By the time Kettil woke up that morning, Freya was already gone.

Unlike the morning she'd woken up in his bed, there was no breakfast cooking on the stove. She didn't even have a stove. There was nothing waiting for him except a little note, taped to the back of the bedboard, written in hasty scribbles.

She didn't expect him to literally remain frozen in the bed, but she was obviously coming back. She just wasn't there, now.

Her tart pen was filled to the brim with whiny, heavenly scented minipets, begging for attention and possibly food. Their food bowl, which usually held a giant mound of sugar, was empty. The sound of scratching on their pen was audible, and annoying.

It wasn't a hard search. The bag of sugar was beside the pen, just out of their paws reach, but close enough to be easy to get to. There was no real indication that this was their food, but there were no other sources of food nearby.

Just outside the dorm, Freya was heading back from her shopping trip. She had two white plastic bags in her hands, and she was whistling a happy tune. Behind her, there was a little thud as a bird fell out of a tree and lay prone on the floor, too depressed to keep itself aloft. She didn't notice.

She practically skipped into the dorm, heading back to her room with her prizes in hand.

As expected, the tarts... swarmed.

The door opened a minute later, and Freya toddled in, saddled by her two bags. She put them down immediately, and her face lit up when she saw Kettil crouched in front of her tart pen. She closed the door behind her and ran over, slamming into his back and climbing up on top of it.

"YEH DIDN'T LEAVES YAAAAAY- ach and yeh feeds my babies? Yehr the best boilfriend ever!!" All of the treats in the pen quieted down, but tongues were still adamantly licking the mound of sugar even as they warily watched the teetering couple that were too close to their pen.

"Blah blah blah stops talkings like yehr not the sweetest, nicest, most considerate boilfriend in the whole wide worlds." She hopped off of his back, and squeezed him around the middle, before pinching his stomach. His question had her excitement returning tenfold. "I went to teh stores! I buys things! Today we are spendings teh entire day together, okays. Come, I shows yeh all teh things I bought."

She started dragging him over to the bed, and pushed him back down to sit on it while she went to retrieve her bags and play show and tell.

"Ja!" She dumped the bags at her feet and flopped down next to him. "My entire days is for yeh. And I buys things teh makes it good. First.."

She pulled out a box set of movies and handed it to him. "We are goings teh watch this. I heard is very good and this is goings teh be the perfect times teh watch it." The cover was littered with odd cartoons, and in giant font there were two words separated by a sword. Adventure Time.

"And I bought snacks, too." She pulled out the snacks slowly, as if extra proud of what she'd done. Slim Grims. She grinned with delight.

"And lastly.." She pulled the other bag over to her, and started pulling out the contents. Four different bottles of some unknown fluids, plastic gloves, an empty mixer bottle, some combs, and an odd plastic cap, along with a towel. At first glance, it looked wildly inappropriate. But if he read the bottle contents.. it would become clear what she had in mind.

He was, and he did! She nodded and leaned over to plant a kiss on his lips. "If yeh wants! We don't has teh does it today if yeh wanted more time teh thinks about it. None of this stuff goes bad, so we can does it whenever. But I did some research on how teh takes them out. I thinks I can does it pretty well now, with all this stuff! And it kind of takes several hours, that is why I brought us movies and snacks." She'd planned everything out. "So whatchyeh thinks?" Did she deserve a prize?

Freya's eyes glittered with delight. She blew air against his lips when he pulled away, and then started packing all of the dread supplies back into the bag, so she could carry them over to the couch. "Yeh goes and wash yehr hair as much as possible, okays? And like, here-" She handed him one of the bottles. "Conditioner! I bet yeh hasn't seen this in a while, hah? Just dump teh entire things on yehr head, rubs it in, lets it sit a minute, and then wash out real good. Then yeh comes back out here, with this towel around yehr neck." She handed him the big, fluffy towel as well. "And I will takes care of teh rest!"

Freya hadn't thought about clothing. Oops. She could have just let him go and shower in his dorm.. it was minutes away. But why would she do something as reasonable as that?

She snapped her fingers, and scrabbled back up to one of her drawers. "I has a better idea!"

When she pulled out and handed him a pair of owl shorts, identical to Kettil's except for the size, she looked proud as a peacock to have thought of it.
