Watch Me looked up from admiring his masked reflection in a still pond, glancing behind him at Prize. The female Acha was wearing her usual scowl, though this time it was matched by a determined lift of her head. The Kiokote peered behind her to the forms of two waiting Kimeti. “Oh…?” He inquired slowly; pretty sure he was not going to like how this conversation turned out.

He waited.

“They are joining the tribe.”

There it was.

“Not as performers.” He replied quickly, nodding apologetically to the Kimeti. “No offense intended of course, but you are only Kimeti.”

Prize did not look pleased. “We need more diversity.”

“We have diversity.” All his Acha were unique.

User ImageAlready Thunder did not like this kiokote buck. No offense? No offense? It was clear that he had a definite discrimination against kimeti joining the troupe. Snarling, she stepped forward to answer. "You haven't even given us a chance. My friend and I can do things I bet your precious troupe has never seen. Things your better friend here is willing to let us show if you weren't such a big-"User Image

A pink nose reached out and nudged Thunder in the shoulder. Fall's lined eyes giving the brighter colored doe a distinct look telling her to shut up before they weren't allowed in at all. "What my friend means to say is- Thank you for allowing us to join. We hope we can sway your mind to letting us perform once you get to know us." The words came out with a hiss and an odd turn to the head, a wry smile playing at her mouth.

Thunder tossed her mane and glowered at her companion. "This is complete Kiokote sh-"
Let Me Fall's head was below Thunder's, shutting her mouth for her before she said anything else.

… magnificent lover of Acha. Watch Me mentally finished Thunder’s first cut off sentence, his expression past the mask one of mild concern. The Kimeti doe seemed riled up about the exclusion, but there really wasn’t any help for it. They simply weren’t Acha.

He cleared his throat, nodding his head towards the clearly much more well-behaved doe. “Indeed. You can endeavor to work towards such a goal.” He gave her an indulgent smile. “In the meantime, I’m sure the troupe will greatly value your assistance.”

... shenanigans. He finished off the next one, refusing to look at Prize throughout the exchange. “Well then, I’m sure Prize can get you settled.”

Prize gave Watch Me a look that promised they would talk about this later (a look he pointedly ignored by turning completely around) and then turned to the two Kimeti. “I will get you settled then.” The result was the best she could have expected. The Kiokote was stubborn and progress would be slow, but she was certain that given time she could get a non-Acha performer onto the stage.

Thunder turned her back on the kiokote as he did them, but turned her head to nod to Prize. "Thank you very much," she said calmly in what appeared to be a complete personality switch, "for the opportunity." She was genuine in that, at least, and she couldn't deny that the acha's partner hadn't outright refused.

Watching her companion and the other pair warily, she relaxed when Thunder became cool and collected again. "We look forward to meeting the rest of your group and helping in whichever way we can." Her face was a perfect mask, but deep down she agreed with Thunder and was itching to find an opportunity to show them what she was capable of.

She could also see the glint in Thunder's eyes that meant the frail looking doe already had a plan. Something Thunder proved when she moved closer to Fall and whispered in her ear. "One day we'll show him, and he won't have any choice but to make us his stars."

This was going to be interesting.

Prize led the two does away from Watch Me and towards where much of the tribe was currently located, her head held high. She did not saw a word, merely gave a nod and grim smile to her Kimeti companions.

In time she would wear Watch Me down and he would see her point of view. The troupe could only be its best if they learnt how to accept their kindred. The challenge of making Watch Me see past his bias was one she would readily take on. She was so very sick of Acha.

Prize cast a sideways look at Thunder and Fall. This would be interesting indeed.

Not the best reply, sorry! Feels somewhat like an end. Should we just leave it like this? C:
