It was late Autumn, going into winter and the weather was miserable and so was Blake. His braided mane hung down his neck, but his long fringe stuck to his face, every so often the wind out rip it off and then slap it back down again, he'd given up shaking it from his eyes, he simply allowed it to do as it wanted. His treasured hat sat at an angle and threatened to topple off his head with the next strong gust of wind, if of course it hadn't clipped in place. The rain had eased to the point it was now that soft sort of drizzle you looked at from under a tree or some form of shelter, and thought nothing of. Blake had been walking in it for hours now and was soaked to the bone; he was cold and fed up. Blake was not a practical stallion, he'd not be the sort to know where or how to find shelter, no he relied on his charms and his wits to win over a new friend to bring him in and shelter him. He got others to provide him with the practicalities he needed to survive, and he'd provide them with the social aspects of life which made everything a little better, a little more interesting. But in his present state even he debated his abilities to charm, he was simply that miserable. He trudged on, head bowed down to the wind and rain, in some vain attempt someone might come to his rescue.

The rain had been more than welcomed. Today Illumise felt as if her will to live on was being drained from her. She had not told Aloa, only putting on a smile and faking a giggle to keep the companion content with her state, who had tried her best to keep the mare from feeling this way. Unfortunately, it couldn't be helped. She loved her familiar friend more than she could ever explain, having saved her from totally losing her sanity long ago but it just wasn't enough to lay it to rest altogether.
Eyeing the skies with dull blue eyes, mirroring her mood, a heavy sigh escaped her.Once carefully aligned curls full of volume and bounce now plastered against her cheeks and neck. straightening out in it's drowned state. It had been a quick stunt of the moment taking the walk, she had crept from the careful concerned eyes of Aloa to enjoy the rain. She lowered her head from gazing at the sorrowful sky and looked on to the path ahead, realising she had done it again;not taken notice of her surroundings as her hooves took her to some distant part of the land that she so wished would be a paradise.
Frown making itself present, memories flooded her mind of a better time when the rain had her stumble across another lonely soul, unaware of what else the world had to offer. She wasn't much different than the stallion, in fact even in his oblivious view over the world he had experienced much more than she had.
"Why?" Illumise whispered, carrying on through the rain in which intensity had dropped since she had set off. "Is it so much to ask for, to not have to feel so alone? To have somebody..." Her desperate plea and prayer could only float off with the wind which kept lashing at her coat and mane in various strengths. Sometimes acting out with a whip like lash and others gently caressing the sores of where it had gotten the better of the damp fur.
It was at that moment that her eyes caught sight of an interesting display. A figure of another creature, much bigger than she was but of similar structure. Her mouth dropped open, disbelief and anxiety coursing through her as she waited in the suspense for the figure to draw closer to her current position. It couldn't be, could it? She found herself doubting her capabilities to tell reality from desire, knowing this may be a trick of the mind. She sucked in her breath, eyes directing swiftly to the nearest tree in protest. She could hide, wait to see if it was real before confronting but... That would be running away.
Perhaps it had just been too long since she saw another creature that was like her that she didn't even know what she would do or say. Unsure of herself, the beautiful mare simply stood there as the rain glided down her body and dripped from her dishevelled bangs.

With his head down and twisted slightly to one side against the wind, he nearly walked straight into the mare. He stopped when he saw two black hooves and fetlocks position only a few inches away from him. He backed up a few paces and then turned into the wind and took in the mare. Her purple hair was cropped short, he was unaware of her natural curls, as wet they now hung further down on her neck, flaying about in the strong winds. Her face and neck was predominately a pale blue and at her throat her black body meet with the blue and framed it with the most wondrous lace like patterning. She was a petite creature, with delicate glass like blades of wings adorned upon her back, and if it wasn't for the fact she was soaked to the bone, about as much as himself, he'd be interested in her company. As it was, she clearly didn't have want he was searching for, somewhere warm to shelter from this miserable weather, for what fool choose to be out in this weather. But one could not simply walk about another when you had practically walked into them, thus Blake apologised.
'My good lady, I am so sorry to have walked into you. You see, the rain and wind was stinging my face and I couldn't really see apart from the ground as to where to place my hooves safely.' He attempted to smile at her apologetically, but it was forced... oh he meant his apology but the weather had fouled his mood and he simply didn't feel like smiling genuinely for anything or one right now. He meet her eyes and was surprised to find such beauty within them, they were crystal blue and... a strong gust of wind caused him to bow his head, having such a cold chill piercing his eyes was not a sensation he relished nor welcomed. He produced a deep rumble within his throat which signified his utter hatred for this sort of weather, and a little less politely than he began he snipped at the mare, 'What is a creature such as yourself doing out in this god forsaken weather anyway?'

Not moving from the same spot even as the male came unusually close to her, she chose to observe him. He was tan in colouration, with white hair that looked as if it was leaking it's colour to dye the flat of his face and back. It was almost like he had been sprinkled with snow. A smile filled her lips as her blue eyes took to the rest of his damp features. His hat which looked unsteady had a lolita styled flare about it, and decorating it was this cute little bow.
It made her giggle cutely. A man with a bow, she found that rather flattering of him. Not many men would wear such an accessory, finding their pride to be worth more than what they were interested in. He had a leg warmer that covered most of his front let and a small bandanna, with a skull marking on it tied around the top of the other, though in it's hanging state she barely made out what it was. The gust of wind revealing it on a whim.
Then, he pulled his head up and his eyes took to her state. She found herself panicking inside, how she was just as drowned. Not like it mattered as much as it would of if she looked like that when she hadn't been in the rain. He was just as wet as she was. Gulping, she turned her head to the side as heat found it's way through her shivering frame and lit up her cheeks like a candle flame.
Her eyes were still at their corners, not wanting to take the vision of him away just yet. His eyes were deep and intense, as if they were looking in to the very core of her being and working their way throughout her. Now he was talking to her. She stayed silent for a moment and then when he smiled she took the friendly gesture as an opportunity to say something.
"Oh!" She gasped. "I-it's perfectly fine." She nodded slowly, turning her head back to face him straight on once more. "The weather is miserable." That she agreed but she never did mind the rain. It just meant she wouldn't be able to fly away if she needed to at any point on her travels. His politeness didn't last very long and she frowned slightly at his abrupt scorn for the wind and rain.
"The rain seemed welcoming. Sometimes a nice walk in the rain is just what one needs. The wind has picked up but the rain feels like it's cleansing your soul. It's a wonderful feeling." She blinked slowly, antennae swaying carefully with the breeze, her hair momentarily being too stuck to her body to even attempt to be blown away by it. "Why are you out in the rain? Doesn't seem like you're too fond of it. Isn't your home near by?" She asked curiously, taking the moment to look around. She hadn't spotted any homely looking spots on the way and it was the same direction he was heading towards.

He didn't really think of anything of the was he addressed the poor more, his anger was directed more at his own situation than anything to do with her and he simply expected her to release that. The wind eased enough for him to catch her gaze once again, this time however he noted the shyness, the manner in which she looked away, her head at a light angle but her eyes still twisted giving her the ability to still keep him in her view, their was a heat which had risen to her cheeks and he smiled slightly to himself for the first time in hours; she was truly charming. He focused on her whilst she spoke though he couldn't help but frown a little at the words that came from her mouth, he didn't love the rain, not in the slightest though this mare seemed to talk of some sort of perverse pleasure in a drenching. Sadly he was in poor relationship with the weather right now to understand the romance in her words and the honestly she exposed to him. Her last sentence however hit a nerve and his eyes steeled, the usually grey orbs, much like the sky at present, turned a darker shade to that of slate and he announced, 'Home? I have no home...'
His words were blunt but honest, having been abandoned by his father, though he didn't know his father was the perpetrator of that event, he'd never really stayed in one place for all that long. He didn't have a home, and he didn't form any lasting relationships that he could return to, to give him that feeling of a homely place either. He shrugged, an action done simply to simplify his emotions which where beginning to rise, he didn't like to think of such things for long, they depressed him and right now he didn't need depressing any further. He mentally picked himself up, attempting to muster enough of his natural charm he depended on so much in the past he smiled softly at the mare, 'I'm afraid I'm a bit of a vagabond, I roam from place to place, searching for something, or someone to content my soul.' He took a single bold step forwards, closing the gap between himself and the mare, 'I'm not as lucky as you, I can't rely on the rain to provide me with my comfort.' He laughed softly to himself, half to create a more eased mood between them and the other half with a bitter edge of his current situation in life.

Illumise watched his steady frame, how his lips parted with words of different tones and manors. He was certainly an odd creature however in a surprising way it was as charming as any rogues could be. He had everything to say but so little at the same time, like a constant chain of riddles. She smiled, she had to. How could she not offer him some sort of comfort in a gentle gesture for someone who had just revealed they had no shelter to the bitter weather if they chose?
"I'm sorry to hear that..." She trailed on, blinking slowly and turning her gaze to the earth beneath them. "That is very sad, even I could not bare to solely have nothing." She had known this state briefly, from the moment she parted from her brothers company to having to find somewhere she could set up camp and make it her home. It wasn't like the patch her mother and father kept but it was somewhere to take shelter, somewhere to provide the warmth even if it meant baring solitude.
"Have you never thought of settling down on your own somewhere?" Her smile faded slightly as she kept watch over him, though the chirp seemed to stand it's ground in the tone of her voice. Was settling down on your own any different to what he was going through, really? She sighed, perhaps not. There was a solution to this, a spark of hope suddenly sprinting in her chest as she whipped her head up. Eyes glistening as they tried to search for the stallions within the mass of his windswept hair.
"My home isn't far from here..." At least, she thought. She had been travelling so long in the rain maybe she had missed a few steps and drawn blanks in the journey. "How would you like to accompany, a lost, lone mare back to her quarters?" She almost sang the words but managed to keep them within the borders of minor flirtation with a playful flare rather than risk scaring the poor stallion off completely. Sorry this took so long. xD <3

The distance between them was now minimal and though soaked to the bone, he could feel the mares body heat radiate from her and all he wanted to do was to press up to her for warmth, not in any other way than to simply feel warm again. Something in his words seemed to hit a nerve with the mare, her eyes dropped to the ground for the first time since meeting her, and that warm genuine smile slide from her face, though the upbeat tone of her voice remained which caused him to questioned the mixture of body language. She gave little away in her choice of questions, it spoke nothing of a personal understanding of his situation, maybe perhaps she was simply imagining what it be like to be at his current status in life which caused her to loose eye contact with him. He looked past her shoulder and into the distance, a filmed glazed looked crossed his eyes and they took on a far away look, no one could understand the situation he was in...
However before melancholy seeped into his soul, as the wet damp of the rain seeped into his bones, the mare gifted him with something completely glorious on what had been turning into one of the worse periods of his life to date. He could feel her eyes searching for his, and he shook of the darker thoughts for a moment to be able to find her beautiful blue eyes once again. They had a light to them which sparkled like the surface of a lake in the summers sun, and he couldn't help but be drawn in by them, his hair whipped about his face but all he saw were her wondrous eyes. Her words were sweet music to his ears, they were tinted with a hint of playful flirtation which drew him right in, the rain and the cold wasn't yet truly forgotten however things were looking up once again and his mood instantly brightened. 'My dear, how could any gentleman refuse!' Already close to the mare, and with the hint of flirtation in her voice he took it as an invite to return it, thus he walked on, brushing up against her, he now stood with his head near her rump and to encourage her to turn he pressed his own gently onto her shoulder, for he presumed she needed to turn about in order to head back home. He awaited patiently for her to respond.

Illumise waited for the handsome stallions reply, although by this point she was soaking in not only the rain but self-conciousness. A wonder flitted through her mind questioning if her approach had been too forward. Jaw relaxed, opened a touch, expressed the inner demon biting at her for the decision she had made to welcome him. He looked taken away by some invisible creature, luring away his attention from her but quickly his gaze found hers once more. She was stalled. The way he was looking in to them was as if he could see her from the inside.
pink touched her cheeks, a warmth in the cold. It made her skin tingle, like a blanket had been tossed over her to shelter her away from the damp wet. His eyes. She was stuck in their awed trance. What did he see? She wanted to know, perhaps her offer had taken him off guard and allowed him to find some peace within the hatred for the weather? His next move certainly made the meeting vary in attitude. His tone brightened, called out to her with an essence of what she had approached him with. He had chose to return the game of flirtation. It surprised Illumise and washed away some of the doubt that was eating her in the suspense. "Oh my." She chuckled, smile sweetening as his next move lead him closer towards her.
Shivers encased her body as his warmth licked at her skin, the cool of the damp fur that brushed at her sides colliding. His movements had strained her view, like a lasso had been cast around her neck her head turned when he left the sole entity of her vision not wanting, even if she could help it herself, being able to shake the sight of him. His head was by her rump now, body pressed against hers. The heat radiating from her could rival that of a hot summers day. She was burning. It had been so long since she had felt another's touch and matter of factly, never had she had someone make such a move in all of her existence.
She felt lost, confused in the middle of it but wanted that feeling to stay like it was the last, like she would lose it forever. Turning instinctively, she made her way around to his side, eyes still trying to keep his as she set on past him. "So kind of you to accept, my dear gentleman." She closed her eyes to savour the last of his touch. Now they were on path to her home, a visitor that she had always dreamed of but never had. Opening her blues once again, she looked on in the direction they needed to take. "This way. I can't tell you how grateful I am for such fine company perhaps you would care to enlighten me a little more about yourself."
