Eliza frowned in confusion as she walked through the isles of Destiny City Library, not really sure what exactly what she wanted to take home to read, so she was unsure where she look.
In her arms she held a history book, for her history project, as well as book about kittens, as having three kittens was a lot of work and she wanted to make sure she was doing a good job. Also they couldn't go outside and she wasn't use to having cats a foot all day because most of her life she lived on a farm.
Sighing she headed for the science fiction and fantasy sections, deciding it would nice to read something out of this world or fanciful. She wasn't sure if she wanted to read about princess and dragons or ghost and hauntings. She grinned walking into the science fiction section first and browsing the shelves slowly and meticulously, smiling briefly each times she passed over a book she already read.

The sci fi/fantasy section of the library was Gabe's favorite place. He was browsing, right then, looking for titles that caught his eye. He had a small bundle in his arms, and was passing them into a bag he always brought with him. His library visits ever ended in more books than he could carry.
When he looked up from the shelf for a brief moment, he was surprised to see a familiar face in the section. "Eliza?" The greeting was quiet, so as not to disturb other library patrons.

Eliza turned at the quiet greeting not really having expected to see anyone in the library. She grinned when she saw Gabe with a bunch of book and waved excitedly dropping a couple of her own books in the process.
"Whoop," she said bending down to scoop up the books, "hi Gabe. How have you been? Have you tried swimming as opposed to jogging? Haven't been able to go myself, but I think I get enough exercising myself."
She laughed lightly for a moment trying not to be loud. Eliza was a very excitable girl, very friendly and sometimes that meant a bit louder than she ought to be. "My mom says I've always been a whirlwind of energy!"

Gabe laughed quietly and walked over to help her pick up her books.
"I've been good; haven't had a chance to try swimming yet but I've been doing more jogging and exercise and it's been getting easier." Rooftop jumping while powered up? Best exercise ever. "I got your message about the kittens; are they doing alright?" He asked.
'Whirlwind of energy' definitely fit with how Gabe would describe his friend. "I can see why she says so. How have you been, besides being the lucky owner of three new cats?"

Eliza smiled at Gabe happy to see her friend. She didn't have many friends outside of her knighthood especially one who didn't think her crazy or immature.
She stood book now securely back in her arms, "it's really good to hear that you are having a easier time of jogging. Too bad though about not being able to go swimming. It's really fun although you have to make sure you dry off all the way now that its cold."
She grinned rocking back on her heels and jostling her books a bit before stopping, "the kittens are just fine. There are 2 boys and a girl. I gave them the cutest names and my landlady said it's okay if I keep them because cats are good mousers and she thinking some got in in the basement of our building. Puck and Hercules, the boys are prissy, but Lenore is like me. I think she will be the one to catch the mice."
Eliza rambled as was Eliza, but she doubted Gabe minded. He had asked hadn't he? She frowned slightly at the other question though and couldn't help but whine. "My H.I.T.S teachers give so much homework. I have to stay up late and get up early to finish it all. I miss my mom too, but Thankgiving is coming up and I get to go home for the holiday. I'm excited, I going to take the kittens with me. They need to see the vet and our farm's vet is the best. It's going to be the best weekend!"

Gabe was in a similar boat; he had few friends regardless, and most were either in MUFON or members of the Negaverse or Dark Mirror Court. It was nice to have a civilian friend to spend time with.
"It's just getting more practice," he said. "I might save swimming for when it gets too warm to jog, though." That reminded him, he'd have to find something to do during the colder months. Maybe he ought to look into joining a martial arts dojo.
"That's great that you're going to be able to keep them!" He said. He would hate to have heard that after discovering something as special as kittens on her roof, she'd have to give them up because of a fussy landlord. "Hope Lenore catches some of those mice for you."
He definitely didn't mind her rambling. Gabe was himself one to talk quite a bit. He nodded along as she explained. "I guess I'm lucky I'm just at Meadowview, we don't get a lot of homework." He said. "But going home for Thanksgiving, that should be nice. I hope everything goes well with the kittens and the vet."

Eliza nodded to Gabe getting more practice, that was definitely the way to make something easier for and on you. She doubted he was getting as tired as the day she had met him. "That makes sense, it will be better in the summer when you don't have to worry you might get sick, but I like to swim all year long." She have a small laugh shifting her books slightly.
"I am really glad I will get to keep them. When I found them I actually forgot to ask if it was okay to keep them. My friend Holi reminded me and I'm so lucky my landlady was okay with me having them." She grinned, her eyes shining, "I bet she will. She's going to be a great mouser."
"That is lucky," she nodded at him. "I'm sure everything will be fine. They need their shots and everything, nothing to big. I'm sure they are nice and healthy."
She moved closer to Gabe looking at one of the books he had with a curious expression, "you excited for thanksgiving break," she asked still inspecting the book.

"Yeah, and when it's really too hot to jog." Gabe said. He'd rather be inside swimming in July than outside jogging. "But I bet it is fun year 'round, as long as it's an indoor pool," he laughed.
"Oh, wow, that is lucky." He said. "Good thing you have a cool landlady, those kittens need somebody to take good care of them!" He said. He was pretty sure Eliza would e a great cat owner, considering she had to ave all kinds of experience with farm animals.
He didn't know a whole lot about taking care of baby animals, having never really had the opportunity (despite begging for a puppy every Christmas in his younger years.) But a routine visit to et shots and such didn't seem like a big deal to him. "Oh, yeah, should be just fine then," he agreed.
"Yeah, pretty excited," he agreed, noting her curious expression and shifting the book in his arms so she could see the cover - Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic Dune. "I'm hoping to do something with my girlfriend, but I think we're both going to be spending time with family." He sighed, sounding thoroughly regretful.

She giggled, "yes it is quite wonderful. I love animals and it is nice to be able to have the kittens in the apartment with me. Its a little lonely by myself you know. I was so use to crystal and having a roommate, H.I.T.S and having an apartment is so different."
She continued to grin always excited to see a friend. Eliza was usually very happy and she liked it when other were happy too. "Aww that sweet and you know even if you can't do something with your girlfriend on thanksgiving you can do something the next day. A bunch of people celebrate thanksgiving over the whole weekend, so you'll have some holiday time I bet."
She read the title of the book and looked up at Gabe, "I don't think I have ever read that before. Where'd you get it from? It looks interesting. I want to read the synopsis, you know on the back."

Gabe nodded. "Yeah, I gotta admit, I'm having trouble with the idea of packing up and moving out myself, even though it's not for a few months. It's great to have some company!"
"Ah, yeah, I'm sure we'll make some kind of plans for the weekend." He grinned. He was pretty sure he'd get plenty of time with Vyth, even if it wasn't on Thanksgiving itself. and if not, well, he'd have to find a way to make time.
"Oh, it's a great book," he said, his attention temporarily diverted. "Here, take a look..." He offered it to her. "I've read it a couple of times, and it can get kinda dense, but Dune's a classic."

Eliza looked up curious at the mention of Gabe moving out. Eliza herself hadn't really moved out per say, it was more like a college student staying at school only her school did have dorms. Her mother still paid her bill and made sure she had food, or at least money for food, so it was very different from what she assumed Gabe was going.
"Moving out is exciting. Do you know where you are moving too? I bet once you are out you will love it and your girlfriend can come keep you company too." She gave one of her happy grins and nodded. "Maybe you can get a pet too."
She looked down to the offered book and took it, quickly devouring the synopsis on the back and grinning handed it back to Gabe. "Is looks great. Do they have another copy. I can check it out and give it a read. You can never read to many good books and I need something no school related, lots of somethings."

"I haven't really made all that many plans yet, but it'll probably have to be somewhere cheap, or somewhere I share with a roommate," he admitted. He didn't exactly have the job skills to afford a place on his own, and he was seriously considering giving up college and dedicating himself as fully as he could to his...other job. "But yeah, I hope she'll visit!" He laughed. "And I might well get a pet, that would be nice."
He took the book back. "Oh, yeah, they've got a couple copies, I guess it's pretty popular as far as sci fi goes. You should definitely check it out!" here was, in his opinion, nothing quite as good as curling up with a good book set in space or the future.

"I think my apartment complex is cheap, but I'm not totally sure since my mom pays for everything still while I'm in school, but I can't image it is to expensive, we are farmers after all." The sold to the local market where they lived, but most of there crop went to larger markets and the farmers market which Eliza missed so much.
"It's sort of like one of those places where you can see everything, my bedroom is up some stair, but it's got no walls. I like it though. The only thing really blocked from view is the bathroom," she laughed lightly and grinned.
"They do allow pets, well um I guess that obvious. Maybe you would want a puppy huh, I've got a little of border collies. Or well mom does, but Im going to ask her if I can give them away to friends this time. Maybe you would want one. Shake and Park's puppies are really great."
Eliza grinned turning to look for the book Gabe had. She wanted to read it and fully intended to check it out. She loved to read and the book he had was right up her alley. She was glad to have run into her friend.

"Oh, maybe I'll look into it when I get ready to move out," Gabe said, almost absently. Eliza certainly made it sound like a great place, and if it was safe for a kid like her, then he should be fine!
The sudden jump from talk of her apartment complex to talk of puppies had him blinking stupidly for a moment, but then, suddenly, he grinned. "How big do border collies get? Because I've always wanted a dog." And if they weren't like, huge he could definitely take one. It would limit his potions for apartments when he got one, but he'd love a fluffy animal companion.

Eliza gave a grin and nodded when Gabe said he would check out her apartment complex. It would be very awesome if they were neighbors, even though Eliza would probably pester Gabe.
She continued to looked for the book, but answered Gabe's question about the dog. "They are medium size dogs, would definitely fit in an apartment, but they need looks of activity and stimulation. They are really great for someone like me who was a lot of energy and an over active imagination, but not really great to a sedentary person, they bore easy and then get destructive."
It was probably more information than he needed, but Eliza would perfer an informed owner as opposed to one who would have to give her puppy back in a few month. "Though I bet a border collie would be a great running companion for you, if your not scared away by how active they are. They are really really smart ... oh here it is," she said pulling out the book Gabe had, "and I guess I'm biased. I really do love them. Had them all my life. Shakespeare, our girl, is a normal black and white with blue eyes, but Baker's Park, our boy, is a blue merle with one brown and one blue eye. They make the most interesting babies."
She pulled a few more interesting books off the shelf and turned back to Gabe, "I think I'm ready to check out. You should grab a book on border collies if you're really interested in one of the puppies."
