Shor'ame had been enjoying his walk around the land freely. He had no care in the world, and things were going as they should. Nothing was keeping him strapped down to one place, and nothing seemed to stick for long in his head. He's fat body moved lightly every step he took. One could say he was fluffy, but you could tell that wasn't true.

He gave a bored yawn, and decided that this walk wasn't getting him anywhere any time soon. It was almost time for a nap, or perhaps a little snack. Either would work for him. He found a suitable bush to sit behind to try to block out the sun, but it wasn't working as well as he had hoped. The sun was over head, and there was no trees for a great while.

He grumbled and stood up and started walking again. Perhaps a bit of a hunt would come more in handy. Though, just like before, his luck wasn't as good as he wished. His mood was becoming more and more fowl.

Sikilizana had a funny sort of tick against happiness. Perhaps it was because she was never granted it, or perhaps she was just a bitter god at heart. Happiness in families drove her especially insane.

No, she wanted to see lions driven, passionate, living every last day to its fullest extent.

And the site of a lazy, well-fed lion certainly got her hair in a tussle. His bright purple coat had been hard to miss, and his care-free yawn had been even harder. What self-respectable lion had the time to yawn? Certainly no mortal of hers. They were working, as they should have been, chasing dreams, gaining muscle. They were not fat. They were not gluttonous.

They were not greedy. Not like her mother.

So delighted was she, when she followed him, that he began to pull a sour mood. It was as it should be. No lazy, complacent lion could be happy for long. There was no secret to pleasure in taking what you wanted and sleeping. One had to work. Their minds, their brains, their bodies.

And so it was in a good mood when the goddess finally ordained to talk to the purple lion. She did not disguise her godliness, rather she approached him directly.

The purr was evident in her voice as she moved towards him at a jog. "Oy, mortal!" she called out to him, her muzzle twisted into a toothy smile.

Startled, Shor'ame saw the strange lionesss. Wings? Was she part bird? Her grunted at that, if he ignored her, perhaps she would disappear. Though she did say something that kinda annoyed him. "Mortal?" He replied as he gazed at her. "And then what might you be, Bird-lion?" He made no attempt to move, though he could feel his heart racing a bit. She frightened him, but only slightly.

He didn't like strange things, especially things that didn't make sense. Her wings, for instant. "How'd you get those wings?" He asked rather rudely. He had never heard of gods before, but he'd been alone most of his life. Perhaps it was because he was rude, or some other reason. Not that it mattered to him.

He eyed the female. Her fur was quite different than his. She was light with strange markings about her, and bits of black. She had weird things coming out her head. He didn't trust her, not the likes of her. His ears flicked back.

"A goddess," she quickly corrected him. The lioness stretched her wings out beside her, letting each tip dip against the sky.

As he looked them, she withdrew the wings. They were tucked tight against her body, and Sikilizana's eyes narrowed. "They are mine," she persisted, as if he had half a mind to steal them. More than likely, he did.

"Perhaps you could have some, too." The goddess flicked her eyes over his well-fed body. "If you earn it."

Sikilizana's tongue was clicking on the roof her mouth, and she had begun to circle him.

"A goddess?" He was convinced that she was half bird, half lion. "I don't want your wings, I'm just trying to determine if you're more bird then lion." He felt that he couldn't be anymore honest about it. Though curiosity about them still crossed his mind. All types of questions filled his head, but none escaped his mouth.

"Why would I want any, I'm happy on the ground. They look uncomfortable anyways." He paused for a moment, "they look stupid too"

"You are dumb then, as well as obese," she chimed in with all the sensitivity of scoria.

Sikilizana's wings re-folded onto her back and she tilted her head with each circling step. "There are many uses for wings. Warmth, safety." Aggravating touchy mortals.

A toothy smile crossed her face, though it was not one of amusement. Siki bared each pearly white fang. Perhaps she should curse him to desire wings, to search for them until he leapt off a cliff chasing a bird.

"You will do well to hide your tone, mortal."
