled at the redhead and started to fold laundry.

Lily started at the sudden appearance of Johnathan whom she hadn't even known was home. She looked at him wide eyed, but smile after just a moment giving a small chuckle. "You frightened me. I didn't realize you were even home," she said watching as he picked up the newspaper.
She flushed slightly, "I was going to pick that up," she said softly before popping another grape in her mouth.
She folded the comic pages she had been reading and placed them in front of her before turning to Johnny and smiling, "I'm great, had a fairly day. Lunch with my old boss and discussing my return to work. I told her I probably shouldn't start back until I got my school schedule. Now that I'm back from England its back to college."
She gave quick grin eating another grape, then held the bowl out to Johnny silently asking if he wanting any. "How are you? Did you have a good day?"

Johnny sputtered at Lily with a smile on his face. "I guess I'm good at bein' quiet sometimes, huh?" he said, almost proud. He would say that he was a damn good ninja but that seemed risky and inappropriate, especially when he didn't know if Lily was on their side or not. The newspaper was a trivial thing anyway and Johnny thought it might be a good idea to explain to Lily how he helped out around the house as repayment for allowing the boy to stay there. "Don't worry about it. It's kinda like my job to pick up after stuff and a lotta times I do laundry and cook dinner, but Alex gets mad if I do too much stuff." The boy with snow blue hair frowned, sitting down with a pile of shirts to fold them. "But I'm real good at it so I don't mind. I don't have a job yet so this is kinda how I help out, you know?" He tilted his head at Lily's next question. Sure, he'd been skipping school but he tried not to think about it. "Pretty good! I got a lotta work done today. Did all my laundry and some a' Alex's -- I can do yours too if you want! -- and I did my bed linens and vacuumed the hallway and the stairs, n' lunch is ready in the fridge for tomorrow if you want some, and I'm thinkin' about makin' a pie... What were you doin' in England? Alex said he missed you a lot, Lily."

Lily grinned and nodded, "yes very good at it. I'll have to remember that when I come home so I don't get startled, not that you meant to do it of course." It was good to be able to be quiet in a full house, she thought, of course for other reasons than sneaking out at night.
She popped a few more grapes in her mouth, there weren't many left now, and chewed them up listening to Johnny talk and frowning slightly as he went on. She was glad Alex didn't let the boy do to much, but she didn't really like that he said it was kind of like his job. She nodded reluctantly, "you really don't have to do that, you know. I don't want to feel like you have to do that," she mumbled, not really sure what to say to it.
The thought was pushed from her mind at the offer to have her laundry done. She flushed bright red and held her hand up shaking her head. "No no ... um I can do my own laundry thank you very much though. It's amazing that you got so much done though, but why didn't you go to school. Aren't you still in high school?"
She frowned slightly and the frown only deepened when she thought of England. "My family went on vacation, but at the end my parents decided we should stay, they said it would be good for the family and asked me to support them and my dad's new job. I was miserable and I just wanted to come back to England, so I did. Only I didn't really tell them, so they came looking for my, but now they went back to England. I don't want to go back. I missed Alex a whole lot to. I did have some fun there though."

Johnny gave her another smile. "Oh I know. Alex gave me the whole rundown about it before but like I keep tellin' him - I'm good at it so why not help around the house, you know?" He wasn't about to tell Lily that he was kicked out of his own house by his mother to escape his father's wrath for that very same talent. His father hated how much time his son spent in the kitchen or around the house doing menial work like a housewife. The last thing Joseph wanted for his son was to be a slave to household chores. Johnny never minded, though. The question about school made him gulp, stopping in the middle of a half-folded polo shirt. "Uh... well I... uh..." What sort of excuse could he make about that? The truth was that he'd rather spend time with Alex and doing things for the Negaverse than go through school and perhaps... he was slipping into slight depression. Not that Lily needed to know that. "I guess I just got so wrapped up in my work here that I kinda... forgot to go... Lame as that sounds." He offered her a sheepish smile. "Why were thing so bad here, Lily? I mean, you had Alex, you know? Is Destiny City really all that bad?"

Lily nodded and then smiled. "That makes sense. It's like me and singing. I love it and I can play the piano too. I sing all the time," well she hadn't hardly at all in England, but that was beside the point. "I sing well, or so I'm told, so why not."
She grinned leaning forward looking all happy and eager, "maybe sometime you can teach me to cook some things. I mean I can cook some things, but Alex is better. I'd probably starve without him. Or eat out a lot. Its a good think I like salads because that's what I make best."
She have a quick nod at his excuse about school, she guess that sort of thing could happen. It wasn't a terribly big deal for just one day. "Don't fret about it. Just try not to forget tomorrow. Everyone need their education. It's going to make you more productive and more of an asset in the future. M'kay?"
Lily shrugged at the question, that she couldn't answer truthfully. "I think my parents read to much into the news. I don't think they were thinking about Alex, at the time. I don't know it all very annoying. I love Destiny City, all my friends are here and I had just started college too. I didn't want to switch, going to a English College was very different."
She leaned back and stretched, "enough about all that though, it so depressing, right? I can help you fold and we can talk about something else."

Johnny brightened significantly when the prospect of teaching someone how to cook. "Oh that would be AWESOME. We can bake and do pasta and steaks and oh man Lily it'll be great! Then I can have some help for Christmas dinner! I mean I might go to my parent's house if my dad is well enough for it but otherwise..." Maybe Lily could sing to him to make him feel better. Johnny visibly drooped when the subject of his home life was brought up. His dad was one on of his downward spirals. "...maybe I'll be here? I mean I haven't asked Alex if it'd be okay if I went to his place or... or yeah... I dunno." He didn't know Lily well enough to feel comfortable asking whether he could go with her for Christmas. Everything was so up in the air right now. Johnny sighed and scratched his head, his mop of wavy snow blue hair shaking with the motion. "Uh... anyway... I'd like to hear you sing sometime. My mom liked the piano but she never played. I don't really play anything or sing or anything like that but... I do origami?" He offered a slight smile. "You know, like cranes and stuff?"

Lily smiled and nodded feeling Johnny's excitement. She honestly thought that learning to cook sounded like a great idea especially with such an enthusiastic teacher. At the mention of Christmas dinner, she nodded with a grin, but stopped mid-nod when he said he might go home. From there she became a bit confused and it became clear he wasn't sure where he was going for Christmas.
"Don't worry about Christmas okay? I'm sure if you don't go home you'll be right here with me, Alex and my brother. If that's okay with you of course. We'll have a great time and everyone can cook together and everything. It will be so much fun. I can't wait to learn to cook all sort of stuff."
Lily beamed at the mention of singing and gave another nod, "of course I'll sing for you. I know tons of songs and I even have some videos on youtube. My sister is sure I am going to be famous someday. I think I would like that."
"Origami," she question curiously and thought on it for a second, "that takes a lot of concentration. Some of the stuff is so lovely. I like the cranes. Uh, could you make me one, with um green floral paper. It would be so pretty! Maybe I can teach you to play the piano and you can play for your mom."

"Oh, so you guys aren't going anywhere? That's good. That means..." I have a place to go!Johnny suddenly seemed a lot brighter. The thought of cooking up a lovely Christmas meal while being surrounded by friends was something he really enjoyed. It was something positive and relatively normal. Completely mundane and completely different than what Johnny, as Bazzite, did for the Negaverse. It was a comforting thought. He wouldn't have to worry about energy quotas or training or his father's illness. Lily offering to sing was comforting too. "I don't really know too many songs but anything pretty is nice. Same with the piano. If you could teach me then maybe I could play for mom and make her happy again!" Johnny giggled for a moment, picturing Lily on the cover of CDs someday. "You better promise to remember me n' Alex when you get all famous an' stuff! I want backstage passes n' all that okay?" The boy nodded vigorously at Lily's request. "I can do cranes n' lotuses n' all kinds of stuff. I'll make a special one for you, kay?"

"Nope, my family went back to England and well I'm not going back to England for a while. If they want to come back for Christmas they can come here," she said a little stubbornly, but really she felt it would be good for them to have a bit of time apart for once. She was still a bit miffed about the England thing, that much was obvious.
Lily smiled, "living with me I'm sure you will know lot of songs in no time. I sing all the time. If you've ever seen Anastasia, than you've hear the song Once Upon a December. It's one of my favorite. I can sing it and play it on the piano too. If you know you're mother's favorite songs I can try to teach you that."
Lily started laughing that the comment of when she got famous. She shook her head wiping away tears that formed from her laughter. "Don't be silly of course I won't forget you guys. I'll be super lonely, if I forget my friend right? Who's going to ride with me on the tour bus?"
She giggled feeling light and happy. It felt like she could have know Johnny forever and though she didn't know how he and Alex met, she was glad for it. It was nice to know Alex has a nice friend like Johnny. Lily knew he didn't have many.
"Awesome," she said grinning at the prospect of having pretty origami to put up in her room and maybe some in the living room. "You can even show me how sometime, maybe?" She didn't think she would be any good a origami, as she was no artist, that was Alex, but she thought it might be fun to learn.
She sat back with a smile on her face, "so when do I get my first cooking lesson?"

"Hey wait... Lily, does that mean we'd be your groupies?!" Johnny had a new aspiration in life. "Yeah, I'll teach you how to make birds. Not cranes, but like... birds that sing! Since you like to sing so much, you know?" A bright smile crept onto his face. The laundry was pretty much all folded at this point which made his task all but complete. Onto the next one! It was getting to be mid-afternoon... hmm. Johnny stood up triumphantly. "You know, Alex oughta be home soon n' stuff and we need to make dinner so... how's about now?" He turned to Lily and gave her a quick once-over. "I think I have an apron that'll suit you. We can do whatever you like. We went to the store earlier so we got lotsa stuff to choose from!" Kaori_luv I think this is a good wrap up point!
