 PetitionWhat does everyone think about it? I am in a pd guild, however I will probably be quitting soon since there is noting but constant bickering and I don't get a long with the captain that well. I must say this person raises good points in her petition. I'm curious, what does everyone else think?

It's interesting I suppose, but it wont get anything done. I've had my fair share of petitions, and unless they make it to the media, nothing gets done. I've signed petitions at my school (back in high school, authorized by a vice principle, and allowed by the school board) and nearly 150 students were suspended by the tyrant that was my principle. Needless to say, int he end we got him fired for good reason but thats a different story.
Now-a-days, I personally don't see the use in petitions... get 500 people to sign, and what happens? Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not trying to troll I promise.
Sorry for being so negative on your topic O.O I'm usually optimistic, I dont know whats wrong with me at the moment.

I see it coming, but I can't defend...I think she makes a good point, too... Though, I've never run into anyone like that, luckily. I probably would find it annoying if I did...
On a side note: I could've sworn I was looking in a different guild when I saw your username..... ((Weird Inc.)) ...You cut so deep. My belief is gone.

I used to be VC of the Gaian Wedding Chapel, Inc. and there was one time where all the post information from all the information threads was deleted by some crew member. The captain, who was seriously crazy, brought in somebody from one of these "police departments", makes them a Vice Captain, and tells everybody that they are going to find out who did the "crime".
This was a dumb move. The most this "police officer" could have done was check the crew logs and crew logs don't tell you when people edit posts. He wasn't any sort of admin or forum assistant, he was just some dude in a uniform.
I agree with that petition. Unless the "police departments" are roleplay guilds, they're unnecessary.
It would be interesting to see if there was profiling done against users based on how they typed or what their avi was dressed up as.

Lurked in one of those guilds once. Interesting to see that they laid out areas to patrol (towns, hollywood areas, rally, etc.), signing ins and signing offs, amounts of reports done (including date and time) and probably a few other details.
What I really wanted to find out is how they got paid. Where did the funding for their salary came from? Stuffs like that. But either I didn't snoop too well or was too lazy to dig in deeper xP
All in all, people probably join in guilds like that to get easy gold. I mean, all you do is patrol and report then get your share of bling-blings xP But yeah. I really don't prefer regular gaians doing such stuff :/

Oh hai thurr! =] Yea I agree some officers can be quite obnoxious. I only joined that PD for the gold cause I had an expensive quest. Anyway I would never really talk to people I would just hide and report major things like bots or people that were cybering.

She should have reported those officers for harassment. thats also a pretty good reason to sign, maybe you should post that story in the petition. Bring some of these actions of officers to light.
