WE ARE HALLOWEEN Life Hunter BATTLE ARENA General Information The portal opens up into an observation room, and down the stairs, an odd chamber for something like hunter training. At the center of a piranha-filled pool stands a solid stone table and several chairs. The Life Arena was built underneath the demolitions and ballistics testing areas, and the chamber rumbles with the occasional explosions above. Pinpoint red lasers sweep across the room regularly, as if hidden snipers are searching for a nice target. In the center of the table sits a wooden tower, made up of smaller wooden blocks. Yes. That's right. The Life Hunters prefer to train via Jenga.
Note: Distraction techniques and Yo Momma jokes are considered viable weapons when playing competitively.
If you fail: you have knocked down the tower! A small dart hits the back of your neck. You come to several hours later, and hope Dr. H didn't do anything to your body while you were unconscious. When you look into the mirror...
If you win: you have reached 50 points! You get a sharpie marker to do with as you please. peen points go to those with the highest scores.
Mechanics - by carefully removing pieces of the tower, you earn points and advance to the next round. As the rounds continue, the odds grow steadily against you. Rolling a 1 at any point means you have knocked down the tower. Please do enjoy your mystery dart. Anything after reaching 50 points is purely for peen.
- you may roll pieces individually (suggested for group play) or in batches of 5 (basically, a full round.)

Lex was sitting at the Jenga table, waiting for the Moon Hunter to show. He'd sent the man a text, changed into clothes that wouldn't be hurt if the sharpie somehow bled, and was lounging. He needed more precision training; and to simply beat this stupid game; and perhaps Marcus himself.
Plus, they never got to finish their conversation.

Marcus and free time were two things at odds. He was having less and less of it, and the only thing he really seemed to have was patience. Between the tedious tasks of repairs and the ongoing medical training he was often stuck on one place for extended periods of time. When Lex texted him, it broke the cycle and gave him out.
Training trainees was something he was able to do on call without getting worried that he'd be called for slacking. Someone had to train trainees after all. Arriving at the life course he gave a small wave to the guys on duty before heading out. "So, have an answer yet?"

Lex gave Marcus a familiar sort of grin, shaking his head at his question. Of course he had an answer - he wouldn't have initiated this meeting if he was clueless. He cleared his throat a bit as he leaned forward, and pulled five pieces of the tower out; speed rounds.
"Not one for small talk, are you?" A chuckle as the tower settled juse before a loud bang. Good, very good. "No, I've never tried for anything more than just one night stands and early morning calls from desperate women." He was grinning still, almost unsettling that he could make such deep conversation whilst smiling. "Not sure I ever want to, either. Obviously faithfulness isn't in my blood."Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 5 Total Points: 5

A snort from the moon hunter. Clearly unimpressed he rolled his shoulders. "In other words you've never really tried it and wanted it. That's what I'm hearing." A speculative look, he pulled out a piece. "Why do you think that they encourage things like one night stands here? Rather than what I encourage, that being having a committed relationship."

Lex chuckled as he pulled out more wooden pieces, the simplest ones he could find. He breathed easy as they came out without a problem; much better than last time. No darts so far, but that could always change. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, and all that.
"Because partners die; so why stay committed to someone who may be dead this time tomorrow." he answered nonchalantly, shrugging. Made sense to him. "But why don't you tell me why you think it's better to stay committed to one person in this kind of life?"Status Round: 1 Pieces Taken: 10 Total Points: 20

Marcus nodded. "Because when I die, I'll die knowing I spent my life fighting for someone I never would have had. I wake up and when I ask myself why, all I need to do is look to her. Because being able to come home from hell I know that my room isn't going to be empty. That I'll never need to seek out comfort. She's right there. No matter what I see, what I'm forced to do, she'll be there for me. And if she dies? I'll have those memories of her, I'll have my reason to keep fighting. Alone?"
He sighed. "They make seem logical, appealing even, but I would rather enjoy what time I have truly happy then forcing myself to be alone. So why pass up happiness knowing that no matter the end result will be the same? We will die."

One of the Hunters on duty made a small coughing laugh, flicking a switch that caused the Jenga tower to rebuild itself to the point before Marcus had messed it up. "No need to wake him up kid, he'll be out of it in a few minutes." He told Lex, before being silent again.
When Marcus awoke a few moments later, Lex was sitting at the table still, grinning still. "Enjoy your nap, sleeping beauty?" He asked in a smarmy tone, before pulling his pieces. He pulled a little too quick on his last piece, and was treated to a quick nap of his own.Status Round: 3 Pieces Taken: 14 Total Points: 36

Marcus gave Lex a glare. He'd been a princess once, never again thank you. He managed one price while Lex was out before nap time.

Lex woke up to a sleeping Marcus, which he had to smile at. He left the sharpie alone; for now, and opted to just pull one more piece from the precarious tower.
Phew, no boom.Status Round: 3 Pieces Taken: 15 Total Points: 40

Pulling the last easy piece out of the tower, Lex gave a smirk as the sharpie was offered. Yes, yes he would take it.
Getting up and uncorking his tool, Lex gave a small and sympathetic smile at the passed out man. Life was hard, Marcus, but Moon was trained to carry big loads. He put the soft tip gingerly against the other man's face, stroking lightly and tenderly as he chuckled in the back of his throat. Oh yes, this was going to be good.
He stroked again, around the lips this time, paying extra attention to the corners, gently rubbing against the cranny of the upper lip, brushing the nose on accident. Whoops.
Pure delight came from the next stroke, across the man's cheek. It was almost too much to handle, and Lex did all he could to stop himself from letting little sounds of pleasure escape his mouth.
Once finished, he capped the sharpie and set it back on the table; admiring his handy work. Marcus was a lumberjack now; full beard and unibrow in tow.
He'd just wait for the man to wake up. They still needed to talk.Status Round: 4 Pieces Taken: 15 Total Points: 50
