Name:Kharmeen Age: 18 Turns Gender: male Sexual Orientation: Straight Craft/Rank: Apprentice Weaver History: Kharmeen was born to a small family holding outside Eron hold to Khassern and Annata, 18 Turns ago. His family is compromised of mostly fishers and weavers who specialized in fishing needs. Kharmeen learned both crafts early on, along with all his other siblings and cousins. His early life was fairly standard. Working to make sure the holding prospered, Kharmeen worked with his father on the sea and his mother at night with her weaving. In fact, as he grew, he became close with his cousin, Ahmenna.
Then it happened. The dragons were always around but never really in their lives. When they went to Gathers, you would see some greens or blues, occasionally the larger dragons. But then, they started showing up looking for some sort of weed and bugs. More than once, they would have someone dropping by asking questions or taking hospitality. With successful clutches at Trine and around, Kharmeen assumed with others that things were returning to normal. Yet, Eron hold kept guards on their tithes and were ever present. The dolphins warned that Thread was returning. Kharmeen was drilled in how to use a knife and be silent in the shadows. And it was a good thing as well.
Betrayal struck.
While Eron hold was never attacked, the Lord there feared for the safety of his people. He asked for volunteers to come and stay several moons to make sure that no rogues would come and try to take them over. Assigned with a guard unit along with other men from his family, Kharmeen made several friends with riders who dropped in to make sure that the outlaying holders and craftsmen were taken care of; it was suggested that he stand the next time eggs were on the Sands. And so, he goes with Ahmeena to see where his fate lies.
Description: At 5'11", Kharmeen comes from a family of tall and sturdy men. In fact, it is a joke in the family if you are shorter than your father is. His skin is deeply tanned from working on the fishing boats and has odd lighter scars on his arms and hands from working with nets and ropes. His build is medium, sturdy. Kharmeen's muscle is not for show, being able to haul catches, nets, barrels and whatever else was necessary to get the work done. His eyes are a lighter brown that stand out against his tanned skin and his hair is a deeper brown with red highlights from the sun. He keeps it short to his collar so that it doesn't interfere or get caught on any equipment. He can't get the story of a man getting scalped from having long hair out of his mind. Kharmeen prefers to wear browns and blues. His favorite outfit being dark brown pants, a lighter cream colored shirt with blue bandana to keep the sweat out his face and dark blue boots. His nose is slightly crooked from being broken as a youth.
Personality: You know that tree that has weathered every major storm and seen all changes? A good analogy to Kharmeen. He tends to remain calm and stand steady no matter what the challenge. Taught at an early age that everyone pitches in and does their own for the greater good, Kharmeen has no problems helping others and being the solid rock they need to steady themselves on. Because of this, sometimes his elders would pair him with another who was under performing or not sure of themselves. Kharmeen is an adept teacher though he can get a little frazzled when someone doesn't pick up on a skill as quickly as he does. Then his tone may turn almost snappish and curt. Soft-spoken with a deep voice, Kharmeen is also a deep thinker who doesn't speak until he feels the need to-in that way, he is quite the opposite of Ahmenna. However, once moved to anger and passion, Kharmeen will hold onto those emotions until he feels he has been redeemed or allowed to vent his full fury.
Kharmeen doesn't like strangers. And he certainly doesn't like outsiders poking their noses where they don't belong. He can be extremely stubborn in letting others in and trusting his instincts to guide him better than what others tell him. After all, a fisher has to trust himself when faced with an unknown sea. But once that trust is earned and given, it is kept in the highest regard. And woe to those who betray him or his family. While he may not be able to exact the vengeance he wants, Kharmeen will do his best to be cold and make things hard.
Virtues: Strong, calm and level-headed, loyal, hard-working Vices: Bears grudges, suspicious, impatient with slower/lazy people
Other: Again, I left the history vague due to trying to catch back up. Kharmeen does have limited training as a guard during the uprisings. And he mostly came to keep an eye on his older cousin.

Hia!
He looks fine to me! My only point with him is the same history issue as Ahmenna. If you can alter that he'll be good to go!
