Since things had calmed down, Silas wanted to get his painting supplies on his own. And so, armed with some money from Asu and a list of things to get that was worded easily enough for him to read, he had gone down to the local paint store in search of his supplies. It turned out to be a little harder than he had thought... sure the list was easy to read, but the store's signs weren't, and the descriptions of the paints were even more gibberish-y to him. He sighed, squinting at a sign describing some oil paints as if that would make reading the words any easier.

Yoo had arrived earlier due to there being a sale and that he had run out of his art supplies. He hadn't even been there long and his arms were full of things, a few being what he actually came to get and a bunch that caught his eye. Luckily his parents still sent him money for Yoo to live off of and for taking care of their house but the adult was also getting some money from his art so he could afford to get a bit extra.
By the time it came time for Yoo to pay he was having a little bit more than trouble carrying everything to the front. A few things here and there fell and every time he would try to pick it up something else fell. He now regretted not getting a cart or asking his brother or anyone else to help. Worst part was that he wasn't even close to the front where the cashier was located.
"Oh gosh. Maybe I'm getting to much." He was beginning to think that maybe he should just get to the front then come back to get the things he had dropped but what if someone had an accident do to him. Yoo didn't like the thought of that happening. "H-help?" He asked in a low voice.

Silas shrugged and picked out a few of the paints, even if he didn't really understand the description, and put them into his basket. Just then he heard a small cry for help.
He stood up right and looked around, blinking a few times. He moseyed down the aisle and caught sight of Yoo losing his stuff all over the floor. It took him a second to react, but eventually he walked over and crouched down to pick up Yoo's stuff.
"Heer, I gottit." He stood up, wearing his trademark sleepy smile.

Overwhelmed with what to do he suddenly heard someone talk to him. It was another meta boy who had come to help him. A smile went to the adult's face, pleased to have help. "Thank you. You don't know how much I needed help but I guess that's my fault for getting to excited and getting so much." Yoo paused a little then got an idea. "Do you think you could help me to the front counter. I promise to pay you back somehow. It's kind of too hard to take all this without help." He made sure to ask as nicely as he could even if he got shot down. He really did hope the other boy would help him because it was clear that he needed it.

Silas emitted a muffled laugh and nodded his head. "Sure, I gotted a lot of stuff too." He nodded at the basket hanging on his arm, which was rather full. "You don' have t'pay me back tho', Mummy says helpin' is a gud thing t'do." He nodded a little more, and then headed up front to the cashier, expecting Yoo to follow, since that's where he wanted to go anyways. "D'you go t'the 'cademy too? Y'got wings laik me. 'Cept yers are fethery."

It really did make the adult happy that Silas had agreed to help him out. "Thanks again. I don't know what I would have done." He laughed a bit as he followed after the boy. "Oh yes I am. Good to see more of use around town. It seems some are still scared of going out even if they told us it was ok and it was safe. I'm not going to lie I was scared too but it's scarier to not have stuff to paint with anymore. Glad I did since it really seemed that it has cooled down with the people. There still are the stares but you get use to it." He didn't notice he had been talking a lot without even realizing it as he followed behind the boy. When he did he gasped. "Oh sorry I'm Yoo. I would shake your hand but they're busy at the moment. I'm also glad you mother taught you that but I still feel like I should help you somehow."

"Yeeah... My bruther Deskri still won't go off campuss, I think... But I hasn't seen 'im in awhile 'cause he dusn't like goin'out." Silas nodded a little and set Yoo's stuff down on the cashier's counter when it was time, and then moved to take his spot in line behind Yoo. "Oh, m'Silas, nice to meetyu." He grinned his sleepy grin. "Yeah the stares... not always nice... but I getted used to them. Always got stares when I was littler anyways."

"It's nice to meet you too." Yoo said as he began to set everything he carried down. "Maybe soon it will be completely back to the point that there are no more stares but that's probably too much to ask for but we all have each other. There are also those good people out there." He still smiled but had a sad look. It would be nice to think that they wouldn't be seen in a terrible way by everyone but the road to that was most likely a long one.
Sighing he turned to look at Silas. His speech was pretty different, like one of a child but Yoo knew there was probably a reason for that but at the same time he thought it was rather adorable. "So Silas tell me more about yourself. I bet you were given an art item like I did or your parents just really like it too."

"Yeeah, that'd be nice." He nodded, smiling a little. "Mmm, my ol'Gramma gived me a Paint Set." He nodded again, then added, "but she ain't m'gramma anymore." Silas shrugged a little and then set his basket down once there was room. "Gotted a new family 'cause m'real one were too busy to take care'a me 'n Momo. Whatta 'bout you? What'dyu get?"

It was a little saddening to hear about the boy's parents but at hearing Momo he remembered something important. "Wait haven't I met you before? I think I did. I can't believe I didn't remember until now that you were Moira's brother." Yoo was ready to hit himself with the palm of his hand from feeling so disappointed in himself. "I'm sorry I forgot but good to know you got a new family and from what I hear from Moira they're better for you two." He really did feel bad but it had been a while since he had seen Silas plus they didn't really talk much before. He laughed a bit nervously before talking again. "Anyway I got my father's old tablet and pen that he really loved."

Silas thought for a moment, and then it dawned on him as well. "Oh! I forgotted too!" He blinked a few times and shook his head. "I don' 'member toooo much from 'fore Whisper went away." He sighed and shrugged a little. "Oh that sounds cool... I never drawed with a tablet beefor. I watched Mummy do it tho', looks fun."

It put him a bit more at ease hearing that Silas had forgotten too but before Yoo could respond his attention was taken by the cashier. He looked over to her nervously, forgetting the cashier was there as well. Taking out his wallet he paid the amount and took his bag. There were a lot but at least he was able to manage them better that way even if they were heavy. "They're actually pretty fun to use after you get use to it. You should try it too. There's a lot you can do with it that you can't do with paints but the same could be said the other way around." Yoo was going to say his good bye but he didn't feel like ending it there. "If you want you could come over to my place and try out the one Moira got me. That is if you're allowed."

Silas went ahead and paid for his stuff once Yoo was done, and then picked up the bag. "Sherr, I dun think Mummy would mind. She's kinna busy anyways." He grinned, and nodded. "Mebbe I kin ask Mummy if I kin use hers sometime... her tablet I meen."

"You can call her from my place and leave a message if you want. I'm sure she'll even let you use her or even get you one too." Walking outside of the store he waited for the boy. It really did seem nice that he could get to know him more and possibly become his friend or even have someone to paint with. It was a very nice thought to him.

"Hehe.. I gotta sell-fone, I can send her a text I think... usually she sends me won if she gets werried." He shrugged a little and walked alongside Yoo. "D'you still live with yer famly?
