Ahadi had honestly been worrying about Fia since his last encounter with her. It was an interesting thing to admit but it as pretty true. He was super worried about her and he really just wanted to find her and make sure that she was okay. In his mind at the same time he really didn't want to make the lioness feel like he was trying to be in her business or 'suffocate' her to a point. He just really wanted to make sure that she was okay but at the same time he knew that she was upset and it would take her some time to get through what was going on and eventually she would be okay but for now he was going to wait.
But he was wandering the pride taking a break from guarding. He was pretty tired that was for sure he just wanted to relax and not do much of anything but at the same time he had a feeling that wasn't going to happen. He just wanted to sit around and relax but he had this odd feeling that that wasn't what was going to happen. He wasn't that sure of why he was having that feeling but he had it and he wished that it would go away because he just wanted a nap. And yet his feelings were correct. As he wandered he heard an odd noise that made him wonder? Was it some one crying? He wasn't that sure. He slowed down and started to wander toward the noise and that is when he noticed. It was Fia, and she was crying. His ears flattened and he quietly started to wander toward the lioness. "Are you okay?" His voice was quiet.

Fia had not left her den since that incident a few days back, huddled in the dark, slipping in and out of sleep. Being awake seemed like a struggle now a days but sleeping wasn't all it was cracked up to be, either. The ghosts of lions leapt in and out of her dreams, whispering to her in their haunted, hollow voices. They seemed afraid and, when she tried to help them, dark shadows reached up to drag them out of reach and they slipped through her claws like water.
Like water...
She was so thirsty.
The tears had been hard to come at first, as if jammed and unable to set themselves loose down her face. And today was the first day they had broken free. It hurt. It hurt so bad to cry, as if each shuddering sob was shattering her heart. So, when the voice came unexpectedly, she first thought it was one of those ghosts, come to torment her during her waking hours. She didn't look up, her face buried between her forepaws. When she spoke her voice was muffled.
"Just leave me alone." She choked. "Why won't you leave me alone?"

In all honesty Ahadi wasn't that surprised by her reaction. He wasn't surprised one bit, he honestly saw it coming. He had a feeling she would be upset and he also had a feeling that he would want her to go away and do something different. But yet he sat there quietly, not exactly that sure of what to do, but he didn't really want to turn around and do something else. He smiled to her quietly and then started to move toward her even though he didn't know what she was going to do.
"Well even though you don't want me to I care about you a lot. And I want to make sure that you're okay." He said simply with a nod. He couldn't help it, he just wanted the lioness to be okay and he had a feeling that she didn't really want him to help but she was going to tryot help anyway.

It took her a moment - perhaps longer than it should have - to realise that it was not a ghost at all, but a living, breathing lion who she knew. When she did realise it, she did her best to smother down her emotion and put on a brace (or in her case, angry) face.
She whirled to face him, swiping out with a paw. This time, however, the claws were not out and it was meant as a warning for him to keep his distance. She'd never been very good at letting others take care of her. And she wasn't about to start now. "Care?" She scoffed, eyes narrowing. "Well, I'm so glad that my actions have led to your endearment." Her tone suggested that she felt the exact opposite about that. "Now. If you don't want to end up like Azar I suggest you get out."
Fia had come to regret many things but scarring up the corporal's face was not one of them. That had been a long time coming. Nevertheless, the shame of what she had been intending to do was great. Azar had been right about that. What had she really thought she could do to avenge those she had loved and lost?
Nothing.
And it hurt.

"No." Ahadi insisted right off the bat shaking his head at her before flopping down on his haunches shaking his head at her. "I care because no one else seems to. Or at least that is what you seem to think." He really knew that she wanted wanted to be along but he wasn't about to do that. There was something wrong and he knew it. He wasn't that sure of what to do with himself. He really, really wanted to do it he wanted to help her, and he could see that no one else seemed to be trying. Or at least as far as he could see. There was something about her that made him want to help her. he wasn't sure how he was going to do it but he was going to try.
"Well if you're going to tear up my face go for it." He said simply shaking his head, he remembered seeing cubs do that, they knew they wouldn't get anywhere. "It won't matter because I'm not going until you talk, what were you doing the other day?

"Plenty of people care." Fia spat. Her family, for one. She was choosing to stay out of their line of sight at the moment. They had enough to worry without thinking one of their own blood was going off on suicide missions. And as Ahadi mentioned the so called 'suicide mission' her brows tightened together and she glowered at him. He was pushing his luck but she kept herself where she was, her paws pressed firmly against the ground.
"I don't have to say anything to you. Nor anyone. I don't have to justify my actions. I did what I did and that's that."
But she hadn't been thinking. She'd been fuelled by a desire to do something. She'd felt rage. Rage at the enemy but mostly at herself. Twice now she had lost and both times she had been unable to do anything about it. Both times she's given up the chance to say goodbye to the ones who had gone. Poor little Nur'yu who she'd always called a 'pain'. And then her teacher who she'd yelled at even as she was dying on the sands. Fia wasn't good at grieving.
"So if you want some poor damsel in distress to rescue, go elsewhere. I don't need your help."

As Ahadi looked at her and then thought about what she was saying. He was also trying to figure out what he was going to do with her. He was thinking quietly and hoping that she wouldn't get any more angry with him. He knew that she was already getting annoyed at him but as he was thinking about it but he knew that he could hopefully diffuse the situation a little. He thought for a little and then paused before speaking to her. "do you honestly think if I was looking for a damsel in distress, I would start with you?" He asked her in all seriousness, He knew that she was the opposite of one that was for sure and actually her strong personality was what was making him curious about her. He was also upset by her current actions though.

She hissed at him, baring her teeth in a sure sign that she would bit ehim if he continued to provoke her though he was only trying to show some comfort. Fia had had enough now. She was angry and grieving and desperate;y unhappy. Feeling powerless was the worst, though.
She could handle the grief and the rage if she knew it would get her somewhere. Achieve something other than her mad follies.
Shifting her body, she turned her back to him, determined to not say another word.

Ahadi looked toward Fia at this point he really wasn't that sure of what to do anymore. He really wasn't that sure at all. He kind of wanted to go and try to get her to cheer up but he knew no matter waht he was going to do it didn't seem like she was going to do anything with him. His tail flicked around behind him as he thought about it, he wasn't that sure of what to think at all.

And there was nothing he could do. She would not talk again - would refuse to. Nor would she acknowledge him. She was silent now, unmoving as if made from stone. And perhaps a part of her was, the emotion cut out of her so that she was left as she was now. A hollow wreck that had been left to wallow after her actions. After her grief. And, as empty as stone, she gave no other sign that she noticed whether he stayed or went.
If time was a healer, time would come slowly for her, Fia believed.
If it came at all.
