Two people, entirely different social classes. A rich boy and a poor girl. By completely random circumstances, they meet in town, and are intrigued by one another. As they spend time together, they notice how different, yet sad the others life is. They question each other’s motives, and think the other’s life is strange and twisted. Especially the rich’s corruption, and the poor’s crimes. Can the two manage to find love, even though they are so very different?
Profiles: Username: Yuuki-Chan17 Name: Adora Campo Age: 16 Personality: What do you expect from someone like her? In front of people she doesn’t know, she’s gonna be tough and cold. Especially since she lost her left leg in an accident, and uses a prosthetic (Which cost almost all of her and her mother‘s money). Once people actually start talking to her, and they’re not trying to trick her, she’ll open up a bit, to reveal how she’s really just lonely, scared, and sick of that life almost to the point of depression. Bio: Adora obviously had a bad life. Her family never had a lot of money. She grew up fast, and learned how tough life is. She almost immediately took up stealing money and food, thinking she was simply good at it. One day when she was ten, she was running from an angry gang she somehow managed to piss off. She ran through private property, and managed to get her leg stuck in a bear trap. It mangled it beyond use. She had been living with her mother, and they spent tons of money to amputate the old one, and get a secondhand prosthetic. That was the worst that happened. Ever since then, she’s been more careful, and they started to get enough money to live without theft. Appearance:

Username: kuro kittie Name: Dante Ryker Cardei Age: 18 Personality: He is the epitome of arrogant. He thinks he is the hottest thing since sliced bread and he isn't afraid to show it. Every girl wants him and every guy wants to be him. He has never wanted for anything, which makes him a little spoiled, but not all that many people see that part of him since they never stick around long enough. He is flirtatious to almost everyone, which gives him the vibe of being a player, but he's not. He just wants to get close to people. He just wants a friend that will like him for him, but that will never happen so he just keeps up his arrogant front. He likes to joke around a lot. He also is known to hold grudges to those that annoy him. Some people even think him to be stuck up since he's a rich boy. In fact, he's just lonely. Though he can get any girl he wants, he never really gets attached to them mainly because he knows all they want from him is his looks and his "status." This leads to him being very lonely. Bio: Dante has never wanted for anything. All his life, all he had to do was say he wanted it and it was given to him on a silver platter. He had the best girlfriends that were always the most attractive. He had friends out the wazoo. He was the most liked guy in school. He lived in the rich part of the town all his life and always went to a private school that his parents paid out the a** for. Currently, he is in his last year of high school. He has no girlfriend, thinking that they were just... in it for his money and good looks. He gave up on that, but he still flirts. He still hangs out with his friends though. He has taken to sticking by himself, other than a select few friends. He doesn't talk to his parents that much anymore, having been moved out since his eighteenth birthday. He still does let his parents pay for his schooling though. Hey, why not? They made him come here, it's only fair that they pay for it.~ Appearance: Dante

Adora Campo
It felt wrong to be here. Adora felt very nervous to be in this part of town, even if it was just jogging. She loved to run, and had thought about joining her school’s track team, despite despising her school. Though ever since she got her leg crushed in a bear trap, that had been an unachievable dream. Her left leg had become mangled beyond use. Her family was poor, and they were told it would be cheaper to amputate her leg, and got her a prosthetic leg. It was an old, second-hand model, but it was the best they could get. At least they had the money for one so she could still walk.
As Adora jogged through the streets, she slowed in the park, and sat on one of the benches. She ignored the stares of the people around. She knew she looked out of place, but she didn’t care. She was still surprised at how it felt. The leg felt like her own, but it was the only part of her that wasn’t sore. It made her feel like she could keep going, although the rest of her body protested against it. She was breathing heavily, glad to run again. Finally her doctors gave the ‘okay’ to go jogging again. She decided she could run for fun, just not in competitions.

╔════════════════════╗ Tell me what's wrong with society When everywhere I look, I see Young girls dying to be on TV They won't stop till they've reached their dreams ╚════════════════════╝
Dante walked through the streets, hands in his pockets as he gained looks and stares from the women lining the sidewalks. He winked at a few and gave smirks to others. Some giggled with their friends, others came up and gave him their numbers. He didn't rightly care for anything like that, but his friend, Andrew, was seriously envying him right about now. Andrew had been with him for forever and they went everywhere together. But this one day was just.. interesting. He knew something interesting was going to happen today as soon as he woke up. Now, it was waiting for that interesting thing to happen. So boring.
His friend shoved him into a woman and he laughed softly, apologizing and giving that undeniably handsome smile. The irate woman just blushed and giggled nervously, saying it was all right before the two boys continued on their way. They made it to the fountain at the center of the place and made their way over to one of the benches, seeing a girl sitting there with a fake leg. Dante cast a glance over to her and wondered what happened for a moment. She looked like she didn't belong here. His friend, Andrew, decided to be a jerk just then and make a comment as they passed by. "Nice leg, sweety," Andrew commented, knocking shoulders with his friend and earning an unsure grin from Dante. He knew it was wrong to joke on someone with a prosthetic. He cast a small smile over at Adora, winking at her playfully before the two took a seat on the bench a way away from her.

Adora Campo
What a jerk. That was all Adora could think at the time of that boy. A complete and utter a$$hole for that comment. Was it her fault she got into an accident and lost her leg? Acting upon instinct she just said "Nice personality, as$hole." Perhaps it wasn't the smartest thing to say whele she was the one out of place, but that guy deserved it. At least his friend seemed to be halfway decent for now.
She just looked away, rolling her eyes. That stupid smile and wink. What was she supposed to do? Swoon and fall madly in love? As if. Love was a joke. Her father had left them. That was proof it didn't exsist. Yes, she was very bitter about it. She suspected her father was seeing another woman, but she had no proof.
She went back to staring at the ground, not wanting to get up. She was here first, and wasn't gonna move because of a few jerks. Though if they started messing with her, she'd leave for sure...after punching them both. She wasn't to be messed with or taken lightly. She had no formal style of fighting, and it wasn't any of those hair pulling, scratching fights. Adora knew how to defend herself, and would. She learned from watching streetfights.

Dante knew that the woman's leg was a sensitive subject because let's face it... every amputee was sensitive about their stump, no matter the reason because it wasn't part of the norm. From his experience with amputees and ugly people, they strove to be accepted. But that was the thing. The woman wasn't ugly. She was actually pretty cute. But her attitude was certainly different than most girls. She looked poor like she didn't belong on this side, which was a clear sign to Dante that she wasn't from this area. Even her clothes were different than theirs. She looked like she hadn't thought much about her outfit or her appearance, as if she just didn't care. He wondered why that was. Maybe it was because she was... different. Maybe it was because she was one of the less fortunate people.
When she bit back at Andrew, he snickered before watching his friend go over to the woman and taking a seat next to her. "You got a bit of a mouth on you, don't'cha?" Dante knew it was a bad idea to provoke the woman, hence why he stayed where he was and let his friend act a fool. Besides.. Dante didn't make it a habit of flirting with those that weren't his type. And she was far from his type. He watched his friend slide his arm around her shoulders leisurely in a flirtatious manner and rolled his eyes as he stood and walked over to the two. "That's enough, Andrew. Leave her alone. She hasn't done anything to you besides state the obvious~" he chuckled as he dragged his friend up and pushed him aside. "Besides... you're not the attractive one here," he teased as he tossed his hair over his shoulder overdramatically. He was totally joking, but to anyone that didn't know him, it looked as if he were serious.

Dante saw that the woman was a pretty tough cookie. He liked that. It made for an interesting challenge, even if she was a poor one. He gave her a small smirk when she told them to leave her alone. Unfortunately, he heard Andrew laugh and mock her again, even going as far as to raspberry his tongue at her. Dante rolled his eyes at his friend's behavior before shrugging. "You're a tough one, aren't you?" he asked with a small smirk her way. And then Andrew elbowed his friend. "Maybe it's a complex for her leg," Dante frowned at the comment from Andrew. "That's enough, Andrew. Stop jokin' around," Dante tried to say before his friend shoved him away and crossed his arms over his chest. "Why? She doesn't belong on our side of town. Can't you see she's one of those poor white trash girls? The type that finds hanging out in alleyways fun. The type that lives in cardboard boxes with windows while we're living in condos and mansions. What are you doing over here anyway?" asked his friend before Dante frowned at the man.
Dante turned his sight over at the woman then. "That's a good question. How did you manage to come all this way anyway? Aren't you a long way away from home?" It was a serious question, but it came out condescending because he wasn't used to talking to poor people. "Why don't you go ahead and gimp on home, stumpy?" Andrew teased as he elbowed Dante's ribs to signify he should laugh. The other boy, however, didn't laugh. He didn't really make it a habit of joking on others that had no leg or was missing other body parts.

╔════════════════════╗ Tell me what's wrong with society When everywhere I look, I see Young girls dying to be on TV They won't stop till they've reached their dreams ╚════════════════════╝
It made her a target because she was on their side of town. When it came to rich and poor, the poor had their slums and the rich had their Hollywood star appeal. That was enough to separate the two classes of status. Dante never really saw any poor kids hanging out on his side of town, so it was definitely a rare occurrence, for sure. His friend, Andrew however.. He was just an a**. Dante knew it, but he didn't really pay any attention to the man. He got his jollies that way, he supposed. Dante, on the other hand, he may flirt, but he wasn't a complete and total a**. Especially when no one had done anything to him. This girl was just sitting on a bench and Andrew had chosen to pick on her. Maybe he liked her, for all he knew. After all, how did that saying go? Boys picked on the girls they liked? Or something to that nature.
Hell, Andrew would like every single girl he came into contact with then if that were the case! Dante listened to the woman answer their questions and heard Andrew laugh at the thanks. "Anytime, sweet cheeks!" he called after her before looking to his friend to see Dante face-palming himself. "Must you really use that street rat name for calling someone something? I'd swear you were raised in a ghetto or something..." Andrew laughed before looking over to the fountain when the girl was a little ways away. "Wanna see something funny, Dante? I'm about to rock your world!" he said as he ran to catch up with the girl. He slid his arms around the woman's shoulders once more and gave her a small grin. "Look... I'm sorry for ruining your fun, sweetheart. Lemme make it up to you," he said as he gave her a swift and rough push into the fountain, making a big splash and earning everyone's attention around the vicinity.
Dante's eyes widened as he ran over to the two and pushed Andrew back a little, giving him a small glare. "What the hell is wrong with you, Andrew!?" he yelled at him as he reached down to help the now soaking wet girl up. He glanced over at his friend and gave him a small glare before turning back to the wet girl that was close to him. He fetched her hat from the fountain and put it on her head, inadvertently sloshing more water onto her head. He chuckled for a moment before twirling some of her hair around his finger in that typical rich boy arrogance. "Ya know.. you look even better sopping wet~" he teased in that au naturale condescending flirtatious voice.
It was then that Andrew burst into a fit of laughter, earning a grin from Dante, his eyes not leaving the wet poor girl in front of him. "You can't be serious, Dante!" "Oh, but I am! Who wouldn't find a drowned rat attractive?" he said as he chuckled. It was all out of fun, but he still found her at least a little attractive. He didn't really realize how badly that could hurt someone's feelings, having been a rough kind of joker.

Adora Campo
Adora was planning to just ignore them. They were just two typical rich boys. Arrogant jerks who picked on her as an easy target. She was on their side of town, after all. She saw it as getting lucky. Here she was picked on. If a rich guy went to the poor side of town, he was likely to get robbed and beaten by any number or gangs, and some of the rougher ones would kill them. Adora hasn't been around any of the gangs that killed. She was in one, but a more gentle one, whose goal was to stay out of trouble. They looked out for each other, but they were prepared to defend themselves.
Adora had been walking away, managing not to limp despite the bruise, but then that awful boy, Andrew came up, apologizing, which she didn't believe, and was trying to ignore. Suddenly his arm was around her shoulders, and she was about to snap at him, but then he did the worst and most humiliating thing; he pushed her into the fountain.
She was shocked, and soaked. She wanted to murder that boy. She wanted to bring a murderous gang into this town, and kill that pathetic monsterous excuse for a human being. The other boy, who was kinder, helped her out of the fountain, and she just scowled, especially when he put her hat on her head, making more water fall upon her. Though her cheeks were a bit red with humilation.
When Dante called her a drowned rat, she felt a stab in her heart, and wanted to break down and cry, letting out all her frustration, but she didn't. Instead she had an idea. She whipped around, punching Dante as hard as she could in the stomach, and kicked Andrew even harder where it hurt.
With a glare, she left, walking, a bit fast, back towards her side of town.

Dante was just trying to kid around with the girl, but feared he'd gone a little too far when the woman punched him in the stomach without a second thought. He coughed for a moment, the wind being sent out of his lungs with such force it left him breathless. Ah, but he was the lucky one. Andrew would be lucky if he could have children with that sort of kick. He did manage to laugh as Andrew fell to the ground, whining and whimpering and coughing and hurling at the utter pain of it all to be kicked between the legs. Dante laughed breathlessly, bent over the bench as tears fell from his eyes from laughing so hard. He lifted his head and smiled at the woman's back, finding this girl rather... unique and definitely worth his time. He really hoped he saw her again soon.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The following day, Dante was informed of a party that the city was throwing to help bring together the rich and poor sides of town. It was the city's last ditch effort to end the hostilities the two sides harbored towards each other. After all, it was pretty much like a gang war going on between the rich and poor right now. If a rich boy/girl went over into the poor side of town, they were mugged, beaten, raped, or even killed. However, if a poor boy/girl went over to the rich side, they were only teased and sometimes beat up, depending on their attitude. It was rather unfair circumstances, if you asked Dante. Or at least, that was what he was told happened to the rich kids that went over to the other side. He wasn't really sure because he hadn't gone over there himself. He'd seen plenty of poor kids come over here, but he'd never ventured into the other side of town for fear of losing everything he had.
In any case, Dante started to get ready, putting on a simple white button down shirt and black pants to attend the event in his usual casual style of dress. He didn't bother to dress up. It wasn't his bag. He hated parties. Most rich kids loved parties. Dante despised them. The only reason he even was going to this one was because his parents didn't want to be embarrassed that their only son didn't go to one of the most... charitable parties the city was throwing. He rolled his eyes in silence as he exited his house, grabbing a jacket if it got too cold, and headed down the street to the meeting place. It was on common ground, right between the poor side and the rich side so things would be even. Though he was sure that the poor would be hanging with the poor and the rich with the rich. They just didn't mingle well, he realized. But! Thankfully, Andrew wouldn't be there. So that was a good sign. Though he did wonder if that girl from yesterday would be there so he could apologize for Andrew's actions and for his misunderstood words.

Adora Campo
This...is just plain awful. Adora thought as she leaned against a wall, watching the pary with cold eyes. She really didn't want to be here, but went because her mother demanded she go meet nice people. She dressed as normal. She had a grey T-Shirt, black jeans, and her normal jacket and hat. The ones she had worn yesterday. Thankfully they were dried. She had wrung them out in the tub last night, and hung them over the heating vent so they'd dry. She was still furious at those boys. Her posture said she clearly didn't want to associate, though she had a few short conversation with people she knew. Poor, of course. She didn't know any rich boys well enough to talk to them. Or any that were worth it to talk to them, i.e. the boys from yesterday.
Adora was glad the food was free. Her mother had been going around, eating her fill, and stocking up the fridge, cubords, whatever. Adora was glad for that. Looks like they'd have food for a while. Some nights, not many, they had to go without food.
She watched the party going on around her. It was pathetic. This party tried to 'unite' the rich and poor, but it did nothing. The two classes rarely interacted unless forced, and the conversations were short. The two classes didn't have much in common. The rich could go on about their fourth car, or how he didn't get the horse he wanted for his birthday, while the poor can go on about how someone owes him/her money, and how they got fired again, and had to look for a new way to make money. THey were just too different.

Adora Campo
Adora was slightly disgusted at the few do-gooders who made an effort. She knew a few were on the city council, and were clearly trying to get others to mingle. It really didn't work. Some really did manage to get along, but Adora guessed by the next day, they'd forget about each other. It was like a high school event to bring students together. It works for two days, then nothing.
Adora wished she could meet someone nice guy. She was a teenage girl, after all. She wanted someone to love. She didn't ask for much. Just a nice guy who won't care how much money she has, or her looks. Adora didn't care about appearance. Some of the guys in gangs weren't exactly pretty or handsome, but they were the nicest guys she's ever known. They just weren't her type. Adora knew why she didn't find a guy who's interested in her yet. She's more of the 'best friend' type of girl. The type of girl guys wanted just as a friend. She had only friend-zoned three guys.
She heard a few insults from both sides here and there. The rich were usually called stuck-up and greedy, while the poor were usually called dirty street rats. Of course there were nicer and worse, but those were just the ones she heard the most.
Eventually things plummeted downhill as she saw Dante. The guy from yesterday. At least it wasn't the one who pushed her in the fountain...but he did talk down to her and flirt. She just glared. "I don't care. It's over, and I want nothing to do with you, or anyone like you." she said. However she didn't walk away like most would. She was here first, and didn't want to be a wimp. Although walking away is what the bigger person would do, Adora didn't care. She liked being petty when she was angry.
