Jua blinked several times as he slipped out of his den, his mate was asleep as usual. It was probably midday; he was getting better at waking up closer to the evening so that he could spend more time with Mwezi. He smiled as he thought of her, glancing back into the den. His moon and stars, the light of his life. He would bring her back something pretty today, he decided. Something that would match her beauty! Yes, that would be a nice surprise for Mwezi.
But what sort of thing would it be? Some flowers were a good idea... but it'd been so hot and dry in the savannah over the last few moons... perhaps there were no flowers to find. He could always bring her back some sort of bones stained with berries or... well if there weren't any flowers around what would be the chances of him finding berries?
"I will know it when I see it." He reassured himself, nodding as he went along.

Cordero was rather chipper today. He had left his mother and siblings to adventure the lands, unaware that he wouldn't be returning to his mother side anytime in the forseeable future. But he was excited and ready to see what the world had to offer. Sure, he had left his mom and siblings many times before but he was only gone for a short time and always made sure to stay within a short distance of them. This time was different. They were FAR, far, far away and he was alone and he was planning on this trip around the lands to take some time. Maybe not forever, but he didn't know what the future had in store for him. "I wonder why it only rains sometimes." He said, looking up at the sky and seeing the sun getting closer and closer to the horizon. There was still a great deal of time between now and night but he still couldn't stop himself from getting excited over the sunset that would once again be different from any other days sunset. "Maybe the sun changes each time it reaches that point." Cordero mused, his tail swirling around behind him, like him it was unable to stay in one place. "Or what if there was a lion over there who makes the sky turn a different color right before nighttime? Why is it nighttime? What if night was day and day was night?" Once again, Cordero just couldn't shut up. He found himself moving from one idea or question to another, an endless cycle.
