FEAR HOTSPOTS:


gaia_crown [ Activity: ] Activity in the Human World means that both Hunters and Halloween are aware (to some degree) of it! A response center on Deus Ex side is usually set up to deal with these problems and Hunters are dispatched, usually a team, to try and neutralize the situation.


HORSEMEN

HORSEMEN SIDE:

gaia_crown [ Pre-emptive: Horsemen: ] Horsemen may choose to take advantage of places with high Fear in the Human World to cultivate Fear, create Fear of their own by spreading it amongst Humans. They can do so as they please:

gaia_crown [ Starting Out: ] Make sure you read this RP first! After you are done, you make pick out a new lair task here!
- Once you finish reading these rules, make a thread in THIS HUMAN WORLD subforum. This goal of this exercise is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Conflicts are highly encouraged and may be ICly rewarded (on both factions!), including the admin looking for one horsemen and one Hunter victim role for a small event plot next year, you will help us narrow down the choices, won't you?
- When you start your RP, make sure to name in the title your location and mark it as closed. Only when you BEGIN TO CULTIVATE FEAR (stage 3 of your exercise) can you open the thread. Make sure to note in OOC in your most recent post the current IC status of your cultivation/ Horsemen situation so players will know how to react!
- When you are ready to move to Stage 3 of your Lair Task please mark your thread as OPEN. This means you are also inviting PVP/ battle! It makes no sense that Horsemen can just do what they want in the Human World without consequences, especially so close to a very sensitive date, so you will find conflict and opposition!
- A Horsemen's goal is to farm as much Fear as possible before being forced to leave
- When you are done, either through a forced exit or though KO, simply tally your results and go back HERE.

gaia_crown [ WARNING HUNTER ENCOUNTER: ] At any point in your RP, your Horsemen may encounter HUNTERS. Please note, by collecting Fear at any point in time, your thread will encounter HUNTERS whether your like it or not. They may appear earlier in the thread, later, basically they have a bad habit of showing up. You can only take ONE ACTION every round:
- USING AN ACTION TO CONTINUE WORKING ON LAIR TASK (see above) - ONE ROLL = one action!
- ATTACKING A HUNTER/ Defending/ Healing/ etc. If you choose to attack, you cannot collect Fear on the same turn and a new round rolls over.
- A new round starts whenever all characters have taken an action OR 12 hours have passed by since the first action was taken by the first ATTACKER.
- Medea's shard: Horsemen now carry with them Medea's shard, which upon use, will heal them to full HP once PER battle.

gaia_crown [ ESCAPING/ EXITING: ] After a horsemen has had three action rounds WITH A HUNTER ENCOUNTER (ie they've been attacked by a Hunter three times or their team has in general), they may choose to escape. They can simply use their distortion crystal to escape. They take with them the Fear they managed to collect back to here.
- If a Horsemen dissipates they lose all the Fear they collect
- Distortion effects CAN be used in battle. So can Artifacts (if applicable). Horsemen gain a small battle bonus of targeting two players per attack.
- If a Horsemen does not have any Hunter encounter they can simply leave after they finish the Lair Task.




HUNTERS

HUNTER SIDE

gaia_crown [ Pre-emptive: Hunters ] Hunters will find newly assigned Emergency missions in their cellphone. These ones track specific locations, access granted through the Lighthouse Portal sentries. ICly your Hunter picks up an emergency location and then heads to the area. OOCly you collaborate with a Horsemen team OR you can simply crash a party! Consider this subforum a PVP (player versus player) zone so any ORP is fine.
- Conflicts are highly encouraged and may be ICly rewarded (on both factions!), including the admin looking for one horsemen and one Hunter victim role for a small event plot next year, you will help us narrow down the choices, won't you?

gaia_crown [ WARNING HORSEMEN ENCOUNTER: ] At any point during a Horsemen's prp thread if it is marked OPEN you can crash their rp! Please let them post at least once with all their characters however, or until 12 hours have passed since the first post. You can take ONE action per round.
- ATTACKING A HORSEMEN. If you choose to attack, you cannot collect Fear on the same turn and a new round rolls over.
- USING RUNIC ITEMS: Same rules to runics apply
- A new round starts whenever all characters have taken an action OR 12 hours have passed by since the first action was taken by the first ATTACKER.

gaia_crown [ PLAYER BALANCE: ] If a thread ALREADY has more than +2 the number of Horsemen (so if there are 2, max is 4 Hunters, if there is one, max is 3, etc), please wait for another thread. This is to prevent some severe player imbalance.

gaia_crown [ ESCAPING/ EXITING: ] A Hunter should only escape if they take damage close to 0. They can simply pendant out. Their goal is to stop the horsemen, obviously, why are they even escaping???
- If a Horsemen dissipates they lose all the Fear they collect (good news for Hunters!)
- Distortion effects CAN be used in battle. So can Artifacts (if applicable). Runic Weapons are usable.
- If a Hunter reaches 0 HP, their HP cannot go any lower. They will be rendered immobile/ unconscious for the rest of the battle.
