There was a strange trail leading through the halls. It was silver and loose and leaving quite a mess. Most of the hunters just ignored it, or glanced down in puzzlement and kept walking. The fact was that it was truly a trail.

It was tinsel.

Leading from a supply closet, down the hall, up the stairs, down another hall, and ending at a cracked open suite door with Green Arrow taped to it. The tinsel trail was broken up with small snowflake glitter and the occasional tiny glass light bulb.

Eva hadn't even been to Bix's room after he'd been promoted to hunter. She probably didn't even know it was his room. The door swung open to reveal a somewhat spacious living area with a large couch, a kitcheonette, and a doorway leading back into a bedroom. There was a string of christmas lights laying across the floor, lit up and blinking, leading into the kitchen area where a pair of legs were sticking out. No shoes, just some pale wiggling toes and a soft hum of, "Jingle bells.. jingle bells.. jingle all the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay..."

At some point in the singing his song had changed. "Batman smells.. robin laid an eeeegg. Batmobile lost it's wheel andthe joker got away..."

His head peeked out. "HEY!" Yep. Bix. Looking suprisingly alive and rosey cheeked. In fact his eyes were huge. Was that... JOY in the air?

"EVA!" The albino hunter leapt up, clad in a red and green Ninja Turtles tee shirt (it was the only red and green he had), and practically ran across the room to pick up the other hunter and hug her.

Bix put her down and scratched his head, feeling sheepish suddenly as if having a moment of clarity. "Well first, I hope you are alright.. I'm not dead now but I was." He took a breath, he'd clearly told this story a lot. "I don't know how or why."

After an exhale he pursedhis lips again and looked at the christmas lights. "And today Ariane and I were sucked through a portal, where we were working a Christmas retail store. Don't ask." He took another breath and then let out a joyous grin as the JOY washed back over him fully. Everything was wonderful.

"And Christmas is just.. awesome right?"

"That is what I like to hear." FINGER GUN. "I was just gonna decorate a bit. Since we can't get off island, I had to scrounge around." Bix moved back to the Christmas lights and poked them with his toe.

"My dorm is pretty.. absent of decoration." It was just white walls apart from the furniture and his shelves of comics and figures. Of course right now everything had a nice tinge of red and green. He could swear he heard sleigh bells.

"Don't judge me.. but I think I'm hallucinating." He snickered but sounded aware of the situation. Odd.

"Well everything is red and green." Bix grinned, cheeks very rosey. "And I swear I can hear sleigh bells constantly. Sugar plums dancing.." He snickered a moment. "Funny thing is I don't know what a sugar plum looks like so... they are just plums covered in sugar with wings, bobbing around."

They came and then they went. He got a stupidly pleased look while he watched his hallucination come and then disappear.

"TREE!" He exclaimed late, finger pointing her again. "Help me hang these lights and then we can go look!"

"No I swear." Bix seemed to want to talk but his body was driving himto decorate. He pulled over a folding chair, tapped it so she could stand on it, and went to fetch the thumbtacks, tape and the end of the light strong. "Seriously was just walking around, nothing weird besides being me," and all that came with that, "I was sneaking up on Ariane to give her a spook and BAM. Portal to christmas retail."

He handed Eva the lights and then started to walk backwards. Apparently these were just going along the seam of the wall meeting ceiling. "How're you?" A moment of visual clarity brought on a calmer looking Bix, at least until his hallucinations kicked back in. "Everything... well?"

He'd found that since his 'death' things had not been great, people had not been well and for the most part he'd been given a ton of s**t for being a live. It was tough to be Bix right now.

"Well I hate to think I was keeping you down." He frowned but knew itcouldn't be helped."Hey is... Gale good? I saw him we sort of argued.." the red and green was easy to ignore but the snowballs whizzing through his vision made him flinch a moment. "But then I saw him in the infirmary and I think everything is good now."

Bix stood back to look up at the lights. There were a few plastic candy canes to hang on the walls so he went for those next. He was also clearly leaving room for a tree if they found one.

"But.. I worry about him. He can get so down, so negative and self deprecating.." Bix idly hummed silent night a moment. The gap between the JOY and reality was a bit odd. "I don't like him down there by himself in that house so..." upset all the time.
