Another silly season is upon us. Not a crazy amount of movement, but enough to make a few headlines. In my opinion the biggest headline being Matt Kenseth moving from the #17 for Roush Fenway Racing to the #20 car of Joe Gibbs Racing. Teams for 2013 look like this.
Roush Fenway Racing Cup 16 Greg Biffle, 17 Ricky Stenhouse Jr., 99 Carl Edwards Nationwide 6 Trevor Bayne
Wood Brothers Racing Cup 21 Trevor Bayne
Richard Petty Motorsports Cup 9 Marcose Ambrose, 43 Aric Almirola
Penske Racing Cup 2 Brad Keselowski, 22 Joey Logano Nationwide 22
Hendrick Motorsports Cup 5 Kasey Kahne, 24 Jeff Gordon, 48 Jimmie Johnson, 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Nationwide 5 Regan Smith
Richard Childress Racing Cup 27 Paul Menard, 29 Kevin Harvick, 31 Jeff Burton Nationwide 2, 33, Kurt Busch
Stewart-Haas Racing Cup 10 Danica Patrick, 14 Tony Stewart, 39 Ryan Newman
Earnhardt Ganassi Racing Cup 1 Jamie McMurray, 42 Juan Pablo Montoya
Furnature Row Racing Cup 78 Kurt Busch
Joe Gibbs Racing Cup 11 Denny Hamlin, 18 Kyle Busch, 20 Matt Kenseth Nationwide 11 Brian Scott, 18 Brian Vickers, 20 Elliot Sadler
Micheal Waltrip Racing Cup 15 Clint Bowyer, 55 Mark Martin/Brian Vickers, 56 Martin Truex Jr.
I know there are other teams that exist on the track, but I decided to just list the most stable teams. Thoughts?

The way I see it, teams that are most likely to thrive in the next few seasons are Roush Fenway Racing, Penske Racing, Hendrick Motorsports, Stewart-Haas Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Micheal Waltrip Racing.
Those are the teams that are just waiting for age to catch up with them with Gibbs not only having a good mix of young and old drivers, but arguably the best driver development program in NASCAR period.
Heading up the list of teams in trouble after 2013 *coughHarvickhack*...Childress.

I agree whole heartily on the RCR standpoint...for years they have struggled with consistency dating all the way back to the late 90's one year they do good...they next the fall... I think Harvick wants to stay with Childress just on the friendship standpoint..,.but if he wants to win a championship he may have to take the deal at SHR

Ditto on RCR. Good one year, weak the next one or two. I do hope they turn things around.

JGR is going to be a fun odd bunch next year... after 2 years of confusion it appeared that Denny was the kingpin there and everyone followed him...Now with Kenseth there it may change...to make matters worse..its going to be a pain with setups. Kenseth , Hamlin, and Busch all run different setups...whereas in the past Kyle's setup was always up in the air and Denny and Joey shared notes... I'm not sure that will be the case next year.
MWR needs Truex to win...plain and simple... Truex needs to feel like he can win and he will go on a tear... they also need to be careful not to lose Vickers... he will be a threat later on.
Penske like always has the luck of the Irish Hills when changing manufactures every time they change they roll of a string of victories case in point 2003... And I see Joey and Brad fitting well together..expect both in the chase next year with Joey just barely getting in.
RFR will bounce back with the new help they get from the recently moved over Penske squad. I also will go out on a limb and say that Ricky will either win a race or get 3 top 5's...
SHR will suck with Danica ..but like always Tony will rebound during the summer. However Newman I doubt will make the chase again.
EGR will FINALLY win the Brickyard with the new Hendrick motors they got under the hood
Hendrick like always will dominate... this time however Kasey will be in the hunt for the Title from the get go... Jr. will struggle like always but will make the chase
And Kurt will finish 16th in standings with 10 top tens but with 7 under 30 finishes. Any objections???
