Incoming Thread - Wave 1: 128
Riders have until Tues 13th at 6:26pm GMT (the time of this post) to burn all incoming waves! The occurs after the gather, during the rebuilding. This Threadfall is for Trine- resident riders only. The Rules The Rules You may only post for ONE character per post. NO DELETING POSTS - You will receive an automatic greylisting for deleting posts. There is plenty of room for danger AND safety in this system, abuse will not be tolerated. Burn Posts are the action posts where one determines how much thread is burned and chance of being scored. Damage Posts are posts made separately from the Burn Posts, should a dragon suffer Threadscore. These must be separate from Burn Posts. Both Burn Posts and Damage Posts count towards the waiting period when a dragon's HP drops to 0. If you are withdrawing your character, please note this in bold in your post at the top. Malvren's clutch that has just come to adulthood will be flying with the Queen's Wing for their first fall! Please post how much thread is remaining after each of your rolls. You may double post if you have multiple characters but you MUST wait for another player to post before you post again with the same character.

[Kleos & Moriath Agility: +1 HP: 77 +5 to burn]
When the siren rang, they were ready. Leaping into the straps Kleos made a final check of her harness and the firestone sacks before urging Moriath into the air.
Moriath bellowed and took wing, her eyes blazing with the ruddy light of battle.

Even as they took to the skies a tangle of Thread tumbled towards them. Snarling at the mindless menace Moriath opened her jaws and blasted it with flame, leaving behind ash.. and Thread. The last of the clump struck Moriath's neck, and with a cry of pain she vanished between for a moment to shake it off.

D'lin & Plexith HP - 77 Damage +5 to burn Agility - 3
With threadfall expected D'lin had kept his wing held ready, ensuring that the firestone sacks were filled and waiting, that everyone harness was in good repair..the dragons fed and rested. He had, to the best of his ability, attempted to minimize as much of the danger as he could and as their last few practices had gone well he could take solace in the fact that while there might be injuries...they would not be because his wing was ill prepared.
'Gale Stalkers form up! Keep it tight and keep your eyes open.' Plexith relayed to the wing as they took their assigned position and surged forward as the silvery strands of thread began to fall.

D'lin & Plexith HP - 67 Damage +5 to burn Agility - 3
Thread - 8 + 5 = 13 Remaining thread = 107
No preparation in the world however could prepare for every contingency and even as they moved forward an tendril of thread escaped the flames and wrapped itself around Plexith's foreleg. Without any promping the bronze took himself between to rid himself of it before returning to position. 'It was nothing' The bronze assured his rider, although D'lin could feel the pain.

Set'al and Pipith Agility +2 HP: 65/65 Thread Burned: 1 Remaining Thread=106
As always, being given orders sent a slight twinge through Pipith - he wanted to give the orders! - but he was stuck as a wingdragon beneath two other bronzes, and so he didn't have much choice. But he and His could still be the best wingriders, and they could still be best at fighting Thread!
Set'al met this quasi-enthusiasm with a dry reminder that he would settle for just surviving this intact. Pipith brushed this off as pessimism as they fell into formation to do their duty.

Set'al and Pipith Agility +2 HP: 61/65
Of course, Set'al was right to be concerned, but there wasn't time for an "I told you so" when Thread draped itself over Pipith's tail, sending the bronze between and back to be rid of it. He hissed with the pain of the moderate score, and pre-empted any commentary from his rider with an unhappy Not a word.

F'ren and Toulonth HP: 38 Agility: 5
Thread: 106 - 7 = 99
F'ren and Toulonth were quick to gear up once the siren rang. They were up and in the air alongside their wing fellows as fast as they were able. "Toulonth and F'ren, reporting Plexith" Commented the Green, turning her head for firestone even as she said it, F'ren, grim faced, only nodded towards the wingleader and fed her firestone, he HATED Threadfalls, it terrified him every time that he might lose Toulonth, he tried his best to forget it afterwards too and despite his issues with memory, he wished he had a dragon's capability to forget permanently.
Toulonth Flamed a swathe through the shining death that was falling towards them. Taking it out entirely, "We fly well Mine, my flame is strong, we shall not fall this Fall" she affirmed to F'ren, soothing his nerves a little, he couldn't help but have confidence in her, especially when her first burst of flame was so strong and flamed so much Thread.

M'lan and Asoth HP: 59 Agility: -1
Thread: 99 - 10 = 89
Asoth was impatient. "MINE... MIIIIINE Hurry.. we have to get up there, we need to FLY!.... THREAD FALLS!" he bellowed, as if M'lan HADN'T heard the alarm siren. M'lan was getting dressed as fast as he could but he took his time over harnessing Asoth, the huge Brown would just have to be patient, M'lan wasn't about to get the harness on loose or anything "Asoth!... will you just STOP... you do this every time.." he sighed "if i do this wron it'll take longer, be patient" he scolded the Brown who sulked instantly. he wanted to be up and showing off already.
Finally Mine! he said, lifting up and turning towards where they would receive their firestone. Once M'lan had his sack he fed the brown chunk after chunk, feeling the vibrations as Asoth chewed. "I am ready Mine" They took off towards Thread and Formation. He flamed hard, taking a huge swathe of thread out with one breath. Asoth banked sharply to avoid a tangle of thread heading towards his wingtip. If he hadn't been full of firestone he'd have bugled, trying to show off but as it was M'lan clamped on his Dragon's enthusiasm "Showing off will get us killed.... ENOUGH" he growled mentally at the Brown, pushing with all he had on the Brown's Will. No way was M'lan allowing him to be a brat today, this was about defending their home... NOT an opportunity to show off.

B'nas and Milnth HP: 55
Thread: 89 - 3 = 86
B'nas was less than pleased to be at Trine, to have been forced from his home by the revolution. He wanted to be home, inside his stone walled Weyr. When the siren began wailing he was tempted to force his Brown to stay out of it but.. Thread was Thread and there WAS Benden's Gold to protect... yes... yes that's why he got Milnth ready, they would char thread from the skies to defend Benden's rightful Queen, that was all, not to defend Trine and their runts of Atypes but to defend what was BENDEN'S.
He still took his time getting Milnth ready, slowly checking the leathers before fastening them. He climbed into his dragon's back and grabbed the firestone. He wasn't entirely sure where he should go to be honest but he joined a group of Benden Dragons flying formation, taking a place at the rear until further notice. He'd been a Wingrider long enough to know his place in a formation, even one that wasn't QUITE a proper Wing.

B'nas and Milnth
HP: 55 - 7 = 48
B'nas was distracted by trying to get into a proper formation, he tried to yell at a Green that cut across him and Milnth and as such, neither Dragon or Rider saw the thread that hit them. It caught B'nas on the leg, Milnth getting it lightly an his hide near where B'nas was caught. B'nas didn't have time to even hiss in pain as Milnth, ever aware of his rider, blinked Between. Hastily B'nas brushed the frozen strands away as they emerged back into the Hot Trine air.

[Kleos and Moriath Agility: +1 HP: 71/77 +5 to burn]
Reappearing in formation with the wing Kleos lent low over Moriath's neck, checking the positions of the riders she could see from where she was at the moment. So far everyone was holding their position well, no less than she would expect from her people. There was no time for pride however; more thread tumbled towards them and her blood sang in her veins as her bondmate opened her maw to sear away another swathe of the silver menace.

As they focused on one tangle of Thread another came towards them. Rather than blinking between to evade the new threat however the pair braced themselves for the pain and finished off their first target. This decision cost them heavily; the Thread tangled itself around Moriath's right hind leg and started to eat into her as she burned away the last of her target. Hissing in pain the crimson vanished between again, taking the ravenous silver stuff along with her. When they came back out the Thread was gone but the damage was done; grey-green flesh showed in trails along her limb.

Set'al and Pipith Agility +2 HP: 61/65 Thread Burned: 2 Remaining Thread=73
Set'al may not have said anything to Pipith in regards to the threadscore, but that didn't keep his feelings on the matter from being clear. The bronze needed to pay more attention to doing what they were doing than to doing it better than everyone around them. Focus.
I am always focused. This time, he managed to avoid being scored, but again failed to do much damage of his own.

[F'itx & Brumath Agility: 0 + 2(timerider) = 2 HP: 55 + 5 = 60]
And dragonmen must fly when Thread is in the sky. F'itz pulled the scarf up over his mouth and nose and pulled down his goggles so that they rested over his grey eyes. Grim and determined he lent forward over Brumath's neck as the brown launched himself into the air along with the rest of their wing. How many more falls were they going to survive? He always wondered that, and wondered too many many friends might not return. He didn't have many, he was not a man known for his wide circle of connections but the few he had he feared for. He feared for Cetalease, and hoped that the riders in her wing were capable. For now though there was no time for his worries, or for Brumath's gloom and pondering.
Dragonmen flew when Thread was in the sky, and they fought.
Eyes glittering a muted red Brumath carefully scanned his surroundings, picked a target and unleashed a jet of flame at the nearest strand of Thread.
