It'd been a while since she'd gone ribbon hunting so, naturally, Aggie had decided to do just that when she had a free moment.

Which turned out to be now; all her homework had been taken care of, she'd gone out patrolling just yesterday and she felt confident enough in the progress she'd made on her personal project that an afternoon spent relaxing shouldn't be too devastating.

All in all, things were working out for Aggie Thorsen, as she went through the shelves of hair accessories, humming a happy little tune under her breath. Now all she needed to do was find an amazing pair of ribbons, and everything would be just perfect!

Esme didn't quite have the same hobby as Aggie held, but it made no difference! It was about high time that that girl finally went out and made herself feel good. Maybe for her next Maripo date, she'd deck herself all up in ribbons and be so irresistible and.. and... oh my gooooosh... heeeee~ blush, blush.

Regardless of her intentions, Esme Blanchard found herself in the same part of the city, the same street, the same store, the same aisle, the same BIN of ribbons as Aggie. The girl blinked as she looked up into the girl's hair, bedecked in all sorts of ribbon madness. THIS WAS ESME'S LUCKY DAY.

"Oh my gosh your hair is sooo cute!" the girl squeaked in introduction.

Aggie had faintly noticed someone coming up on her side, but in her great concentration to find The Perfect Ribbon, she hadn't given it much thought. Which rather explained the little jump she gave as the other person squealed... about her hair? "Oh, um, me?" The redhead looked a bit baffled, pointing at herself with a ribbon in her hand - the rest she'd been holding had fallen to the floor, forgotten for now.

"Ahahaha, yeah, you! Uhm, sorry. I didn't mean to startle you." Esme bent down to retrieve the ribbons that Aggie had dropped. "It's just that, uh, I really like your hair and I want some pointers!" The teen held out the ribbons to her. "I kinda want to impress a boy I really like, but I've never really done my hair before so I'm kinda clueless. Do you, ah, I mean would you mind? Maybe just some hints or I dunno, something?"

Aggie's expression softened into a smile of understanding. That was a cause she could get behind! "It's totally fine, d-don't worry! It happens." She took the ribbons the younger girl was holding out and started putting the ones she'd already looked at back in their place, thinking of how she could help. "What kind of p-pointers, exactly? 'cause, um, your hair looks really pretty already -" an admiring glance went to the pinkette's locks, "- but I could recommend some hair treatments, if you want? T-those are always good."

She scrunched her nose, thinking of what else she could help with. "I don't really know all that many hairstyles 'cause I tend to just stick to this one," a hand went to tug at one of her pigtails, "but I can try to help you if you want?"

They were pretty much in the ideal place for this kind of talk, really. A discussion about hair in a store that specialized in hair products? Couldn't get a better fit than that.

"Ahhh.. thanks!" The girl blushed and rubbed her neck. What a nice girl this was! "I guess so? I mean, I don't really use anything in my hair, other than some nice fruity shampoos and conditioners. I don't like putting hairspray in it or anything unless I have to. I guess it makes it softer without all that extra stuff in it? Do you know what I mean?"

She turned to look down at the ribbons again. So many colors and different kinds and flavors. What would Maripo like, if any of them? "Ahahahaha, I tend to stick to this hairstyle too." Esme held up a purple ribbon edged with gold. "I guess I'm sounding kind of difficult but, anything will help! Like, would this look good?"

"Ohh yeah, definitely!" Aggie nodded vigorously, "I used a lot more hairspray for this hairstyle when I was younger, and sometimes my hair just looked really, um, stringy and a bit greasy. But I mean, once you learn h-how much is too much and find some good products for your hair, it's not so bad anymore!" Although it'd taken a lot of trial and error for her to get to that point, she was glad she'd persisted long enough to learn all the lessons. Well. Some of the lessons - the redhead was admittedly no hair guru, by far.

Aggie surveyed the purple and gold ribbon that the other girl held up, before rummaging quickly through the bin and holding up another ribbon, this one in the same purple colour, but with a silver border instead of gold. "This one might be better, I think. S-silver would look better on you than gold would." Cocking her head to the side, she squinted at the pinkette's hair, "Smaller ribbons would be good too, I think! You could make some sort of like, fancy up-do and braid a ton of them in." In her mind, she could just imagine the other girl sweeping into an expensive restaurant with a hairstyle like that and beautiful clothes.

Esme nodded as the girl gave her pointers. Even if Aggie was no hair guru, Esme felt differently! Aggie was surely the hair guru to end all hair gurus. The seer of hair and ribbon wisdom. The goddess of tresses. Aggie would be the savior of Esme's lovelife. .... well okay, not REALLY. But it would certainly help!

"Oh okay. Silver is better than gold." She glanced between the ribbon that her new friend held and the hair that fell over one shoulder. Hmmm... yeah, she could see that! "Omigosh, like.. tons of braids? I don't even know how to do that on my own!" The thought made her dizzy. Maybe she could teach her. Hopefully. Oh gosh.

"Oh." Aggie blinked - that was a good point. "I guess that m-might be a bit hard to do on your own, huh?" Scratching an itch on her arm, she thought for a second, "maybe just like... one big braid down your back, then? A loose one with a simple simple ribbon could look good. That I could definitely teach you!" She nodded, smiling enthusiastically at the idea, and waved a hand to dismiss the earlier one; "all the little braids and ribbons-up do, y-you'd probably have to get a hairdresser to show you, or like... the internet. You could probably learn it there, too!" It'd recently occurred to Aggie just how much one could actually learn from the internet, and she was willing and able to spread the gospel.

"But a big braid with a ribbon, I could show you that. Um, if you want...?" She could probably also show the younger girl some fancy hairstyles with other hair accessories, but one thing at a time.

"Omigosh, yes please! Yes yes yes!" Esme squealed. That would be amazing. "I mean, I guess I could look all of this stuff on the internet but it wouldn't be as.. hands-on!" Plus, she just really wanted a friend! More friends were good. More friends were definitely, definitely good. "Do you want to come over? Oh, or maybe you could show it here? I don't mind where!"

Esme could barely contain her excitement. And who could really blame her? New friend + impressing Nicolae? SO. AWESOME.
