The text had been very clear: or perhaps to veteran hunters almost surreal. It felt like forever when they had been trainees themselves, when they had first started, when coming into a classroom to get debriefed was normal. Where imminent death had seemed like something of a passing joke and perhaps to many, still was. Maybe one day they would wake up and realize all of this - these classrooms, this setup, the white and gold coats, the weapons, the Fear, the loss, choices, decisions, conflict, everything would be gone. And that it would be someone else's turn to have to deal with those problems.

The round table in Room 201B as mentioned in the text to all Hunters - mostly trainees - who had been on the fated Red mission, and even to those who had not, was there, as always. The walls were that strange off-white, there was a piece of paper and a No.2 pencil on each vacant seat placed almost obsessively neat -

- And at the very far end was of course the Death Lead. There was some ongoing rumour going around about his ghost haunting the very halls or something, which if that rumour was true, made the situation just a little more terrifying. Just a little. As most arrived in the room, it was safe to note that the paper in front of every seat read very clearly Mission Report at the top, and probably that Caelius wasn't a ghost. Maybe. A small stack of more crumbled papers, considerably minute in size was next to a stack of folders.

"I would like to take this time to explain very clearly your status here in Deus Ex." Ah yes, it was That Speech Time. "Short of <******** everything up," - one had to wonder if that was a poor joke in his part - "Your mission reports from the most recent Haunted House mission were highly inaccurate. When you fill them correctly you may leave. Permanent Island probation will be administered to anyone caught lying, disobeying direct orders, or spreading false information. I hope I make myself just as clear I expect all of you to behave like Hunters, not goddamned incompetent children out to look out for yourself. The Council has been, unfortunately, permanently retired, which means we have very little time for your <******** bullshit. If you so much as think about disobeying orders, then I am sure you can easily reacquaint yourself with the same style of public execution from your goddamn trials."

A long pause as he let everyone digest this. "Consider this a promise on my end: with the Council retired there are only at this moment five remaining positions of authority and only one who is in charge of your profile from success to failure. If you become useless, everything and anything can and will be taken from you."

What possibly made the conversation more awkward was both that it was true and that it was incredibly one-sided. For example, how during that mission it hadn't really been their fault, considering that-

- The person who was giving the lecture was in supposedly dead. Oops. "Now. The mission reports, if you will humour me. If you were on support duty then I still expect a secondhand recount of the aftermath." After you have finished, a new series of External Missions should keep you substantially busy. Considering that your permanence among your ranks is determined by your level of adequacy, it would be a shame if you disappointed your peers and dragged them down with you."

Actually it kind of sounded like it wouldn't.

OOC
- Have your Hunter drop by and fill out a Mission Report here (again for some) of what happened in the Inverted Haunted House. It is probably best to leave out certain parts of detail..
- If you were not in the HH mission (metaplot) you can simply have your Hunter fill in the aftermath ie: what is currently happening, what they have heard, etc etc
- After you are done your character can turn in the paper and wait for further instructions. After this ORP is CONCLUDED you can also now participate in a new set of ems HERE!
- TL biggrin R fill out the report and wait, feel free to mingle but it's probably not safe to exit considering well, you are being judged considerably

Marcus looked at the paper and sighed.

He turned into a statue.

He learned the extent his weapon had wormed to his core and ******** him over mentally.

Great happy fun times for all.

Didn't change the fact he'd become a rock.. But not. It was all very weird. He tried not to think too hard about it. Report filled out he was done. So done.

Jason was just thankful he had not screamed at the sight of Caelius's ghost and ran for the nearest exit, but he was still making furtive glances at the dead lead thinking that he still could be one. But regardless of weather Caelius was or wasn't one, he knew it was best he finished his report.

Although as he looked at the paper, he was going to make sure he did not put down the fact he passed out about three times.

Cass hadn't even been on the mission, but she figured it would probably be in her best interests to bullshit out a report of some sort, just for her own safety.

The LAST thing he wanted to do was fill out ANOTHER one of these mission reports, but, well, this was Caelius.
After his recent "visit" to his office, it was quite evident the man liked his paperwork.

Rather than incur the death lead's wrath... more, Jake grit his teeth and started filling one out.

Rep had been carrying around a lot of things he wanted to put into a mission report, the chance to finally do it was more than welcome. He donned his reading glasses and got to work, filling it out there and then before dropping it off. This accomplished, he took a seat, crossing his arms in front of him. He'd almost forgotten how ******** disastrous that entire mission had been and the sudden reminder from Caelius himself no less was jarring. It was a relief he was still alive - if only because it was bound to cause certain individuals considerable discomfort.

Leon had heard the rumors.

That someone bribed life in order to study in secret the ability to clone human life. He thought it was pure bullshit.

That was quickly reassessed when he walked in the room and saw Caelius and rows of mission forms and pencils. "Dear gods its true." he muttered to himself as he went about the process of filling out the form. Why they had pencils and it felt like some sort of test taking classroom was beyond his knowledge. It just did.

The report and its scribblings were soon completed with a flourish of a signature and the boxer stretched his arms and took a lesson in patience as he waited for the dismissal.

Sasha entered the room, snatched up a mission report, took a seat, and started filling the thing out. She hadn't been on the mission but she'd helped with support while everyone else had been gone - and she'd heard some troubling things since everyone's return.

Once finished, the dark-haired lifer leaned back in her chair and briefly stretched before settling in for the long haul.

It was Caelius, after all.

Sitting beside Marcus was Gale, left arm still in a sling and heavily bandaged (he'd managed to actually sneak out of the Infirmary successfully this time). An all-too-familiar familiar scowl on his face, he all but stabbed his pen at the paper in front of him, scrawling his signature on the mission report, and then sat back and waited for the rest of the storm to arrive.

So this was Caelius. The man behind the rumors. The leader that she'd only known through text and snide remarks. Though she was almost entirely sure that she'd never actually seen him before, Mimsy couldn't shake the familiarity that his face brought. Clerise was sure that the two of them were related. Maybe that was muddling her memories.

<Ha ha ha niddleplim, it's like looking through the looking glass!>

No it wasn't. She touched her face, which was wearing the most sour scowl she could manage, certain that Svensyl was just being an idiot again. Yes, of course -- their bone structure was not nearly compatible enough for there to be a resemblance. And really, she might not have been the most attractive, but she was sure that she didn't look like a man.

She tapped the end of her pencil against her hand as she let him finish speaking, considering what might have been inaccurate the last time around. Maybe a few tweaks to her thesis were in order.

It was strange. Jerry wasn't good at filling out mission reports, and often neglected them. He never knew what to say, and always had this feeling he was being judged on his ability to comprehend everything and anything. He scribbled quickly and thoughtfully, keeping his eyes down.

He didn't like remembering the mission. And it was startling to see Caelius back.

A selfish part of the back of his head, upon seeing Bix and Ceres in one piece again, and the return of the Death Lead, made his stomach twist. Why not Francis? The facility didn't care about their well being.

He settled into a chair beside Rep with a quiet hello once he had dropped off his report, glancing around the room warily. Gale- he didn't know very well. Some new faces. Leon- didn't like him. Sasha...

He stayed by Rep, trying to look anywhere but at the ghost of the woman he had loved.

Somewhere near both Marcus and Gale, but a safe two seats away, was Ami. She was a bit shocked to find that Caelius didn't approve of her report. Ami was a writer. Writing was what she needed approved.

It must have been everyone else. A "bad seed in the barrel" sort of ordeal. Everyone else's were just too shitty, and hers was thrown in with them. Yes, that was it.

So she grabbed a pen and began writing. Ami wasn't about to complain about missing work for more writing. In fact, it was a tad enjoyable. There may have been a smile.

Rep looked over the stupid glasses before hurriedly taking them off and pocketing them as Jerry sat down. He looked pointedly over at Cael at the head of the room and lowered his voice.

"Has he always been this full of ******** sunshine?" At least the death lead had an excuse, having died and all - something that probably would ruin your day a bit - but lately the island in general just seemed glum and grumpy. Even the mention of missions was good news, maybe he could earn some credibility other than being the guy who everyone thought didn't deserve his stripes.

Mission reports? THEY HAD MISSION REPORTS?! Why didn't anyone tell him they had paperwork they were supposed to be filling out after missions. Oh s**t! He hadn't done a single one. Oh god, he was going to get killed. He didn't even know where mission report forms were kept. This didn't help when Melvin glanced over and kept seeing a man who had been torn apart right before his eyes just sitting there looking pissed but not in the least bit bleeding to death. It was like he had been in another illusion. Had he been? He didn't know anything anymore! Either it was that or the Life techs really were preforming miracles in the Infirmary.

Looking at the form, he bite his lower lip, feeling like he was given a pop quiz when he didn't even know what subject he was being graded on.

Ofelia totally had known, by this point, about the wonderful wonder that was Caelius and she could care less about him or anything else he was doing at this point in time. She'd gotten the text, idly wished she had the ability to change her telephone number, and had gone just in time to hear about how her mission report was horrible.

It wasn't like the teen was going to sit there and tell anyone and everyone what happened. Did they need to know of her level of insanity? Of how she went out of her way to protect a Halloween student? Or her sheer delight in attacking Bix and Ceres?

Nope, not at all, so the report she'd submitted for the time being was what they would be stuck with. Her mood may or may not have still been super sour.
