Was Ariane worried for Ryan and Kat? Yes - mostly because the former had the balls to directly attack Caelius during the mission; if he was pissed off and ready to execute the trainees who had disobeyed his orders, then he must be ready to dish out an even harsher punishment towards the person who had not only disobeyed him, but attacked him as well. It would be nice if the Death division leader was really dead, killed by "Red" who was somehow alive, but she knew that it was too good to be true...
There was nothing left for her to do in the room, but to hope for the best.
After all, she has her own problem to worry about - how to avoid certain death, not only for herself, but for Jeremy as well. It sounded easy enough; be good for a whole day, then have both herself and Jeremy refill their mission reports. Be politically correct. Be good, obedient hunters. She had no power here, and it sucked to be at the bottom of the ladder; it sucked but there was nothing she could do about it.
"Thanks," She muttered, turning to look at her childhood friend once they were alone; she felt that it had to be said, although there was no way she was going to say it twice, so too bad for Jeremy if he had missed it.

Jeremy knew what he had just done, but he felt oddly at peace with it. That wasn't normal, was it? Somehow he felt he should be more upset or nervous about this than he really was, yet he didn't feel anything but okay about it. Putting his life - and weapon - on the line for a childhood friend just seemed right to him, like it was somewhere in his programming. When they were dismissed, the sun trainee was quick to leave; he didn't want to see what would happen to the two that were singled out last. That made him nervous, but it wasn't enough to mutter a good luck to them just before he left. He trotted after Ariane then, hands stuffed in his pockets and his gaze mostly on the ceiling in thought.
Luckily for him, he caught her muttered gratitude.
"Oh, you're welcome~" He said happily enough, taking a few quick steps to be more at her side, and even then just enough to give her a playful nudge. "But like I said, don't ******** it up, yeah?" Then he started laughing, as if nothing was the matter and nothing was on the line. "But really, how hard is it to re-write a report? ...and what did you do, anyway?" Jeremy himself had been a little...indisposed.

Ariane returned the nudge, cracking a grin as she waved a hand in the air in a dismissive manner.
"Yeah, yeah, I know. No need to nag," She replied, punching Jeremy on his arm; looking out for him aside, it was her head on the chopping board as well, since she was pretty sure that a negative review would look bad for both of them, "Not hard at all, but how many reports had you written since becoming a hunter, annnnnd should I be worried?" She wasn't worried at all though... She was just going to make sure that he submits a report by the end of 24 hours.
"Bix and Ceres were infected - or affected, I'm not sure - by the insanity during the mission, and turned into monsters... Their weapons were in control. Caelius ordered everyone to finish off Bix and Ceres," She explained with a shrug; the rational part of her knew that Caelius didn't give that order just to be a d**k about it, but that it was the Best Thing to do in that situation. However, it didn't make it any easier for her, "I chose to ignore his order. Ended up defending Ceres till she died naturally... Both of them came back to life though. Apparently their death was temporary or something... Not sure how or why, but they did."
She was glad that did.

...How many reports?
"Ummm." Jeremy uttered thoughtfully, looking at the ceiling and making a great effort in scratching the back of his neck. "...M-maybe you should tell me what to write?" He suggested with a laugh, a rather carefree laugh at that, as if it really didn't matter. That didn't really matter in the long run though, whatever happened happened; besides, he had something else to focus on, mainly what Ariane had done to get herself - and now him - in a lot of s**t.
"Well, that'd do it." He mused, his head tilting almost far enough to touch his ear to his shoulder. "No wonder you're on the choppin block! Well, I guess it's a good thing I like you enough to want to save your pretty neck~" Once more he was laughing, but he clapped her on the shoulder again, beaming at her in a fox eyed smile. "BUT I'm proud of you, you did good kid, you did good."
Then, suddenly, both of his arms were in the air, fingers spread wide.
"LET'S TAKE YOU OFF DEATH ROW!" He yelled into the corridor, still grinning like a maniac.

"Yup, I'm worried," Ariane replied as she brought one hand up to her face. Peeking out from between two fingers, and leaned towards him, her voice dropping to a whisper, "And you should be worried too, because I wasn't a fan of mission reports, and only filled them in after huge missions led by the leaders... So I'm not sure what you're supposed to write for Caelius to take us off death row."
She rolled her eyes, sighing loudly as she let her arms go limp, "If I'm a kid, you're a baby. Besides, I'm beginning to wonder if I even did the right thing."
Shrugging, she stayed silent for a few seconds, "They could have been dangerous. They lost to the insanity. Maybe they should be killed... I mean, if I died and came back a zombie, you'll still shoot me right in the head, right?"

Jeremy was only laughing, because really, what else could you do in a situation like this?! Laughter was all he could come up with, and so it was laughter that won out. "Why not pretend we're in highschool and pad our essay question with bullshit?" He suggested, grinning from ear-to-ear. "Just tell them what they want to hear, even if you don't believe it! But at least try to make it believable, right? Because if you're suddenly all EW BUTTS ARE GROSS they're going to know something's up and then its our faces for sure." Or heads. Whatever.
"Mmm...well, I don't know what I'd do. I mean, I'd think of putting you down with a headshot, but...if there's a chance of bringing you back, I know I'd at least hesitate a little bit." His lips pressed into a thin line and he scratched the taunt skin under his nose, his free hand stuffing itself into his pocket. "You're kind of all I've got left here, I don't think I could kill you easily, even if the shot would be. But it's one of those in the moment things, yanno? I could say this, but for all I know if it happened I'd be there with a gun up your nose. Gotta do what feels right in the moment!" His arms were back in the air again, someone really needed to tie this boy down.

"You mean this place isn't some kind of high school?" Ariane gasped in an exaggerated manner before grinning in return, "Yeah, write about how I'm a good girl, and that I'll be obedient in the future because I learnt my lesson from this experience that-" Caelius is a cockroach and a jerk, "-I should listen to my superior's orders. Something like that... And I'll write about how sorry I am in my report."
There, done deal.
"Wow, that is very insightful," She raised one eyebrow, feeling Jeremy's forehead, "Do you have a fever? Are you delusional right now? Did they give you a brain while you were in the pod?"

Yup, still laughing.
"I like it! A+!" He announced happily, feeling it was important to do so. "Mine'll say 'I promise to stop Ariane from ever doing whatever it was she did again, and I will learn from whatever mistakes she made and not do [things]! Love, Jeremy'."" The blonde teen cackled in amusement, snorting happily without realizing it.
"...If I told you, I'd have to kill you." Pokerfaced. :'|

"I think we'll both graduate top of the class at hunter academy," Ariane replied with a grin, "That or fail completely, and end our semester here with certain death."
She put on a poker face right back.
"Tell me, are the lab techs secretly aliens?" She asked, poking Jeremy on his arm, "That's what runic tech is, right? Alien tech. And obviously, H is king of the aliens, which explains why he's insanely creepy and impossible to kill."

"But the important thing is, we're doing it as a Family." Jeremy informed her matter-of-factly, winking and holding up an index finger as if he really believed that was the way it was going to be; that it was the only way it was going to be. The blonde teen then resumed his pokerface and looked down at the poke she had given him, resisting the urge to frown.
"Breech discovered in the program, performing emergency shut down. All sectors...shutting...down..." What started as a clear and stoic voice turned into a dying rasp, his footsteps becoming more and more uneven until he was on his knees, and soon flat on his stomach on the ground.

"Did sleeping too long make you sentimental too?" Ariane laughed, rolling her eyes when he started his act. She watched, clearly entertained but not very amused, as Jeremy proceeded to flop on the floor, her arms folded across her chest. She waited a few seconds for him to get up, and when he didn't, she started prodding him with her foot. A few seconds ticked by before she shrugged, and then sat herself down on his back, not making any efforts to be gentle. After making herself comfortable, she patted him on his butt to get his attention.
"So," She begun with a thoughtful hum, "Since Bix's death, I've been thinking... If I die before you, you get all my stuff. If anyone's going to raid my room, I would rather it be you. Oh, and because we're technically family, I think I would like to be buried beside Dean... And put 'here lies someone with awesome balls' on the grave marker."

Jeremy stayed on the ground, planked despite the weight on his back. As a sort of stubborn defiance he stayed put and didn't move, not even as she pat his butt. It wasn't until she started talking about death and who gets what did he actually move a muscle, several muscles in fact. He let out a very frustrated, but almost whimpering groan as he lifted both arms to wrap around and cover his head.
More importantly, this move covered his ears and somewhat drowned out the sound of her voice, making the subject matter only slightly less painful to him. Despite his newfound personality - which wasn't completely different than he was before, he was sure - he still didn't want to hear this. Never.
"Can we talk about something else?" He insisted, clearly pouting into the floor.

Jeremy was regarded with a long, thoughtful look before Ariane nodded, "Fiiiiiiine."
Getting up, she then stretched her arms before giving her friend a shove, attempting to roll him down the corridor along his side - very much like a Katamari. In fact, she might be hoping for little odds and ends to get stuck to his hair... Maybe, as more things get stuck to his hair, it would eventually grow, and become like Hazel's magical portal-to-an-alternate-storage-space hair.
He would then be able to use his hair as a storage place for his headphones.
