An idea just popped into my head about starting a book club here, in the NSTG! Is this a great idea? If so, what books would you like to read? Thank you so much. heart

Good idea! It would be so cool if we could read a book we all know, but haven't read.Thank you! I've always wanted to read The Fault in our Stars by John Green, would that be a good book to start the club with?

I totally vote for this, I just don't know that I have time to commit to reading ; A; I still have the Iliad and Odyssey hanging out waiting to be read + some Terry Pratchett and Mercedes Lackey. -headdesk-
Also I need to finish "I Am America and So Can You."

Eternal Rebellion Thank you! I've always wanted to read The Fault in our Stars by John Green, would that be a good book to start the club with? I've never heard of it. What's it about? I was thinking about The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I recently read it for English class, and I loved it. It is, however, really powerful, with scenes that might trigger some people.

I would recommend Of mice and men by John Steinbeck. 3nodding

When will the princess figure it out?
If I can find the time to read, I'd love to join. There are several "classics" I have yet to read and this may be the proper catalyst.

I think it's a great idea!
Also, just to be a little different... how about a Manga Club? I'm thinking that would be cool because of the interests of those around Gaia as well as the availability of manga to read online for those who can't or don't want to get the books from the bookstore or library.

About your Manga Club idea, I do love manga, but I was hopping to read a book that's lengthy (but not Atlas Shrugged lengthy if you know what I mean lol) that way we can discuss the book chapter by chapter.A classic is a great idea, what do you suggest? Auntie sindy recommended Of Mice and Men and I've always wanted to read it. heart
