Mist Hunter The Miss Taken Tower General Information As the general, jack-of-all trades division, the Mist Hunter training course is a combination of the other divisions' training challenges and also one of the more complicated. The goal of this course is to rescue the princess in the tower. Below her, you'll find yourself confronted with a number of shadowling attackers, and beyond them, a room of only slightly deadly traps. But even should you reach her location, you still need to pick the lock on the manacles holding her in place. Unskilled fiddling with the locks will prove unhealthy for both the princess and yourself. And once that's done, you need to make your way back down through the traps and shadowlings, defending the princess the whole way.
The Miss Taken Tower is one of the most challenging and frustrating courses available.
If you fail: your princess dies, and you are quite possibly KO'd. Senior hunters are observing and will make with a timely rescue as needed.
If you win: the princess will adore you for the rest of her exceedingly brief existence. Peen points for 100% health for you and the Princess, shadowlings fought, going for consecutive rescues.
Part 1 Mechanics - roll your regular attack - roll your regular attack again - if you miss an attack, you lose 50% of your full HP - if you have an available recovery bonus, you may try to use that to avoid HP loss

01. horrible death 02. - 50% HP 03. - 50% HP 04. live 05. live 06. - 50% HP 07. horrible death 08. - 50% HP 09. horrible death 10. live

There was really only one training set left, only one more thing for Ofelia to really get up and do. She was certified on everything else, having spent the time and effort to even do a few twice with Jake, and now she decided that the best way to work out any and all frustrations would be to complete the Mist Course. Everything else had been easy, except for maybe Deathsweeper and horrible Life Jenga, so now it was all just down to her getting things done.
As she entered into the tower the first thing that happened was the abundance of shadowlings. Rue was quickly summoned and held out, leaving the teen ready to take down the first wave. Only a few came out, namely one large one, and the redhead smirked as she lunged herself at it. within no short amount of time it was down and she started forward, running towards the stairs. Apparently another wave was coming and she'd need to make it through that as well, but there were no worries.
Ofelia could easily handle small shadows, right?

She wasn't as ready as she thought she was and Ofelia was taken off-guard as a swarm of them got to her and tore at her. It was through sheer luck that she managed to jump over most of them and continue up the stairs though she knew (and could see) a few more of them waiting at the top. Thankfully she was able to get pass them without too much fuss, mostly in the same way as before, and the teen hurried up and opened the door to the next level set.
As soon as she saw it her jaw dropped, and she remembered why everyone said that Mists had to be jacks of all trades.Status Stage: 1, wave 2 Your HP: 50 Princess HP: 20/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: - [ used to pass stage ] Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: - Stage 4 Bonus HP: -

It was a horrible case of Deathsweeper all over again, this time not as large as a board though and not needing nearly as many steps, and the teen wondered if her luck would hold out for her just enough to get across. She wasn't in a golem so she really didn't want to die this way.
Of course that meant she wasn't paying attention, instead she was looking at her goal and not the path there. Ofelia barely had time to register that the tile she'd stepped on had given out beneath her before there was a flash of black and white and the sound of her own screaming in her ears.
Thankfully one of the hunters on duty had gotten to her before anything serious could happen, but she was still shaken up. Also she was pissed off before she had to start from the bottom all over again.

Still feeling unhappy from having nearly tasted death at the hands of the second floor, Ofelia entered back into the tower with a strong determination that she wasn't going to have to keep repeating everything. When the wave of shadowlings came up to her she kicked a few aside with her foot before punching into the others, a feral roar of move the ******** outta my way escaping from her lungs.
This was no time for playing games.

She was almost to the top, completely free of the little shadow creatures that attacked at her ankles and heels, when one of them managed to get hold of her. Ofelia wasn't pleased, she totally tore into the little thing like it was going out of style, and as soon as it was gone she kicked her way up and into the next room.
This time she was going to pass or so help her she'd scream.

Ofelia didn't bother to take a step this time, she didn't want to depend on stepping everywhere to get herself across, and the teen took a few moments to jump in place before she launched herself across the room.
It got her onto a safe panel, one that she didn't have to flail to stay on, and she breathed a wondrous sigh of relief to know there was only one more step-jump she needed to do.

Ofelia was almost to the exit when she noticed her jump was going to land her short. She staggered, trying to shift her weight in the air, but still managed to come down on what looked to be a mountain of rusty bear traps and nails. An unhappy groan escaped from her lips as she landed, all the wonderful tetanus items digging into her shield like children in a candy store, but thankfully from there all she had to do was reach and she'd make it to the next level.
Surely no more death on that level, right? That would be amazing.Status Stage: 2, step 2 Your HP: 25 Princess HP: 20/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: 1 Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: 1 Stage 4 Bonus HP: -

The princess was in the room above her and Ofelia got the door open just in time to see the golem was. . . .
. . . .Rep.
If it wasn't for the fact she was sort of timing herself to get this done quickly or the whole need to not die during it she would have laughed her a** off then and there. Instead Ofelia got to work trying to take the manacles off, doing her best to go slow so nothing happened. The one on the left wrist popped off easily.
My hero. Rep-Princess said. Ofelia tried not to choke on her spittle.Status Stage: 3, left manacle Your HP: 25 Princess HP: 20/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: 1 Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: 1 Stage 4 Bonus HP: -

Same as the first, Ofelia popped the lock and her Princess was free without any damage. It was looking good so far, all they had to do now was go...back down...and well that was always easier than going up right?
Without any hesitation she grabbed her princess and started down the stairs.Status Stage: 3, right manacle Your HP: 25 Princess HP: 20/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: 1 Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: 1 Stage 4 Bonus HP: -

When the door to the last level was finally opened the redheaded hunter was not really prepared to be as overwhelmed with shadowlings as she had been the first time. They came at her, at her Princess, and she needed to defend her and get her out.
Rue was summoned, loud and screaming, and the pair charged downward as Rep-Princess causally strolled down the steps behind.Status Stage: 4, shadowling protection Your HP: 25 Princess HP: 20/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: 1 Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: 1 Stage 4 Bonus HP: -

While Ofelia didn't do as well as she would have liked, her princess still taking some hits from the shadows, the pair of them managed to make it all the way to the end without any further difficulty. Rue was dismissed as soon as the last of the shadows were gone, her screaming fading from inside Ofelia's skull, and the redhead turned to look at Rep-Princess.
"That was fun, wasn' it?" She grinned and the Ptype golem turned to look back at her. "Ah'm wonderin' if we should try it 'gain sometime."
Anything you'd like my love, my wonderful amazing Prince who has saved me many a time. Rep-Princess motioned dramatically, his voice booming in the hollow area. Ofelia was so sorely tempted to get her camera out and record all of it, this was too beautiful, but she kept her cool and kept it under. Shall I see you later then, if you are to leave me now? I wish you would stay, our parting is too sweet.
It was then that Ofelia laughed her a** off and had to leave before she collapsed from an inability to breathe.Status Stage: 4, shadowling run Your HP: 25 Princess HP: 14/20 Stage 1 Recoveries: 1 Stage 2 Flags and Instincts: 1 Stage 4 Bonus HP: -
