So, Who Are We?
Naturally, you don't want to jump into a long term relationship with a random stranger!
The female creature is Pinkiekitty. She will be playing the Mad Hatter. She often dresses her avi like a boy/androgyne, and collects crazy socks, Pokemon cards, and music boxes. She often says things that don't make sense. She likes to say words. Lots of words. Just smile and nod.
The male creature is A Glass Passenger. We call him Moo. Is there a "Moo" in the name "A Glass Passenger"? No! But does that matter? Not at all! He will be playing Peter Pan. He's off on magical sea adventures (he's on the Coast Guard!), but we'll hear about his adventures, and he'll be back during Christmas!
We'll be partying in a big old treehouse! No doubt commandeered from a bunch of kids… But a treehouse none the less! Welcome to the treehouse of imagination and madness!
Edit: So, what kind of characters would be here? Well, both Pan and Hatty have a certain energy about them… So perhaps a character that would work well with that energy!
Note: We all love Alice in Wonderland characters. I sure do, I'm the Hatter! But keep in mind that many other people will be wanting Alice in Wonderland characters too. So feel free to request one, but have a good backup plan in case you don't get your first choice!
Aww, you make me feel warm and fuzzy! But first, what is a cohost, anyway? Well, if you have any questions, refer to this awesome FAQ I stole borrowed!

What is a co-host? A co-host is someone who staffs a room during the ball. There are generally three to five co-hosts in each room, although a room may have more or fewer, depending on the situation in each particular room. A co-host will have an official character, and direct the flow of the roleplay along with the room host and secondary host during the ball. Co-hosts will be expected to help in the planning of the room, though they will not have as much responsibility as the room host and secondary host. They may or may not be asked to run a game or contest during the ball.
How can I apply? Each room has a subforum. They are the ones with host names and themes written on them. If you look in each room, there will be an application form. These are relatively short, easy forms. After each room thinks they have enough applicants and have given everyone ample time to apply, the room hosts and secondary hosts will work together to choose who they want to work with them in their room.
Is it alright to apply in more than one room? Most people usually apply in two rooms, just in case they don't get accepted as a co-host in their first choice for a room. Having more than three applications out will be a nuisance to the rooms, so please don't put more than that in. You could also apply in just one room if you don't think you have enough competition to warrant putting in another application. Room hosts tend to choose people who are active and friendly first. Don't feel bad if you don't get chosen in one room you wanted. There are usually more great and wonderful applicants for a room than there are positions available. Since each room will choose their co-hosts at different times, make sure you let the other rooms where you applied know right away if you are accepting a co-host position in another room.
Can I be a co-host in more than one room? The answer to this is no. You may only be a co-host in one room. The News Room has different rules, and you can find out more about the News Room by posting in the chatting thread in the News Room subforum. Remember, being a co-host in one room will not exclude you from helping out in the News Room.
What else do I need to know? Each room is different, and each co-host experience will be different. You might be asked to leave your comfort zone a bit, but rest assured that no one is going to throw you out to the wolves. This is a fun experience, so don't stress too much about what you think you can and can't do. If you don't think you'll be able to commit to being a co-host, ask around in the rooms. You might be able to get a position as an NPC or something. Everything always works out in the end.
I didn't get accepted into the rooms I applied in. Don't be discouraged. You can still be accepted as an official room roleplayer. For more information on what that is keep reading:
I was told that I'm an Official Room Roleplayer. What does that mean? It can be a bit hazardous to have too many official characters in one room, so rooms set limits to how many co-hosts they can accept. Anyone who didn't get chosen as a co-host and is still interested in working in a particular room can become an Official Room Roleplayer. If you become one, you will still participate in the planning, but you will not have a character and a regular part in the plot like the co-hosts. However, lots of things can change over the course of a year, and these roles often get changed up as people leave for one reason or other. Often, Official Room Roleplayers eventually end up being co-hosts or NPCs by the end, but remember that it's not always a certain thing. If you really want to stay in a particular room, embrace your role as an Official Room Roleplayer. If you want to be a co-host right away and don't care which room you're in, you can still apply in other rooms that are taking applications. Note, you don't have to give up your role to TRY for another role. You just have to give up the old one if you successfully obtain a new one that you like better.
I missed the co-host applications! Can I still be a co-host? Yes! Regardless of when you apply, you'll always have a chance. People drop out of the ball all year long for various reasons, so there are always gaps that need to be filled. If you're not sure which rooms need extra help, just ask in here. We can point you in the right direction.

When are you on?:: When the ball isn't around, I'm only on for about an hour. When the ball comes around, things change. I'm usually on for about two to three hours a night anywhere between 3-8 PM.
Any major conflicts?:: Every other weekend I am at my father's. He doesn't have internet at the moment, but in a couple weeks he should. So for now, that stands in the way as a conflict.
Past Experience:: My first time with the ball was probably the strangest. I just asked what needed to be done for the 8th and they said they needed me to fill in as a last minute host. I worked the news room/plot update room as Hermes. It was such an honor. The 9th and 10th I cohosted in with Haus D'Amour and the Whimsical Dream room. I did one of the monthly/seasonal events with the ball last year, as well. I wanna say it was the June event or somewhere around that monthly span.
Out-of-Ball Experience:: I'm a Thespian. Thinking on my toes and being the role of someone else is what I do best! I'm also one of the original founding members of my school's Gay Straight Alliance.
Desired Characters:: 1) Christine (Phantom of the Opera), 2) Tom Sawyer (Mark Twain), 3) Hansel and Gretel (Grimm's Fairy Tales) {That last one I have a humorous idea for since our fall production this year was Brother's Grimm Spectaculathon. I could also do both Hansel and Gretel.}

When are you on?:: I will be on more than 1 hour a day. I will definitely get some time in the morning (ugh... around 6am), then some time in the afternoon/evening (probably around 2-3pm and 7-9pm).
Any major conflicts?:: I am doing college applications right now, so there might be a huge disappearance around the end of December, where I'm filling applications and writing essays like mad. Also, from 6:30-8:30pm I have Taekwondo, which I do about three times a week, days are variable. Also, I have piano practice at a ridiculously early hour on Saturdays. And now you know my schedule.
Past Experience:: Urgh, practically nothing. I roleplayed in the Camp NSTG thing, and I've done tons of art stuff, and roleplayed in each of the balls since... Greek Gods, I think.
Out-of-Ball Experience:: I can bake some mean macarons! Um, but seriously. If I say anything, I'll feel like I'm writing another college application.
Desired Characters:: Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Rapunzel, Jay Gatsby (Or Daisy, for that matter) (ugh, that was four, wasn't it?)
Your strengths:: Um. I am rather good at being sophisticated characters, because I like to use long words and proper grammar. I'm supportive and cheerful, so I would be... good for morale? That didn't really come out how I liked, but the message is clear. I research well, which is helpful especially in this ball, when we have an absolute menagerie of characters.
Your weaknesses:: I get busy. Often. I never really disappear, but there come times when I don't have time to post. It usually only lasts a couple of days, and only once every couple of months, but it's pretty bad. Also, I like creating new things and making new ideas, but I have problems keeping things up, if that makes sense. Sometimes, I get insecure and start asking lots of questions, or don't ask questions because I'm afraid the answer's obvious.

When are you on?:: I am online a LOT. Usually from noon until 2-3am. Though I do disappear for meals or small breaks.
Any major conflicts?:: As of right now I have class every Wednesday, Winter- I am still trying to get classes for, and in Spring is when I shall be attending full time. So as of right now I am free but I know I will start to become busy in Spring.
Past Experience:: I participated in the 10th ball as a roleplayer. Once there I became hooked and couldn't stay away. I was in the dream ship room♥ I am not as active in the Cafe roleplay as I once was but that was due to it being the constant thing over and over sweatdrop Though I adored the Halloween event and had a blast playing a mermaid.
Out-of-Ball Experience:: I do roleplay a lot outside of the ball, both on Gaia and out of Gaia. I try to keep everything semi-lit atleast.
Desired Characters:: I'd like the March Hare, Alice, or Daisy.
Your strengths:: Literacy, imagination, knowing my character's personality well.
Your weaknesses:: Sometimes slow in response so I miss a few things and have to re-edit, can take me a few posts to get the rythmn of things, sometimes I get a little confused with things like who is where and such.
You're done. What do you have to say for yourself?:: I know Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by heart :3 Not to mention the cartoon Disney movie by heart with lines, music, and sounds.
Your Time Zone:: Ugh, I suck at figuring this out...East Coast
When are you on?:: I am on 5 days a week for at least 1 hour, usually more.
Any major conflicts?:: I work during the day, and sometimes teach classes in evenings/afternoons and on weekends. My schedule is fairly flexible though and as long as I know dates in advance, I can avoid conflicts.
Past Experience:: I helped with art during the 8th, art during 9th, co-hosted and did sig. art for the whole room for 10th.
Out-of-Ball Experience:: Artist, sadly not graphics. I am learning to RP and I am good at being bossy when it calls for it. I also enjoy running games/contests and giving away prizes.
Desired Characters:: (Pick three characters you think you want to be. Don't pick anything that's already been claimed by the hosts or secondaries. You can pick something another cohost has picked, and we'll dispute it later.) Jim Hawkings, Mr. Darcy or Ishmael...I could also be a female character but I prefer male.
Your strengths:: I am enthusiastic, I tend to check in every day (dedicated) and every now and then I come up with good ideas.
Your weaknesses:: I have a tendency to procrastinate with art (though in my defense I have never been late with Ball art!) I don't know much about graphics or setting up threads, I am fairly new at RPing.
