Virtus was walking down a long street, head a little downcast. His body felt heavy and he stared at his feet as he walked, not looking up to see where he was going and just altering his path every time he bumped into something.
He was conflicted.
It was difficult for him to feel such heavy emotions. He was usually nice and happy and kind, and it was so much easier to go through life that way. If he did not have to, he did not dwell on the bad things in his world. He lived with rose tinted glasses.
But now he had something he couldn't ignore, and couldn't justify as good and right. He had to hurt people, had hurt people.
Was it really the right thing for him to be doing? Was there another way for him, that would still allow him to fulfill his promise to be a good soldier but not have to hurt someone? He just had to think of something... then everything would be right as rain. He could be happy again, that was the easy part.

"You look like someone ran over your dog, then came back and started kicking the corpse." Realgar hadn't been expecting to run into another Chaos agent, but he hardly objected to it, and he was cautiously curious about the DMC. "So spill, sunshine." He pressed, pulling out his motorcycle keys and spinning them around his finger like a gunslinger on the draw. "Who's knees do you want broken to feel better?" He was a bit oblivious to the irony of the suggestion, letting the keys slap into his gloved palm with a clink and closing his fingers around them. "If you're old enough to drink I'll buy you a beer. Not enough people to share a brew with."

The mental image of someone doing those things was horrifying, and Virtus was not sure how to reply to the very idea that someone could be that mean. Did he really look that sad? He was sending the wrong impression, he didn't want to make anyone else worry!
"I'm sorry! I was just trying to get my head around some stuff and... I guess I wasn't paying attention to what kind of a face I was making." He looked Realgar over with interest, blinking at the keys.
It took him a moment to process the question.
"I wouldn't want to break any knees. That's the problem, I guess, if there is one... I mean. I try to be happy and not complain, honestly. And usually I have nothing to complain about! I think I would like to go and have a drink with you, and talk about it. Maybe that will help."
Though he certainly could not walk into a bar in his current get up. His ID didn't match, obviously. And he looked like he was twelve, so ID, in his mind, was the most important thing. It was nice to be distracted by thoughts like these, at least.
He was a simple creature.

"I'll pick up a couple beers at the seven eleven." Realgar offered, tilting his head slightly in curiosity. For a DMC, the same group that had supposedly tortured Wolframite, this guy reminded him of a puppy who had just been kicked for the first time and wasn't sure what to do about it. Kid had not woken up on the right side of the war for his personality "My bike is parked a bit up the street. I've got a spare helmet. I'll grab a couple beers and we can go sit someplace and kick back. Any kneebreaking comes up, I'll handle it." While he was ok with having other Negaverse agents know where he lived, he still wasn't so sure about the DMC, and didn't want them at home, near his cats.

That made more sense than what Virtus had been thinking, and he nodded his head and smiled appreciatively.
"That's very nice of you."
He really was like a puppy, and would follow anyone who offered a bit of a lead. He trusted easily and was far too difficult to disappoint or upset. Or,usually that was the case. Right now, he was in a weird place that, in itself, he hated and wanted to dig his way out of.
"Have you ever felt like you weren't doing the right thing? I mean, I know I'm doing the right thing, but how I'm doing it... I have to hurt people, but my powers are to heal... and how can I be the senshi of Kindness if I'm punching people in the face..."
He was voicing his thoughts now that he had the chance, though he was more talking to himself and trying to sort things out.

Realgar, about to turn and head toward his parked bike, stopped in his tracks as he considered the question. Unlike Virtus, he didn't have qualms about hurting or being hurt, but seeds of doubt had been planted and they were finding his thoughts to be a fertile place to grow. "I'd watch who you share that with." He warned, though the edge dropped off his tone as he added. "But yeah sometimes" He raised a hand slightly in a 'come on, walk and talk' gesture, and started walking again. "Dunno. Guess Ares thinks the idea of Killing people with Kindness is supposed to be literal?" He shrugged.Not a helpful statement, but he didn't have an answer. He didn't really understand senshi spheres,how they worked and how they got handed out was totally beyond him, and he suspected, probably beyond most senshi, though with this guy, he could kinda see some parallels. "Have you actually taken a starseed?" He asked,as it occurred to him he might have just kicked the metaphorical puppy in the nose again with that 'kill with kindness' line.

Virtus did not understand the warning, though it should have made sense to him. He felt they were all friends on the side of Chaos, but that was not true. It could sound like he was thinking traitorous things, which was certainly not what he wanted to do.
He wanted to help. He wanted to do everything he could for his team, but he wanted to do something he knew was really helpful. And it just wasn't in him to fight, no matter how hard he was trying.
He was just too... nice.
Moving after Realgar, he plodded along and tried not to drag his feet, though it felt like he wanted to. he winced at the idea that someone could DIE because he was being kind, or that that was what he was supposed to do in his place in the court.
"No, I haven't... I only just won a fight, but I didn't like it... I felt so bad, hurting someone, I had to... I used my magic to heal him a little after because... it just felt wrong. I want to be a good senshi for my queen but do I really have to hurt people like that?"

"Well, I assume you don't want to just lie down and get kicked by an ambitious Whitemooner." Realgar suggested, trying to put a spin on the situation that Virtus might be able to appreciate.
"Maybe you should hook up with a team, let someone else do the hitting, if your talents are on healing. Some of those bastards hit pretty hard, having some extra healing spells would make a lot less questions for some folk. Hell I've had broken ribs twice since I signed on. That's nothing to sneeze at."
He was thinking about the first night again, holding starseeds in his palm, ditching the bodies of the two boys.
He'd been a lot more confident that night. Maybe not even confident, just overwhelmed by the new levels of heat his rage had reached, and he hadn't cared about anything but punishing them.
He didn't think Virtus would approve.
"Guess it depends what Ares goals are compared to the Negaverse."

"That... sounds like a good idea, actually. A really good idea! I should find some people to patrol with, and if they need help I can do it! Hey! I could help the Negaverse too, if you guys are getting hurt!"
He had not thought of just asking his friends if they wanted to patrol together, and now that it had been suggested it seemed like such a good idea. He didn't wonder how he hadn't come up with it, either.
He was kind of dumb, and he knew it. And was okay with it!
"That does sound painful, I'm really sorry that happened. I got beaten up by a senshi before but recently I think I've been pretty lucky. They don't seem to want to hurt us." Or maybe they just felt like hitting him would be like kicking a three legged puppy.
