Off to a land of colorful worshiped deities and cows. Animals to a slaughter that never came at the hands of the humans that seemed to worship them, though. Not even the dead were allowed to be touched. Such a shame to leave so much rotting meat out in the roads, Invictus thought. He carefully sat with his virus, feeding FEAR into it in a very methodical manner, turning it in his hands but keeping the contained disease from seeping through just yet.

"Not yet." he whispered, perhaps to it or himself, as he gathered it into one of his coat sleeves and slowly made his way towards the portal into the land of man. It was time to move again. He had told his father that this time would be the best time to move, but he had been deemed foolish for his actions. Had he not been right in the end?

Even now it had been deemed a proper time to move, and Invictus tried to contain the swelling of pride in his chest as he stepped out into the carefully paved streets of an Indian market, looking up towards towering colorful buildings - made of statue upon statue - in the distance.

How quaint.

Their gods could watch them die.

[WARNING - FLUIDS (ewww)]

He had stalked through the market carefully, eying a few individuals while taking careful note to keep his distance from the cows - which seemed to spook particularly easily when he was nearby, instead just giving them an almost wicked smile from a distance to send them running and a few men, perhaps owners, after them, into the distance. A quaint notion, but he kept his hands to himself.

After all, when there was a caste system in effect, he had to be particularly mindful of whom he would infect. To bring his touch to one who was so low that the disposal of the bodies of dead bovine was thrust upon them would be foolish. Nobody wanted to be near one tainted in such a way. A high level caste would come in contact with rather few as well. A mid level of some sort would be fine... someone who sold something that many wanted...

He settled on a vendor of grains, reaching out as the man reached out to take money from another and gently grasping his hand, drawing his index finger across the surface of it, leaving a small slice across it. The man winced, pulling his hand back to look at it, a befuddled look on his face before murmuring something his own native tongue. Invictus discerned it as a 'Strange, she must have scratched me by accident.' but overall he treated it without too much concern.

Invictus' grin would have unnerved even his closest relatives in that moment.

Excellent.

Invictus sat for some time, watching the man as he'd continuously scratch at his palm, the irritation getting to him as the day progressed, but seeming to be fine until one exchange brought sudden horror on the face of the woman buying from him. 'Your hand!' she pulled her own hands away from him suddenly, a look of terror on her face. Invictus took a deep breath. Yes. Keep up that feeling. Beautiful. The man looked to his own hand and made the same face. Beautiful. The rashed skin had begun to swell, and a small split in the surface of one boil had cracked open, sending pus and blood across his palm. The man dabbed it away, excused himself, then went off to find the nearest source of water to draw some to clean the wound. As he dabbed at it, he took some time to investigate his body, finding several more of the ready-to-split boils on his body, a few bursting as he moved, the muscle's press under his skin enough to rend it.

The look of pain on his face every time was delightful.

However, from there, Invictus noticed a certain slowing of the symptoms. Enough to cause pain - the man walking with some difficulty, but the boils still causing him to ooze and bleed as he did so. On occasion, Invictus would reach out and press a finger lightly to one in order to further the bursting, rubbing the thick pus between his fingers before idly smearing it off on somebody he would pass by. An unfortunate victim of his whims.

Back at his booth, the man seemed to stare out passed people who wouldn't even stop to buy grain upon seeing his condition, several moving away from him, but some of the more able bodied taking it upon themselves to take up more violent methods. A few men with sticks began to gather, speaking towards the man to leave - that he was not welcome there. To go home. Invictus couldn't help but love this part - when other people began to be bothered.

Yet the man just curled up upon himself, slurring some near nonsense about pain. Pain that was not assisted by the beating, by angry words. More boils burst, a few spraying the offending men. Perhaps they too would be infected for their callous ways. Oh, humans were so easy to do this to themselves...

But it would be some time before the man was able to drag himself home, the pain lessening for just a short amount of time - but his body still sore from wounds inflicted by his own kind, not the protector. The man had barely been able to settle himself into his own house when the pain returned and he curled up into the fetal position, coughing and vomitting thick dark liquid onto the floor. It splattered and he collapsed into it.

But it would still be several more hours before the man finally died - in enough time for his family to check on him.

Something was definitely going down in the human world today, these emergency missions were coming through hard and fast. Horsemen, he could chase them all day, he owed them. He didn't expect on arrival at the designated point to see the horseman he had mentally dubbed "that guy in the PJs" who he always seemed to either run into or be completely thrashed by.

Well not ******** was summoned in a heartbeat and he charged into the fray at a flat out run, with adrenaline carrying him, the massive axe felt like he weighed nothing at all.

He lashed out with a snarl. It was too late to save the dying man, but to Rep, that wasn't the important part anyway. What was important was slicing ******** out of this horseman b*****d before he tried to crush him again.

It was another emergency call, and Melvin followed the other hunters that answered the call from the Lighthouse to another location that was clearly human. The place was thick with people, the smell of manure and spiced foods, and he looked about before frowning to see he was standing in a muddy street. Great. He just polished those shoes.

When he saw a head of Ginger rush by, Melvin summoned his gun and rushed after, watching the man swing his axe before following behind and aiming at a strange, very short ...boy?

Aiming, he shot out a green orb.

Jerry was happy to get out and about. And even happier to be out and about and blowing things up.

India had not been his first choice, honestly, but beggars couldn't be choosers.

If he was lucky, they'd destroy what horseman they could find and still have time to go shopping all the same.

At the sight of Invictus, though, terror sent chills down his spine, and a deep sharp ache in his abused leg. It was time for vengance.

"GET DOWN!" He suddenly barked to the rest of his team, leveling Roar on his shoulder, taking aim on the shining white horseman, and firing with a resonating blast.

Humans were filthy creatures - and at times sadly too stubborn for their own good, as it seemed he'd barely had enough time to settle in with his first prize before the once-heir had been located. It seemed usual enough for the cattle, but... as it was inappropriate to kill cattle in India, the heir considered the group with a look of mild disinterest. They did not matter to him.

Weapons, attacks that would have been much more fatal to those who were in a lesser position to the protector, he almost laughed, the corners of his lips twitching as Rep's horsemancrush was unrequited and he was, overall, ignored.

Still, he had to admit that it was getting more and more annoying to encounter these humans, feeling the burn of blood through his clothing - and then not so much through it as Jerry's blast burned away the fabric, exposing a burn which would likely be only temporary once Eris saw it (as their lives would be if Invictus was one to let the girls fight his battles for him) - as well as a few of the slashes from between Rep and Harrison.

However, he seemed more amused than injured as he continued to walk.

He could only imagine how they looked to the other humans at this point.

"Oh s**t, that's the guy from our trials. That ********- you know, the gravity horse. Don't stay too close. In, make a hit, and out. ...Jerry and Melvin, you got long-range weapons. Keep it that way."

Harrison said, bouncing back and forth before doing another flyby with a pair of pirate cutlasses. The handles were wrapped in wiring.

They started to spark.

"Dunno about a ******** horse, but that b*****d made me kneel. I'm going to ******** murder him." To anyone else it was a small slight, to someone as proud as Rep it had stayed with him for a long time after their last encounter.

Invi didn't care to remember him, one day he would make him.

Melvin looked over to Harrison, stepping forward and aiming again. "Gravity?" He had no idea who this little boy was, but he seemed to get Harrison's attention enough to know him by looking at him. That was not good.

"Got it." He said, trying to aim for such a small target.

Jerry growled, "Rep, don't be an idiot," He pushed his glasses up his nose and took aim for another shot, "The last time you sassed him you damn near shattered my leg."

His shot went wide and he hissed angrily under his breath.

If the hunters were trying to prevent him from actually going somewhere, they were doing rather well with it, actually, as Invictus stopped in his steps to look back towards them, his expression impassive as he touched at the blood on his chest, then towards the hunters.

It was like he didn't even recognize any of them - then again, he didn't care that he'd nearly destroyed Jerry's knee. He would have been disappointed that he actually hadn't destroyed the bones in it the last time they had met. Rep being forced to kneel? Not even on his radar anymore.

Then the blondes, in his head, were both the same person..somehow. So they really didn't mean much at all. Not even worth his breath. They'd wear out in time.

"So we'll stay short on the sass," Harrison said, flipping his swords into an icepick hold and making another hit.

The horseman barely seemed to notice.

[ thowing Ofelia in to help out cause big pony? ]

The portal landed her somewhere warm, she could hear noises, and Ofelia figured maybe answering an emergency call was pretty awesome to do? She knew the sounds of battle like they were a personal siren call and the teen summoned Rue, heading off.

She was surprised to find several people there already going at it, all of them she knew (naturally) and so. . . well, she lunged in and took a hit at it. Didn't do much good, this was. . .sort of not the normal average thing she was hitting.

It was a horsemen, she kinda hated horsemen, and Ofelia looked to the group. "Need another sun here?"

There was no greater slight than to be ignored, brushed off like a pathetic gnat by the heir. Humans were probably all alike in their eyes, a resource, no ******** different looking than one cow looked from another to humans. Unprocessed food.

"Don't ******** walk away from me." he snarled, ignoring all of Jerry's advice not to try and bait the guy. He didn't care, he couldn't stand being snubbed, it was as painful as if Invi had attacked him head on.

He knew. It was what he'd been hoping for.
