Kalypse turned and looked behind him, floating in the open water. He was pretty sure he had lost them, almost positive about it. There was no way they could keep up with him, silly siblings. He smiled swimming in a circle tail swishing with pleasure. He was by far the fastest and the best swimmer out of his family, or so he liked to believe. He glanced around himself, now that he was alone what should he do? Surly there must be something interesting to do, something new to explore around here. He wasn’t sure he had ever been in this part of the ocean; no he was positive he had never been over here before. He rarely got away from his family enough to explore on his own. Though he loved exploring, he enjoyed finding out the nooks and crannies that held all the most interesting things.
With one last glance of her shoulder he swam forward, waiting for something interesting to catch his eye. He didn’t have to wait long, he could just make it out in the distance, and it looked like a reef. While he had seen plenty of reefs, this one was new and thus interesting. From what he could tell from this distance it was quite large and there were lots of interesting fish swimming about. It took him very little time to be sold on the whole idea of going to visit this new reef. With that he was off dashing at mad speeds towards this new location to discover all its little secrets.
He slowed so as not to collide with the reef itself, as he was just positive that would make for a brutal encounter. He looked it over, taking note of all the dips and hiding places. It was beautiful, he had always loved the open ocean, and it had so many secrets to share if one knew where to look. He started off slowly moving over the top of it till his head nearly poked out of the water he was so close to the surface. He did at one point poke his head out and pranced along the top of the reef pretending to be a hoity-toity land dweller, little hooves kicking up some sand as he did so.
“Look at me; I’m a fancy land dweller.” He commented to no one in particular as he walked along back fin propelling him lazily. Once he reached a dip he ducked his head back under the water, he had startled several fish already but caused no major damage otherwise. “Hey! Wait, come back!” He called after the fish swimming after them as they zipped around the reef. In his mad dash after the fish he hadn’t been paying attention to where he was going and was thus startled when he found himself in the hull of a sunken ship. “Wow.” He stated doing a complete circle as he looked around. He had never seen a ship up close before, and was often told to stay away from such things. He glanced around swimming closer to the edge, placing a hoof on the rotting wood. “This is awesome.” He commented his voice still holding so much wonder, as his hoof pressed a bit too hard and pushed through the hull of the boat. “Opps.” Kaly stated a bit sheepishly pulling his hoof back, boy was he glad no one was around to see that.
