Reminder: these matches are one pokemon per person, but like a Gym battle you'll roll to see who goes first before sending out pokemon. It doesn't matter what order you post those introductory/order-rolling posts. The battlefields are a plain concrete floor, no bonuses or penalties to anyone. Remeber to use only the pokemon originally entered in the tournament, using the bonuses what were entered at the time. In an effort to keep this round from dragging on, I will be instating a time limit: all battles must be concluded on 1 month's time. Any battles left unfinished on Dec. 19 will be ended, and person who posted last will be awarded the win.

Alexa walked into the stadium and looked around. Her first battle didn't go as planned, her opponent just didn't seem to be there. Now she wasn't sure who she was fighting as she had missed the names being called. She in fact had to ask which field she was on. She moved to her trainer box and fingered her pokeballs. Time to decide on who to use.

Genesis entered the ring, a satisfied smile playing over her features. Doyle was a powerful opponent, and she had been glad to beat him.
The smile was short-lived, however. Her opponent was one she recognized, and Doyle's sister, too.
"Hey, Alexa!" she called cheerfully, calling out first to avoid suspicion. "I'm glad to see you here; good luck!"

"All right, Erebos," Genesis called, low enough so that only she and her Pokémon could hear. Then, louder, "You're up!"
At her word, Erebos entered the field quietly. A cold eye was turned towards his opponent-to-be, and he waited with practiced calm for the battle to begin.

Alexa smiled when she saw Karin walk in. "Hey Karin! So good to see you again!" She called out, "Haven't seen you since I left Motterossa." She saw the Lucario appeared and reached for a certain pokeball. She tossed it out releasing her hound. "Go Vincent!" Vincent appeared with a howl. He then spotted the Lucario and recognized him from that one time in Howling Woods. He barked wagging his tail. 1050 HP

Erebos, preparing for the battle to come, slowly lowered his lids and calmed his mind.

"And neither will I." Alexa called out. She shook her head at Vincent's antics: he was clearly trying to get the Lucario to play. "Alright Vincent. Use Flare Blitz!"
Vincent was just in front of Erebus doing little hops trying to get him to notice him. Hearing the attack he opened his mouth and spewed out flames. They covered his body and he rammed himself into Erebus.

"Watch out, Lucario," Genesis warned, but a moment too late. Gritting her teeth with feigned worry, she retaliated with, "Hit 'im with Stone Edge!"
Snarling as the flames struck him, Erebos writhed out of the puppyish Arcanine's grasp. Leaping nimbly some distance away, he summoned blades of stone from the ground and directed them at his opponent.

Vincent was struck with the stones and whined. He even heard his trainer wince. He quickly shook it off and charged towards the Lucario. One of his big paws came up and struck down near Erebus.

The blow shattered the rocks, sending the shards flying at Erebos. He hadn't been too harmed, but he knew he would be weakened for the rest of the battle. He'd have to end this quickly.
Coming to rest on a large stone, he prepared another Stone Edge.

Vincent yelped when a stone hit him and backed away. Things weren't going so well for him but hopefully things would turn around. He rushed at Erebos and brought his paw down hard.

The attack earned Vincent another growl. Erebos kept an ear back for his trainer's voice but, hearing none, continued to barrage the Arcanine with Stone Edge.

Vincent went down when hit with the next Stone Edge. He slowly got up unable to admit defeat. He then walked around Erebos like he owned the battle and wasn't about to keel over.

Erebos' vision blurred from the Arcanine's strange movements. Struggling, he tried another Stone Edge to finish the fight, but ended up using Aura Sphere instead.
