This was the last time Shalott was powering up for a long while. She'd decided the night before with her disastrous date with her husband. She couldn't take it anymore and until she found her direction again it wasn't fair to anyone for only half a knight to come along and try to rescue them. She felt obligated for one last night, though, saying goodbye.
There was a look on her face that expressed how she felt. As much as this side of her conflicted with the rest of her life and as much as she was at war with her ideals and her job she was still a knight at heart and had wished for this somewhere down the line. She had every reason to believe that someday she'd get to be at peace again and could find a way to co-exist with both sides of herself. When that happened she'd be back.
That day just didn't happen to be today.
She wasn't thinking of much else so when she felt an aura similar to her own she didn't pay it much attention except to quickly note that nothing of Chaos seemed to be nearby. That was good, anyway. Out of curiosity, since she hadn't felt this particular signature before, she headed in that direction to speak to one of her colleagues.

Shang was walking along with a bit of limp from the youma he had just encountered. It had clawed him pretty good and could feel the night cool air against his back letting him know that his shirt was torn. He frowned slightly, while he was now staying with Alex at the boy's insistence, and trying to just wait for his sister to come to him he still felt the need to power up and look to see if she would come out at night.
Shang did not think she had a reason to hide at night since she was a senshi, an eternal senshi and as far as she knew he was still just Xander, totally incapable of much more than chasing her, even though as a page it still seemed that way to him. Still he missed his sister and was really worried for her and there mother was in a way and for once Shang felt his sister was being selfish.
There father was going back to England in a few days with a heavy heart because he needed to return to work, yet Lily still hadn't been found. Shang sighed and moved forward, his limp becoming more obvious in his weariness, not really aware that someone was heading for him.

"Jesus!"
Shalott worried about his injuries first before she thought to worry about who he was. He didn't feel like Chaos but she didn't really stop to check. She was a mother, after all, and that meant being a nurturing influence. Once she got closer she realized she was looking at a fellow knight.
"You do not look alright."
And she didn't mean just physically. He looked absolutely broken down almost as well as she was and where she'd made her choice and was confident she could stick to it he probably wasn't as lucky. First things first, though, she needed to help him.
"I'm Shalott, of Earth. What's your name?"
In mom mode she did not allow her directions to be pushed off or denied. She led him off and sat him down though supplies were scarce. She needed to do something for him and would make due with whatever she did have on hand. Being a mom often meant being creative as well.
"How badly are you hurt?"

Shang looked up at the religious exclamation to see a knight headed for him. This time it was a girl with very green hair. He couldn't help but to laugh lightly at her statement of the obvious, seeing as he had just been a little mauled by a youma. He had realized he also looked sad and tired, even though Alex had informed him of this little fact.
"I'm Shangri-la of Pluto. It's nice to meet you but ...," he started only to be ushered off to be sat down. It was very odd for he was usually the one doing the short of the thing that Shalott was doing.
Shang held up a hand, "I'm fine really. It's just a scratch. I don't think my ankle is even sprained or anything, just a little tender. Don't worry I'll be just fine. I've got a bunch of supplies in my bag. Right now I think the worst is the sting on my back. Theres a scratch back there though my shirts got the worst of it."
All this was said with a relatively straight face, but Shang was a doctor as a civilian. He was sure he would be just fine after a hot shower and good bit of sleep.

Shalott was not a doctor, only a fussy mother type that considered anyone a child when they were younger than her. Even eight years between them did not find him exempt from bad habits. She'd still fuss despite his protests. Soon enough she was pressing her handkerchief to the wounds on his back, trying to get them to clot and the bleeding to stop..
"Something tells me these injuries aren't the cause of your long face, Shangri-La."
She knew damn well that his ankle shouldn't be walked on for a little while at least if it couldn't be iced or wrapped. A lifetime of child injuries taught her the basic ins and outs, especially one so inclined to harm herself as her darling daughter. Harm liked to dance but wasn't especially graceful. This meant quite often she had bumps, bruises, or things like this to contend with.
Just as well, perhaps she could help him in some significant way tonight.
"Why don't you lay it on me? No one looks that pouty without a reason why."
Maybe pouty wasn't the right word but the intention was the same, and pure, and made toward Shalott's aim to being a nurturer to the Knights, helping without lifting arms. This she could do, provide a listening ear and the benfit of her age and experience. She wasn't uniquely qualified to do this but as she had mentioned before at a meeting of the knights, why had she and Tony been called at an older age but to try and offer the merits of that age to their comrades?

Shang winced lightly at the handkerchief pressed to his back not liking the pain that shot up his spine. He frowned thinking that maybe the scratches were worse than he thought, but they would heal right. Maia healed really quickly, he hoped he would as well. He still didn't really know how the being magic thing worked entirely.
Shang gave a nervous chuckle at the Shalott's statement. It sounded somewhat like something his mom would say and made him feel way younger than his 27 years. He gave a small smile, but sighed lightly. She was a knight right and stronger than he was, so she might know or maybe have seen his sister.
"Uh well. My sister is missing. I've been looking for her for a bit now, but no one has seen her for a bit. I know she's here somewhere, one of her friend saw her when she came back, but I just worried."
Shang folded his legs indian style and looked to Shalott. "Maybe you've seen her. Red hair like mine, long and curly. Her name is Sailor Maia and she got a green and white out fit with music notes on it."

Shalott listened, nodding, putting aside the handkerchief. It couldn't do much more than it had done so there was no point continuing to fuss. If he wanted to heal by himself she wouldn't press him. The name he mentioned sounded very familiar and she blinked.
"I've met Maia before. There was this charity thing last Christmas. She was there."
The idea that siblings could exist in this world made her worry about her own child. Could it be passed down by blood? Would Harmony awaken someday to be a knight like herself, or a senshi? Worse, could she be a member of Chaos? The older woman shook herself from that line of thinking. Wondering would not solve the question. If her daughter was involved she was doing a good job of hiding it.
Then again, so was she from her child.
"I'm sorry. I don't think I have seen her lately."
It was true. She hadn't seen Maia since that time the previous Christmas. Her contacts among the senshi and knights were woefully under utilized. She should address that.
"What happened?"

Shang brightened a bit at Shalott having mentioned at that she had a least met Maia before which meant she knew would recognize her. His eyes shined with hope, but the hope was dashed at Shalott's next words. He nodded solemnly not really sure what else to say at this point.
Shalott didn't know where his sister was and he was still no closer to finding her that yesterday or the day before. It only made him feel all the more guilty for everything. The whole situation was a total mess. The question of what happened made Shang tense a bit and brushed over with an, "it's a long story that starts three years back. I'm sure you don't want to hear all about that."
He rose a bit unsteadily with a sigh, "Thanks for your help Shalott, but I think I had better keep moving. As much as people keep telling me to give her time, the more time goes by the more worried I feel. I want to find her, even if she slaps me in the face because then at least I'd really know for sure she was okay."
Shang was turned and started to walked away, slowly still limping. He wasn't exactly know for his social skills, but he did deeply care for anyone who managed to get close to him, which admittedly could take years.

Shalott realized after a few moments that there was really nothing she could do for him. He needed his family, just as she'd simply needed her daughter a year ago. His story didn't make her hopeful that he baby could escape this life now that she knew it could be passed along a family line. She worried for Harmony now, and for Nathan.
"I'll keep an eye out for her." she returned sincerely. If for nothing else than just to know Maia was safe.
She let Shang go, watching him limp away and feeling like she hadn't really been affective to him at all. She'd wanted to help and ended up...well, she wasn't sure what she'd managed to do for him. She hoped he'd take care.
