Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Alexa walked into the stadium with Hulda in tow. She noticed the waves seemed to bother the Growlithe and frowned. This would be an interesting battle alright. She signaled Hulda to the field.

Alexa gave the signal to use a dark type attack and watched as Hulda struggled to run in the sand. If this hadn't been a battle she would have been tempted to laugh.
Hulda rushed towards the Gastly as best as she could as the sand was something new to her. Once she was finally at the ghost she bit down hard on anything she could get a hold of.

Mari faded away from the attack, trying to hide how much it had hurt. "Aww, does the puppy have a hard time running in the sand?" she cooed as she stirred up that sand with an Ominous Wind.

Hulda winced hearing the gibberish from the Gastly. She couldn't understand what was said or even the intent so the teasing didn't affect her. The wind and sand made her pause as she had to try and get her bearings before attacking. Once she figured out where the Gastly might be she lunged ready to bite down again.

Hulda was blown back a bit and with the sand kicking up it took her a moment to find Marigold. Once she spotted the ghost she ran forward ready to bite.

Hulda was knocked by some by the force of the wind. She brought her lips up as if growling but no sound issued. She rushed at the ghost and went to bite down.
