He should have been in bed, he knew it, but he just wasn't tired yet. Alexandre supposed having that second espresso was the cause for it, and that drinking it wasn't all that smart, but at the time he'd had it he'd not been in need of going home to sleep. Now though he should be in bed and yet he was wide awake and still out moving across roof tops like it was nothing, and really by now it wasn't much of anything, the point was though that he should be at home in bed.
Landing on another rooftop, cape and coat fluttering about him, he stood up straight and glanced about. Cars still moved along on the ground below, though not many. It was late and he was in a residential area right now. He'd been skulking about the park and nice little residential streets tonight. His usual supply of energy had been depleted and needed refilling, with his hours he had been taking energy orbs in order to keep awake and patrol. It was energy orbs and espresso which kept him going through the day, and night.
Fingers combed through his hair before slipping from his hair, letting ashen blond hair fall back abut his face. He'd been lucky tonight; no encounters with senshi but he needed to work off this energy so he could get to sleep.

Linarite was not a good rapper. She was actually probably about as good a rapper as she was an agent of the Negaverse at this point in time, seeing as how these nightly patrols had doubled in length as of late. It absolutely had everything to do with the fact that Linarite had been cutting her patrols short to go home and squeeze in a good round of ME3 multiplayer with Kess before they fell into bed. Well now Kess was not only Howlite she was General King Howlite. Probably more accurately Queen but that just seemed so...not Kess. Either way the newly-promoted head of Spec Ops wasn't letting her roommate sneak out of patrol duty so she'd had to liven it up.
'Dontcha hear that boom badoom boom boom girl got dat supa bass~~~' It wasn't good at all. She was dancing along the edges of rooftops, bouncing down to the street and back up again, shimmying and shaking her way through patrol. God Bless iDevices! With her earbuds in patrols had become a lot more lively and running away became a bit more like a game than anything else.
Of course that didn't mean she wasn't going to sometimes trip right over someone by being careless, like she did just now, bumping rudely into the ashen-haired officer as they hit the same rooftop roughly around the same time. (That was her story and she was stickin' to it.) "Whoooops. Sorry!"

He'd felt someone, someone only slightly weaker, than himself in the area. He hadn't expected to have a run in with them - especially not in such literal terms! But as he stood on the roof top he was bumped, not too gently either, into by the Captain he'd been feeling. It wasn't hard to tell that the Captain was female, it would be impossible really.
Turning to fully face her he took in the blue hair, the eyes and than the uniform. Last to be taken in was the musical device she had, and that it was plugged in. Would it be too loud to hear him? Only one way to find out. "It's alright, though you should pay attention a little more Captain...." He trailed off hoping she'd fill in the blank by giving him her name, he didn't like just thinking of people as her and him and Captain, Lieutenant, and other such things. He liked to have names to go with faces, and more importantly to go with powers/weapons.
"Are you in some sort of a hurry?" Or was she just distracted or lost in the music, as it seemed to be the case. He'd never actually thought about taking a music device with him on patrol, though he did often enough sit and relax with a cup of espresso in his hand. So you could argue that his drink was her music, or something similar anyway.

"Nealite." She said by way of introduction. It was Lina's little test really, to see if this was one of the old sort of Negaverse officer that remembered the heyday before Beryl had come in and crushed them all into slivers beneath her monstrous heels. Anyone who flashed recognition at the name was considered a bit more interesting than someone who didn't. Flashing a wide grin she shook her head, pulling out the earbuds to let them hang around her neck, extending a hand in friendly manner. "No, I'm pulling your leg. I'm Lina. Sorry about the bump, my sense is all whack." Which was really all she was going to say about it. Nobody needed to know the particulars and those that did already knew them.
Probably even better than she did.
"As for the hurry, no, not really. My oh-so-clever boss has decreed that I must stay out for a certain amount of time, not a certain patrol route because she realizes that I would pretty much run through as fast as I can before going home to curl up in bed. Though this neighborhood..." Her head turned around to figure out where she was, a shrug lifting her shoulders slightly. "Kinda a good bet for running into senshi dontcha think? Looks kinda...wholesome." Lina threw a mock shudder. "But hey, you're here. I'm safe."

He didn't know that name, had been ready to accept it as truth, and then she told him she was joking. At least he hadn't gotten enough time to speak and make a fool of himself, he would not have been pleased nor amused by that. He didn't like looking like a fool, at least not when he could help it in some manner. Taking the offered hand he shook it gently. "Benitoite. It's a pleasure." As it always was when he met a person he'd never met before, at least when they were on his side anyway.
"It's alright. Though I've never had someone bump into me, but you were distracted and...as you said your sense is whacked." Although he didn't know how she meant that, was she under the weather or what? He didn't think it proper, especially only just meeting her, to inquire either so he didn't ask.
"I hadn't thought of that. I was told, a long time ago, to refrain from any set schedule. So I decided tonight to try a new area." His own shoulders lifted in a lazy sort of shrug before tilting his head and glancing over one shoulder. "I haven't sensed any senshi yet and although I've had my fill of run in's with them lately I have too much energy right now, which I somehow need to burn off." So a run in with a senshi wouldn't be such a bad thing right now, although he wouldn't trade that for this. "I'd say the best bet for running into senshi is the local park though. I know of one in particular that used to hang around there and appears to be back. But I'd rather avoid her, for now." He'd handle Maia...just not this evening, not so soon after their last run in.
"Indeed, I would say we are both safe - I do not sense any of order around."

Linarite's nose wrinkled up hard at the mention of the park; she may have been out of the loop but she wasn't living on the Moon. "I'm surprised anyone not powered even goes to the park anymore. I keep telling Howlite that we really should just kill anyone that we see going near there because any officer too stupid to be in uniform when they go towards the park at night deserves what they get." It was a cold, rather callous way of looking at things but that was the nature of Destiny City these days. Everyone knew that the park was Bad News. If you were roaming the park out of uniform, without one of the General Kings or Queens knowing about it, you were dumb and should be culled to protect the rest of the group. It didn't matter that she was just a pathetic Captain that was next to useless; her mind was in the right place and in some things, even Lena was heartless.
"Your trainer was good though, to tell you to shake things up a bit. I admit there's almost no senshi that come down here unless they really are young and stupid which means easy pickins...also why I patrol here. Uneventful. I can say I did it, I don't come home bruised or ready to curl up and die, and I figure that's always a good thing." Linarite was also a philosopher of great renown, and by great renown she meant that she was willing to dish out her brand of Negaverse philosophy to anyone who would listen. It wasn't like they all didn't think she was crazy or a traitor anyway. Nothing to lose!
Looking him up and down she smiled. "So, what's your branch and weapon? You don't seem entirely SpecOpsy to me. Intel maybe? Though that and the Filters are all basically the same." Thinking of what she'd done to Zink's little records room her smile sharpened a bit. "We can play hot and cold if you want."
Yep. Crazy.

"Some people do still go to the park. Though the smaller ones seem to be filling up with more civilians, those who used to go to the big city park. It would seem most civilians have gotten smart." Though not all of them were. Some still liked to gamble, and become a nice little source of energy, it really wasn't his fault when the odds weren't in their favor. But killing people who went near the park did she mean civilians? Or just any officer not in uniform? And how to know if that was an officer and not a civilian? It was the one thing, aside from killing chibi senshi, which he couldn't do. He couldn't kill a civilian, though he had aided in killing one but that was long ago, they were the ones they were to be protecting - right?
"You mean just officers...correct?" he asked, wanting to know for sure. The idea of killing civilians didn't sit well with him, not in the least little bit.
"I was trained, in part, by Fluorite and Painite. A lot I did learn on my own. But that lesson was Fluorite's." He stated as he gave something of a sad smile. he hadn't seen or heard of her in along time. He had to worry about her but most of the time he didn't think about her, or her brother, and the vanishing act it seemed they had pulled. But thinking now about them he could only hope they weren't causalities of this war. He hoped he would again see them both and speak with them over chinese food, this time it would even be on him.
"No, I'm not the sort of special ops. I'm in Intel as for my weapon..." Trailing off he summoned it into his hands. The long tassel a reminder of what his weapon had once been. The blade wasn't huge and all that intimidating in appearance but it was still a blade and it was put to use - often. "I've gone home many a night to curl up and work out the soreness from a good fight. While I don't enjoy going to sleep like that I do enjoy a good win over a senshi, or knight." He said with a smile in place. He did enjoy a good fight but going to bed sore and having to work and go through school sore and stiff was no fun, injured was even worse.
"Hot..and cold?" Ok, so he was confused. What was going to happen now?
