Returning from the cafeteria, the moon trainee was nibbling on a muesli bar as he returned towards the training fields. Grabbing some extra nutrients to help him continue his workouts. He had been going strong so far, and he was hoping to keep the effort up for as long as he could. Because the long he was able to do this, the sooner he would be able to grow stronger and advance himself. Finishing off the snack, he looked for a suitable training dummy, or even a potential sparring partner.

Ofelia was in the training fields stretching her legs, so to speak. Her weapon was unsummoned, her feet were bare, and with wrapped ankles she was placing kicks here and there on several dummies. Her shoulders were injured, it was in her best interest not to use them so heavily unless on a mission, so for the time being the redhead stuck to kicking things. It would do wonders for her legs and lungs, forcing herself to use all kinds of muscles she'd never thought of before, and so she kept kicking and running around.
Eventually she worked up enough of a sweat that she took a break, standing in one place and just relaxing for the moment. The breeze felt nice. . .

Jason had managed to spy Ofelia just before she finished her workout. And he had to stop and stare. No, not because he was gawking at her or anything. He was just amazed at what she was doing. Kicking dummies, with her bare feet. How anyone could do that was beyond him, and yet here she was doing just that. When she had begun to take a break, he approached her. "That was amazing. The way you were able to attack those dummies with just your legs like that." He said, feeling a tiny bit awkward for complimenting someone he hardly knew.

"Hmm, this? S'not so hard, ya wanna give it a try?" Ofelia turned as she heard someone addressing her, a massively huge grin spreading over her lips like a wolf looking at a sheep. She pointed down to a bundle of wraps sitting near her jacket, a pair of scissors right next to it. "If ya wrap yer feet jus' right ya dun really feel it, but Ah guess if yer not used ta it could be kinda hard." The redhead was really, really used to wearing flipflops so her feet were a lot stronger than the average person, probably. "Also, thanks fer the compliment."
Why did Ofelia feel like she should have known this persons face? He seemed overly familiar but when she thought too hard on it everything seemed to swirl like a black cloud. "Are ya here ta train too?"

"Ahh..." Jason look towards the wraps, and then to the training dummies. He had never tried to attack with his feet before, and he didn't want to make himself look like a fool and end up falling over his own two feet. "Perhaps another time?" He suggested. "Oh, and yeah, I'm here to train as well." He paused. "And perhaps find a training partner too. I find I learn much faster if I'm fighting against someone." Looking at the other hunter, Jason frowned in thought. He was sure he knew this hunter from somewhere...AHA! It was the one who had helped to drag Before off of him after that...incident. "By the way...I want to thank you" He ruffled the back of his hair. "For sticking up for me during the battle with the insanity. You helped me out back there."

Oh, OH. So that is where she knew him from, the boy she had protected from Before, and Ofelia felt her cheeks flush as he thanked her. In all honesty at that time she hadn't stopped Clover to protect him, rather she'd stopped Before to prevent Before from doing something he'd regret. The poor guy thanking her hadn't even really come into the equation but she grinned and blushed none the less. "Ah'm jus' glad no one really got hurt there. Wasn' the time ta start at eachother, yanno?" It....really wasn't the time at all, and even now it sort of wasn't, but she needed to move along.
When he mentioned needing a training partner though, that she could focus on. "Well, if ya'd like Ah'm always up fer it? Rue an' Ah need ta stretch our legs tagether 'gain, so ta speak." Ofelia would need to talk it easy though, her shoulders would burn too much. She twisted her wrist, the bent and distorted bangles on the charm bracelet shaking.

"Yeah, it was a very...horrible time, to say the least" And the less he thought about it, the better. When Ofelia mentioned she was up for a fight, he smiled at her "If you're happy to have a sparring session, then that would be wonderful" Jason replied, moving back a little to give himself room. He noticed the accent in her voice, which made it a little hard to understand some of the things she said, but most of the time he could make out what she was saying. "Would you like to make the first move then?" He then asked. Forever being polite.

"As much as Ah'd like ta take first strike if yer offerin', we gotta do this fair." Ofelia raised both of her wrists up to her eye level and flicked the right one quickly. The bracelet seemed to snap, then simmer like smoke into the air, and shortly thereafter two bladed brace knuckles decorated her hands. "Rue likes a challenge an' so do Ah."
Truth be told Rue liked when Ofelia cheated, not that the teen ever did, and she wasn't speaking to her partner like a weapon should. Instead the screaming was starting again, high pitched and painful.

"If thats the case, how about we flip a coin then?" Jason said, searching through his pockets for a suitable coin to toss. He then held the coin up for Ofelia to see, his thumb then flicking under the metal and sending it skyward.
When the coin came down he caught it and placed it on his other wrist. "Tails" He made a guess, making sure he couldn't see the results until after he had made his choice.
Which just happened be the right one. "Heh, sorry. It looks like I guessed right." He said awkwardly. Showing her the coin on his wrist, he then pocket it once more.

Even if he was going first, Jason waited just a few more moments to make sure Ofelia was ready before he started. Holding his sword in both hands, he dashed forward, letting go with one hand to slice the blade upwards in a one handed-strike. HP: 40 Damage:7

Ofelia was a little surprised when the man came at her, his weapon a sword. The teen hadn't fought a sword-user before, at least not one she could remember, and it took her a bit off guard. His blade nipped into her shield and Ofelia struck back, doing her best to be quick about it.
Her attack was shallow but still enough to get a little bit of FEAR. Rue's screaming hadn't stopped, and Ofelia winced over it.

Jason was similarly surprised by which Ofelia attacked him. As her fists came his way, the moon hunter displayed gymnastic skills he didn't' know he had by bending his upper body away from the attack. He saw her fists scrape away at his shield, but it was no big deal. Stepping back, he readjusted his stance, then held his sword right in front of him. Tilting the blade straight, he thrust forward in a straight jab at his opponent. HP: 38 Damage: 8 Charge: 2/3 (I never remember to keep track of this OTL)

He was hitting her, still hitting her, and he was hitting her hard. Ofelia wasn't the cocky sort in spars, she knew her weapon put her in a spot where she was weak against weapons with reach, so when it came for him to slice into her again she just took the attack.
Not only did she take it, but rather she stepped inward and used that time to close the distance. There was no way she'd settle for being so weak, for letting her weapon only give him minor taps. With a brunt force she pulled her arm back and smashed it into him, following up with another from behind.

Jason was used to being pummeled. He had taken punches before, plenty of times during his high school years. (And lost a lot of money that way, too). But, to be thrown halfway across the ground by a few simple punches, by a girl no less.
'I didn't mean it tha-'
....Okay, maybe he was being a little sexist.
The moon hunter wasted a few precious minutes by trying to get his weapon to just shut up.

"Hah, gotcha." He hesitated and Ofelia moved in, watching the interaction between him and his weapon act like a downfall. The redhead didn't need to talk with Rue (and couldn't since the Boo Hag was still screaming) so there was no argument to slow her down. It only took two steps, one to get her in and the other to pivot her body, and she thrust her left hand forward and waited for her weapon to make contact.
Rue was charged, fully charged, and it would take nothing now to unleash her.
