Rin followed fast on Melvin's heels the whole way back to the dorms. The closer they got to Sasha's room, the more the woman began to shiver with anticipation. Rin was so happy to be out of the infirmary and even more so just before the holidays started in.
She gave Melvin a bright grateful smile. The man had done so much for her she couldn't even begin to figure out how to thank him appropriately. Even this - it was his idea.
Rin pushed ahead of him to rap her knuckle gently against the door. He was already carrying all her s**t, knocking was the least she could do.

Melvin tried to walk slowly, checking to see if Rin was getting tired or dizzy, and watched as she all but rushed to the door and knocked. He remembered the last time he was in front of Sasha's door, at that time not knowing much about the woman, and gave her a rose after she nearly slammed the door in his face. She only met her again when she tried to murder Rep, and then to talk Life theories in the labs. He still had mixed feelings about her, not sure if Rin would be best in his care. However, it was better than him staying her place or her going into his personal space.
He adjusted the strap of the duffel bag on his shoulder and waited.

Sasha opened the door slowly, a small half-smile spreading across her lips. The door swung in, and Sasha took a few steps back to accommodate the two lifers that stood at the threshold.
"Come in! I was wondering when you would show up. And Melvin, too, carrying your bags like a gentleman."
The smile she gave the blonde did not reach her eyes, but her entire face warmed when she turned back to Rin.
"I'll have to gather a few more blankets and pillows. Wash helped me drag a second bed in - yours, Rin - so we have plenty of sleeping space."
The two beds in question dominated the room, pushed up alongside one another to form one giant bed. It was the only way they'd both fit in the cramped little room.

Rin was managing to keep up, for now. She somehow managed to lighten up further at seeing Sasha's face, "Yes, Melvin has been far too kind to me." She shot him a grateful, lop-sided smile.
As soon as Rin saw her bed though, her jaw nearly hit the floor. But. But. Stuff and... ... it was rather personal for her. The bedspread looked lavish and crisp and clean. It was clear she was not fond of anything that was military issue. She was turning rather pink before humming and hawing and bashfully muttering, "Thank you Sasha."

Melvin stepped in with Rin, setting her duffel bag on what he felt was her bed, and looking at the pair of them close together. His mind wandered a bit, thinking of some improbably yet entertaining possibilities, before he turned about. "Well, I'll just leave you in her care." He moved past them, looking at Sasha as he passed as if trying to say something but didn't, and looked to Rin. "We'll go for coffee sometime. Get some rest and don't let her keep you up all night." Again, his mind wandered a bit.
"Ladies." He said to the both of them, tipping an imaginary hat before walking out. Free now, he wanted to rush off to his own, still private and unshared room.

Sasha's smile grew a bit wolfish as she watched Melvin, eyes flaring for a brief moment as he slipped past her. She took on a farcical frown, looking hurt.
"I would never keep her up all night, Melvin."
She waited until he was out the door to call out a brief, "Thank you!" before closing the door quite firmly. Only then did she turn to smile at Rin.
"I hid your ah.. more personal items before I asked Wash to come help move the bed. He's such a helpful man." A slight pause. "How are you feeling? You were cleared to leave, mm?"

Rin was fighting the urge to smirk herself. She wasn't that naive. Still, never hurt to pretend she was, "Anytime Melvin. Just text me and I'll come." Yeah, that so wasn't on purpose either.
Rin offered up a calmer look at this news, "Good I uh... didn't think he'd uh... understa- wait. You saw my other stuff?" She was cherry red now Sasha. Look what you've done.
She'd answer your other question but now she's far too flustered to ever talk like a normal non-stuttery person again.

"Well it wasn't like I just went digging for it," Sasha sounded a little aghast. "I didn't even know things like that existed until.. well. Until I moved your bed, really, and the box opened and. Well."
Sasha cleared her throat.
"I closed it back up and shoved everything in the closet."

Rin's blush managed to deepen further and she found herself struggling to breathe, "Oh.. oh god... oh god... you... you saw all that... oh god.. I just... I ..."
She was starting to wheeze.

"To be frank, I have no idea why you'd keep chains and straps under your bed, Rin. The quartermaster has plenty of them, last I checked?"
Sasha shook her head, befuddled.
"At any rate, don't worry about it. We're friends."

Deep breaths Rin, deeeep breaths. There was a chance she didn't truly get the meaning of the items.... and if she did, she was being nice about it. A small victory.
She sloooowly started to untense, "Okay Sasha. Thank you for hiding it." Clearly she knew something was up if she did that much...

Rin wandered over to try and sit on the foot of her bed, bouncing a bit on the cushion. "A bit weak and woozy. But they still have me on meds so not too painful at least."
She looked up at Sasha, "How about you? I'm not being a bother am I?"

"Of course you aren't," Sasha chuckled softly with a shake of her head. "It's good to see you up and about, honestly. How is Byr? I hope he's well - and I hope your bond is stronger than it was before. Have you tried to summon him yet?"

"Ah.. um.. not yet. He's been pretty groggy and out of it still," Rin looked thoughtful as she mentally poked the Byr so to speak. She just got a dismissive grunt for her efforts and the sensation of him rolling over somewhere.
"Yeah, he says he's sleepy," sorta.
