Oh, finally. Finally ! It had taken most of the afternoon (which was, of course, forever in Caelia's mind) but she had managed to sneak her way outside, right under the aoidei's nose. It was her lucky day - neither parent was around, and Jinx was not exactly the most attentive babysitter.
Though now that she finally had made her way outside, she found herself wondering what to do and where to go. The possibilities seemed endless - after all, this was her first time outside alone, like a big girl.
The possibility for trouble was, of course, endless. For now, Caelia set toward one of the teahouses, curious as to what might be hiding within.

Tien was out in the gardens by herself, which was rather rare these days. Enjiron was busy spending time with his siblings- she might have heard mention of his eldest brother's wedding. Maybe they were planning some sort of stag party? For Kinjin though....okay, perhaps not, but still it was an amusing notion.
Trickery paused, spotting Caelia heading into one of the teahouses as she passed by. At first she thought nothing of it, probably just a little mortal child playing hide and seek in the gardens with parents or friends. But after a little while when no adults had appeared she began to wonder, and worry, just a little. Was the girl alone? If that was the case someone was probably missing her. Perhaps she could find out, or at the very least keep her busy until her parents did show up.
With that thought in mind Tien headed back to the teahouse.

Oh, this place was nice, and confy, with all those cushions. And the low tables were just the right height ! This information was filled in her mind for later - this would be such a nice place to take a nap ! - but now, Augury was anything but tired.
When she saw someone else coming toward the door, however, her first reflex was to think she was caught - already ???? - and so the purple-haired child wriggled and hid under the cushions. This was far from an expertly thought-out plan - bits of feathers and her eyes and nose were sticking out. When she realized that Tien was not an aoide out to catch her - or at least, not an aoide she knew - the strings of giggles started. Ha ! No one would find her here, obviously.

Tien fought down the urge to laugh when she headed into the tea house and spotted the girl. It would have been a more clever hiding place had she buried herself under a few more cushions, the giggles hadn't helped. Still, she could certainly play along for a bit until she was willing to come out.
"I know I saw someone come in here, where could she have gone?" She made a show of looking under all sorts of places for her- some more ridiculous than others. Under the table, beneath some of the cushions the tiny goddess had not burrowed under, even underneath teacups that had been left out. "Hn. Not here either." Trickery frowned and glanced around, as if she was looking for other places to inspect.
If the little girl was like any other small child she had met before she would eventually reveal herself if she wasn't outted.

Oh, that was a silly person ! Who hid under teacups ? This only made Augury's giggles evolve into full-blown laughter. Still, Tien was right on one thing - Caelia only had so much patience, and staying still was not exactly her forte, so eventually she rose, sending cushions flying about without much of a care as to where they landed at all.
"Who're you ?" Caelia blinked, tilting her head a bit.

"Ah ha! There you are." Tien grinned when the girl acted exactly like she expected.
Trickery was about to answer the girl's question when something stopped her- the girl's identity. Now that she had gotten a better look at her the girl reminded her a good deal of Cosine, just painted over in warmer colors. This was one of children that Akakios had mentioned it had to be.
"My name is Tien. What is your name?"

Tien ? That was a pretty name ! "Caelia." The girl answered, nodding for emphasis. The young lady was clearly a sociable one - and easily excited at that. Little wings flapped about idly as she pondered what to do now that she had found someone - the fact that it had been Tien that had found her was irrelevant in his mind.
"Hmmm... Wanna play ?"

"Sure." Hide and seek or tag maybe?
It wasn't like she had anything better to do and besides it was probably better that the tiny goddess wasn't wandering around all by herself. "What would you like to play?" How had she gotten out anyway? Tien could not imagine Ankou or Cosine allowing her to be out on her own.

Oh, now this was a complicated question. She wanted to play, yes, but she had not quite thought what she wanted to play. The girl turned pensive, exaggeratedly so for such a matter - but this was a Very Important Question and she probably only had so much time before a worried parent or an angry aoidei came for her. Caelia knew that much, at the very least.
"Hmmm..." The little girl rocked on her heels idly, before she finally seemed to decide. "Tag !"

Very Important Question, indeed!
Tien grinned, watching Caelia's expression as she decided just what she would like to do. Children really were adorable.
"Tag it is then." Though, tag against an adult would not be very fair for a little goddess. That was something that easily remedied at least. "I just need one minute first." It was hard to imagine what she might have looked like as a child, since that time had been so very long ago now. Small, obviously, with features similar to what she had now, tiny wings. It was rough but it would do for now. Since that was settled she closed her eyes and shifted.
When her eyes opened again Trickery found herself more on Caelia's eye level and giggled. "There!"

Yes, they were gonna play ! But... wait ? Caelia pouted. Clearly she did not like to wait, not at all.
The wait would be worth her while, though - sunset-colored eyes going wide when Tien all but shrank. "You can do that too ??" Daddy did that, every now and then. Or looked completely different ! Still, no matter how much she tried, she could not get herself to look tall. Strangeness, indeed !
Maybe Tien would show her ? But first, play ! Trickery was prompted tagged, and Caelia ran off, laughing all the while.

The look on Caelia's face had made it worth it. She grinned, looking rather pleased with herself. "That I can." Though, she had to admit seeing everything from this vantage point was odd indeed. That was more something to ponder later it seemed, as she was 'it'. Tien took off after Augury when the other goddess ran from her.
If anyone happened upon her and the little goddess playing they were bound to be in for for a laugh.

Oh, she wasn't going to be caught so damn easily, now ! At least, that was the plan. There were not many obstacles out in the open like this, so this was merely a test of endurance and energy.
It just simply happened that Caelia had both in spades. "You won't catch me~~~ !"
Oh, and it was indeed extremely amusing.
It had taken him a little while to track down his wayward daughter, and he was stuck in a correndum. The 'correct' behavior to have would have to be upset that Caelia had broken the rules that had been established, and probably to punish her for it. There could be very real dangers out here.
But at the same time, Ankou could not help but to be amused - and yes, actually proud that Caelia was already evading her keepers this easily. Augury was indeed clever.
For now, however, he simply watched the children's antics, phased out of sight. He would take his daughter when she tired, probably.

Thankfully, Tien would not have any problems keeping up with Caelia for a while yet. If the little goddess managed to wear her down before she was exhausted herself that would be quite the feat indeed. Since this was a more fair game it would take a little bit before Trickery would catch up with her, tag her and then run off laughing.

And caught !
This did little to deter or upset Augury, however. It just meant it was her turn to catch ! Augury stopped just long enough to turn, and then she was hot on Tien's trail. "Im gonna catch you~~~ !"
Everything was all fun and games in Caelia's world, at least for now.
