"Oh, yuck," Zia would never ever ever in her whole life ever get over how gross youma dust was. Though the bat Chris gave her got the job done pretty well. It was comfortable, it swung nice, it was aluminum and didn't splinter when used on too many skulls. She nodded with a look of approval as she spun it a bit to further remind herself how much she liked the feel of it.
And then turned and stopped in her tracks to see a familiar pair of brown eyes looking at her with the most extreme of confusion.
"...Zee?"
"Heeeeeeey," Zia tried to act casual, faced with her brother and a redhead who looked kinda sorta familiar. "Noaaaaaah.." she quickly tried to think of something to say so she didn't have to stretch out greetings to infinity.
Noah thought it was shaping up to be a nice night, damn it. So nice he was just finishing up a nice time with Phina and was walking her home. And admittedly expecting a reward for walking her home, but geez, the woman had been flirting with him non stop for three or four outings now. And then the peace had been broken not just by a monster, but by his sister chasing it and smashing it hard enough it exploded to dust before he could fully process what they'd just walked in on.
Nevermind the fact he hadn't seen his sister in forever, or that he had assumed she left town to escape their dad, she was wearing jeans and a ponytail. And was barely recognizable. And also chasing monsters.
Noah kept his calm for a long moment as he tried really hard to wrap his brain around it and just ended up saying as nicely as possible. "What the ******** are you doing?"
God, he hope Phina didn't remember they were related.

Seeing the purple head girl running by with a bat chasing a monster was one of the weirder things Phina had seen, not the weirdest, as she had been in some crazy battle last year, which she preferred not to remember as it only confirm Destiny's danger. It was still weird, but weird was the uttered Zee from Noah.
She gave him a curious glance then turned to look at the girl her features becoming more familiar by the second. It didn't take to long to realize the girl resembled Noah and it clicked. She was the same girl from the shop, Noah's sister who Phina helped picked new clothes for Noah. New clothes which she got the pleasure of seeing on him, though she would very much like the pleasure of taking them off. she grinned at her wayward thoughts before her words turning back to look between the two of them.
Her hands went to his arm gripping it lightly to get his attention before she spoke, "Noah, umm ... isn't that your sister?"
She knew it was his sister, but she felt the need to make absolutely certain.

"It got away from me," Zia said like that explained everything with a nervous laugh. She was trying out Valhalla's theories on her own, wondering if it might be easier to focus without constantly bickering with the knight.
And just ended up focusing herself right into her brother.
The corners of Noah's mouth turned down sharply. His baby sister? Killing youma? Well, Noah had been known to beat away a few in self defense, but he wasn't running around the streets with a bat. Never mind the fact his sister had showed signs of going off the deep end before this little encounter. Obviously the sensitive thing to do was stay and figure out what she was doing but damn it he was on his way home with Phina. And it was a real conundrum trying to figure out what to do. Keep walking or stay? Keep walking...
But he couldn't.
"Yeah, I'm his sister," Zia said, shifting the bat to another hand and extending her free one to shake Phina's. "You're the clothes lady, right?" Zia was in ripped jeans, a hoodie, and flats. Apparently she'd gotten fashion dumb since the last time she was gushing about cuts and shapes with Phina, though she still had an excellent manicure that was only doomed to be chipped if she kept monster hunting. "You guys on a date or something?"
"Yes" Noah was hoping she'd take the hint and go be crazy somewhere safe he could come back to and deal with later.
No such luck. Zia just shrugged with a nonchalant, "Sorry."

Phina raised an eyebrow at Zia's statement giving her own awkward laugh. This whole moment was just all filled up with awkward. Not only that, she really wanted to know what exactly it was and why the girl felt the need to chase it down, in her little fashion mishap.
She took the offered hand when Zia confirmed his being Noah's sister, "Yes, we helped pick out clothes for Noah. I'm Phina," she said as calmly as possible before giving a quick grin at the girl when she asked if she and Noah were on a date. She would have laughed, but well it was obvious why she didn't.
"It's okay, really, so we will be out for a bit longer. No big deal really, but what is a big deal is that you seem to have lost you since of fashion and are in dire need a of shopping trip, which I hope you'll let me give you. And well you just turned something into a cloud of dust with the help of that bat."
She gave Noah a look as if to say she really wanted to know what was going on, she didn't intend to leave just yet. She grinned at him briefly before pinching his butt as discreetly as she could.

"Aw, no, lady, this is just for running around in," Zia said in a chipper tone, looking at the bottom of her beat up shoes and back up to Phina. Apparently her diction had taken a step down with the rest of her class.
And she totally caught that this b***h pinched her brother's butt. Though she resisted getting all 'rawr' about it and just twitched up an eyebrow. She had a bat in hand, and it was hard as hell not to tell her to keep her hands off. Noah tried to act casual, more so now than ever since he had stood up as straight as possible, but Zia felt especially overprotective with this b***h having her hands on him.
She knew her type. Hell, she was her type, once upon a time.
"It's a you--"
"--Youma," The siblings both spoke in unison and gave each other their own versions of suspicious looks. Zia was wondering what the ******** her brother was doing when she wasn't checking on him constantly and Noah had instantly taken to imagining Zia in one of those stupid senshi costumes.
Though while Noah was concerned about how terrible it would be if she was a crime fighter dressed like a teenaged teenybobber, Zia was wondering if he'd keep her dog alive in all of whatever mess he had been playing with. "Do you feed my dog?" She asked, getting right to it, rather than care about Phina's questions.
Noah sputtered and waved his arms. She didn't get to flip out, vanish, and show up hitting monsters out of the blue and ask about the damn dog.
"They're monsters, in the street. I've been attacked once or twice," Or a dozen,"They like to bust down windows. And Yes I feed the stupid dog. When are you coming to get him? He ******** rips gutters off buildings for ******** sake."
"Uh... never?" Zia snorted. "I gave you the dog. Giving. You. Dog. Means you keep the stupid mutt."

Phina gave Zia a look that said clearly what she was wearing should have ever entered her closet, but she didn't voice her opinion and despite having given Zia her name, she was called lady which irked her slightly.
Her expression turned incredulous and she looked between Zia and Noah not really knowing what to say. They both knew what the monster was, a youma and which made Phina a bit nervous about the pair, even if she was extremely curious as to the terrorist nightlight from the papers and the crazy stories some of the citizens seemed to come up with.
Zia changed the subject asking about her dog and Phina blinked rapidly, but Noah seemed not to miss a beat and continued to answer the rest of her question before talking talking about the dog.
"... Um sorry to break of the sibling love fest, but how is the dog of any importance right now," she looked to Noah with a miffed expression eyebrow raised, "there are monster ... er youma running about at night that attack people and you want to walk me home. Really?!?"

"My dog is super important," Zia argued. Well, he was to her.
Noah just rolled his eyes like an impetuous teen. "I've had a few beers, you really wanna be on the back of my motorcycle right now?" He was tempted to bring up senshi, but he didn't want to seem crazy. They had been just minutes from a monster attack, and he was worried about looking crazy.
"Well there are kind of people out on monster patrol," Zia said in her best 'know it all' voice. "Senshi and knights and s**t. Er, you know. 'terrorists'."
"Teenage girls in miniskirts," Noah said with a groan. He did not consider senshi proper monster control, okay, even if he'd had his butt saved by a few. And knights were just what.

Phina rolled her eyes at Zia's comment becoming slightly annoyed with the girl she had thought was a kindred spirit, "right, so important he's with Noah."
Her eyes turned back to Noah when she spoke about the motorcycle and of course she was silent for a moment give him a look to say her mind had gone a a little south. She grinned none the less, "no, but I'm quite sure you'd have enjoyed getting there faster." She currently wasn't sure they would make it there at all.
She looked to Zia again and frowned slightly, "yes I've actually had the, well I'm not sure I can say pleasure, but certainly chance to meet them. There was so much going on though, it hard to remember who was doing what. I was nearly buried alive. They destroyed the building, but Im not sure ..." she looked to Noah," it was the as you put it miniskirted ones. I don't even know. It was too much. I want to forget being manhandled by a tentacle monster .. er youma."
Her hand left Noah's arm and went to her head. "It all very interesting, if not a bit crazy, researching, following the stories until you are dropped literally into the middle of it. My head hurts now."
She looked between the two, "so now what? Not much for processing after martini's would have preferred to work or sleep them off first."

Zia stuck her tongue out at Phnia. Maturity was clearly for losers and she may have been half wanting to chase the woman away anyway. Well, she fully wanted to chase her away, but for reasons besides her having her polished paws all over her brother.
Noah clearly knew things. She wanted to find out how much.
"Well whatever, I fight monsters sometimes," Zia said with a shrug so they could stop with the 'I know something you don't know' tension.
Noah just coughed like he was choking on the words he wanted to say, and pulled his arm out of Phina's grasp to put it around her, cringing at the thought of buildings falling on her, but he was just a little tipsy and couldn't figure out a socially appropriate way to just be cool about that.
Zia kept going, "I mean I'm not a senshi or anything I'm just friends with a few."
Noah had more understanding of the situation than he wanted, but Phina complaining about headaches is what got his attention. "We should probably keep walking."

Phina chose to ignore the childish reaction from Zia wishing that they hadn't run into her at all. She much preferred the slightly hyper, bossy, fashion savvy version of the girl and she didn't really want to know that the girl fought those youma monsters.
She was all for further ignoring Zia and Noah arm around her, while slightly unexpected was nice. She had told him she got manhandled by a monster and he hadn't freaked or thought she was crazy. It was very surreal, but a bit othersome. It gave her a suspicious feeling about the pair that she didn't really care for, even Zia statement of not being a senshi wasn't enough to shake the feeling.
She looked to Noah wondering, "are you friends with them, the senshi? I mean you can't be one of them right? You said they were mini-skirted teenagers, right?" Her looked had taken on a don't lie to me quality, but after a second her hand was pinching the bridge of her nose in an attempt to combat her blossoming headache.
Rubbing her temples, she nodded when Noah suggested they keep walking, but then looked to Zia and back to Noah. "Whether or not she does this sometimes, I really don't feel comfortable just leaving her here. Even if she is carrying a metal bat, she might run into something that she can't handle. Or does it not work like that."

Noah wasn't sure how offended he should be when she wanted to confirm he wasn't a senshi. "Yeah, no, I don't think could pull off the skirt," He said with heavy sarcasm, but frowned when she pinched her nose, lightly touching her hair in concern.
He looked Zia up and down and shrugged. "She's a big girl, she can take care of herself," He said. He really wasn't used to worrying about Zia, of all people, it wasn't a sentiment that came naturally when she was not just capable, but touchy about doing things herself.
"Actually I think it would be better if I tagged along. Thanks for the invite," Zia gushed with just the ever slightest hint of a sneer. She didn't like Phina anymore. She certainly didn't want them going home alone. Sorry, Noah, she was ruining your night on purpose now.

Phina had to admit was didn't mind the attention the headache was getting her, but at the same time it was bit unnerving. She wasn't ashamed to admit she didn't really date and was more a friends with benefits kind of woman, still she couldn't deny it was fun, dating someone.
She frowned when Noah said Zia couldn't take care off herself, because well, it just didn't seem like something an older brother would say, but her frown disappeared when Zia took her up on the invite with a not so pleasant tone, but she shrugged moving closer to Noah feeling a bit cold since they had been standing in the night air for a bit now.
"Come one let's just go, its not exactly warm out and I not going to lie. We get attacked and I won't be much help, fighting isn't exactly my thing."
She turned and led the way back to her highrise, very happy when they entered the building out of the cold and headed to the elevator. She pushed the button the upper floors and waiting patiently leaning against Noah and eyes Zia to annoy her. She knew it was childish, but Zia wasn't exactly being mature herself and she had a headache currently.
Getting off the elevator, into a little waiting area the opened onto two hallways Phina took the short hallway to the left that only had one door at the end. "Were here, your welcome to relax for a while. I can take you both home after I've gotten rid of this headache." She went to get her key to open the door, but it opened before she could get to it.
In the door stood Lily, jeans and a tan top, though both items looked like they were clearly made for a guy. Her hair was cut short to her hair, which cause her curls to look somewhat wild and curl every which way. "Hey Phina, I was just about to ... Zia???"
Phina frowned briefly, very briefly at having forgotten about Lily, but her frown came back seeing Lily seemed to know Zia. She raised an eyebrow at the pair.

Noah couldn't not pay attention to Phina if he tried. Her head was hurting and she was hanging on him, though Zia's twitchy nature about it was making him super uncomfortable.
Zia reacted to Phina's taunting motions with a smile, though, and when she walked, tapped her bat on her sneakers with each step. Practically skipping. Though she really wished they were heading to Noah's place, but whatever, she could be in the way and unpleasant in any environment.
But then the door opened and even if the person standing there was clearly trying to look like a guy, she couldn't mistake that face. And she hadn't seen it in so long. "LILYYYYY!" She shrieked in utter joy as she burst through the clingy couple and tackled Lily in a bear hug. And then kissed her cheek with gleeful force before releasing. "Where did you go?! I thought something happened! And what did you do to your hair?"
Yeah, Noah didn't know what to do with this.

Phina was a bit shocked at the rather instant change to Zia, whose name Phina finally gained from Lily, blinking at the interaction between the pair. She wasn't entirely sure how to react at the moment, so she just turned to Noah. "Sorry I forgot Lily was staying with me. I'm not really use to having someone about all the time. It slipped my mind."
Lily found herself smiling brightly and squeezing Zia back not even phased by the fact that her friend was covered in dust. She did notice, but Zia's question's distracted her from the fact that Zia was probably covered in youma dust. She frowned slightly before pulling Zia over to the couch. If she was here she was invited, right? But before she made it there she realized the couch was probably not the best idea at the moment.
"What about you, I've not gotten a text from you in a while. We have a lot to talk about, my parents pretty much kidnapped me. I'll explain, but first," she said grabbing Zia's wrist, "your clothes are a little yuck and eww you got some of this stuff on me." She continued tugging pulling Zia into the bathroom intend on at least getting her a washcloth to get some off and possible some more clothes.
Phina just watched as Lily saw fit to pull Zia away and proceeded to head into the kitchen, looking over her shoulder briefly at Noah, "you coming. I'm going to make some tea and coffee, since it doesnt look like your sister will want to leave any time soon. "

"Oh, sorry," Zia sad, slipping out of her hoodie and following Lily to the bathroom like a puppy, occasionally reaching over to touch her tragically short curls and give an over dramatic sob.
Noah stood in the door way, even after Phina walked in, looking absolutely deflated. This night was going in the exact opposite direction he had pictured it earlier. Well maybe not opposite. That implies predictability. It was going a way he never would've thought could go wrong.
These were absolutely not the circumstances he wanted to get into Phina's high rise under.
"Is she... he...?" Zia called her Lily, right? "Related to you or something?" He asked, trying to make awkward conversation and eventually, sullenly, making his way inside and closing the door behind him.
