The Captain

Hroarr is the leader of this band. He watched his father, the Warlord, defeated in honorable combat before leaving the pride's lands. He has no intention of remaining a rogue, though, and carries on as if he merely was spending an extended time on viking. He strives to be a good captain, but refuses to allow females to be forced. Willing partners for the night are acceptable, however. He holds to the pride's beliefs and rankings still, and will expect those who join him to do the same.

He is seeking rogues to join his warband, to make it strong for the time when they will return to the pride and rejoin it in glory. Since such a warband needs feeding and tending, he also is going to be taking thralls to help provide the necessities for them all.

The Lawspeaker

Anezka is Hroarr's mate, accompanying him willingly into exile. She is the resident Lawspeaker, holding the traditions and history of the pride within her memory. Through her, the new Reavers will know the ways of the pride, and learn how to be proper Stormborn. She is also very proud of their pride, and fully intends to return someday.

The Priestess

Ember is Hroarr's half sister, and has spent her time learning to be a priestess. Her sacrifices and predictions will bring good fortune on this band of exiles. She will be the only one present who can make charms and talismans available for the Reavers to use.

Ember will be travailing between the band and the edges of the viking land where others of her family are hiding out in the haunted forests. Being a seer she knows where they are and can journey directly to her siblings without risking an encounter with any of the pride. She will always return to the band though, once periodically satisfied her family is safe. She is the only member of the warband that is allowed to go near the pride's borders.

The Healing Thrall

Isibeal belongs to Hroarr, who will defend her whenever necessary, even from his own Reavers. Her true value is in her ability to use herbs to heal injuries and ailments. She is no gentle nurse, however, and is likely to snap and growl at a reluctant Reaver patient. She is good at what she does, though, and is able to handle even serious injuries.

The Reavers

Lion's Name and Image: Gabriel
Owner: Kathryn Dragonna
Personality: Gabriel is the more serious of the two siblings. She is fierce and loyal to family and pride.

Lion's Name and Image: Azrael
Owner: Kathryn Dragonna
Personality: The more sarcastic and playful of the two siblings, Az appears to follow where his sister leads a lot. He is a force to be reckoned with in his own right, though.

Lion's Name and Image: Asher
Owner: Tanakako
Personality: Born in the kizingo-zaa, but become a rogue when he and his brother were still cubs, the small family has been travailing the lands for several seasons. The brothers both grow to maturity as rogues and knowing their parents are headed to join a pride that will suit them, the two males strike off on their own looking for the excitement and adventure most young adults crave. They learn of the stormborn and decide that it sounds like a fine place to set up camp. Asher is generally cheerful and often playful, acting like a cub as often as not, yet with his gentle mother and blind father he has learned from an early age what responsibility means and is more than happy to help out any who need it. Being a large lion like his father he is incredibly strong and doesn't at all mind being used as a smaller creatures pack mule. He even plays up to the misnomer of big = dumb, and is perfectly happy to be underestimated until revealing his wits is to his advantage.
Running into the warband he is at first attracted to them because they come from the infamous Viking pride, but upon hearing their story and meeting Hroarr and Ember, he decides to throw his lot in with them, feeling a deep injustice had been done and wishing to aid however he can.

Lion's Name and Image:  Timeus 
Owner: Club Snails
Personality:  Timeus is a warrior at heart. He dedicated much of his younger life training. Being raised in a such a strict environment left him serious and a bit cold. He fight mostly his own honor. He doesn't often think of others, usually putting himself, his family and those he considers family first. He has high expectations of those close to him, often challenging them to become stronger then they are.

Owner: Club Snails
Personality:  Seema wants to make others proud of her. She became strong some Timeus would notice her. She isn't a push over though. She is quick to temper, though usually she attacks verbally unless she feels threatened. Seema is also very protective of those she cares about, though she is a warrior first, a mother second.

Lion's Name and Image: Akeldama
Owner: Hanging Gallow
Personality: Akeldama is a fierce but older lioness. She is not a young and brash hell raiser lioness but more of a methodical in her words thoughts and actions taking the time to think before acting. She does hold loyalty and trust highly and betraying that is a high offense to her.

Lion's Name and Image: LIVNA | Uncert with Edits
Owner: Vistada
Personality: Livna was born to another pride and then left, when she figured out that her pride had been a bunch of cowards in the end. Their leader conquered a pride by assassinating the other pride's leader. Instead of facing their duel to the death the day after.
That sort of thing doesn't run well with Livna. If it's a fight. That means a fair fight, no cheating. And throwing up them dukes and fangs.
She's a humble lioness. Not much of a jerk, however, she doesn't believe in being lazy. Livna has worked her whole life, and has never given up. She has a belief she was born to be a Stormborn. Stick some drama in front of her and call her out as a coward. And you may have yourself a challenge. However, keep her on your side and hold her friendship. She'll go to the end of the world with you. She's loyal to her comrades, Livna was raised to be this way.

The Freeborn

Lion's Name and Image: Asmar
Owner: Mouselet
Personality: Asmar is a strong-willed lioness who seeks to be accepted as an equal by any she should encounter, male or female. She refuses to live as if her life was worth less than anybody else's.

The Thralls

Name and Image: Tatit
Owner: Kathryn Dragonna
Serving: Gabriel
Personality: Whiny and docile most of the time, she has been whipped into shape by her mistress. She still gets cocky and snippy with some of the others, but not often because she doesn't want Gabe mad at her.
Special Skills?: none

Name and Image: Orra
Owner: ChezaRain
Serving: Azrael
Personality: Orra is sweet and kind, and loves little critters. However, she shares her mother's genetic lack of directional know-how, and gets lost quite often because of it. She has always heavily relied on her brother for support, and lay in wait hiding when he was captured [unbeknownst to her] by the SB.
Around strangers, she tends to be a rather weak-willed girl, which is why she would be captured to begin with. She stays positive about finding her brother and does her duties without qualm and takes what the higher-ups dish out with bottled reactions.
Special Skills?: None.


Name and Image: Niju (He is an adult)
Owner: Andranis
Serving: Entire Warband
Personality: Chipper and happy despite what circumstances have dealt him, Niju is under the misguided impression that he's a cheetah full-blood, and everybody else around him is a cheetah. He's held this belief since a cub, and never really outgrown it. To Niju, Lions are just incredibly fluffy cheetahs.
Special Skills?: He can sing... And he tends to have an infectious smile and bubbly personality(Or so he thinks... He tends to irritate others a lot with it...). He can also make a good shoulder to cry on.


Name and Image: Mtindi'eupe (He is an adult.)
Owner: Andranis
Serving: Entire Warband
Personality: A cheeton eager to work, Mtindi's already accustomed to being a little work mule for others if they'll feed him. Yup, he's not really keen on hunting... But he feels it's a fair trade. He does anything you ask, as long as you give him food. As part of a result of this, he bears a lot of scars and other scuff marks.

He's quite exasperated at Niju, finding his friend to be frustrating in his persistent belief that they're pure-bred cheetahs. Mtindi's not an idiot - He's well aware of what they are and the stigmas that come with being a half-breed.
Special Skills?: Mtindi's a hard worker, doing whatever's asked of him - And this was even BEFORE the Warband happened to him!

Hroarr and his exiled band have traveled a long way from the main pridal territory, but are technically inhabiting land claimed by the pride. It is a far-flung outpost that has been used as a safe haven for Stormborn to rest and store their loot on long vikings. It is fifteen days travel from the pride's main borders.

It probably was already a den once upon a time, but was taken over by the pride. It is located at a large hill of tumbled boulders. There is a large, gaping entrance that is roofed by the boulders, but dives down into the cool, dark earth. There are tunneled chambers beneath the hill, and a narrow "secret" exit. Additionally, there are smaller alcoves outside among the boulders that could potentially be used as small dens. The loot chamber lies deepest beneath the hill, as far from either entrance as can be managed.

This will be the home base for their operations. The band will go on vikings in the surrounding roguelands, just as if they were not exiled. The outpost will be tended by the thralls, with Anezka and Ember to oversee them. There will be a standing order to not roam more than one day in the direction of the pride's main territory, so no accidental encounters with the pride will occur.

If you are part of this warband, feel free to rp together. Please remember that they would viking together, so rps should reflect that others are present, even if they are not included in the actual rp. Thralls can accompany Reavers on vikings, and Reavers can stay behind to guard the outpost as well.

RPs at the outpost can be posted in the Stormborn forum, but please mark it as being located at the outpost.

Viking rps will still be posted in the roguelands forum.

Couple of questions:

I have a freeborn Inari who I had been hoping to RP to a reaver. But since thanksgiving happened, as well as my current situation, I didn't get around to it, so now... She's stuck. She joined the stormborn in search of an exciting life, and though I have yet to RP post-breytast, I can tell you that she's ICly pretty pissed off to have just joined a pride that's going to force her into tiny boring tasks and forbid her from the action and excitement she just joined for. And she has little patience to wait it out. OOCly, I do. ICly, she doesn't. XDDDDD

That being said, the pride could turn around in time, and I felt it was a really good fit for her before the changes. Are these lions planning to return in the future? I don't want her to leave just yet, but I've been trying to think of what to do with her. She would not probably want to tough it out, so I was thinking of having her leave. (Also, I'm not sure if this is sufficient reasoning for you to have a Freeborn join the warband. She doesn't want to stay as a Freeborn if it can be helped.)

Would there also be a way for her to reach reaver? (Or would she be put in that rank by default?)
