With the talk with Lex on the front of her mind. The mist trainee thought about going back to the life labs and asking for them to introduce her to the rune and runic system that they used.
It would best to know what sort of situations would require to be trained in all the divisions including weapons that were specifically made for those who didn't work the division.
say like..what was it..Daggers that seemed to be made for Defense?
Yeah she needed those, it'd be good to shoot BEHIND a wall rather in front of one right?
Except where did one find Runic weapons? It was easy to slip into the life labs, and even easier to find a lab that was open with minimal people around. In fact it seemed almost quiet for a division that usually bustled around. Without really worrying, she started to look around..opening every single cupboard, drawer, cabinent....And admitted defeat when she realized again..she had no idea what she was looking for.
"And here I thought they would make it easy!"

Ami had been quietly watching this girl upturn every single nook and cranny in her lab. At first she'd been content just to see how long it would take the trainee to notice her, but the recognition never came.
The blonde hunter tapped her pencil on the lab bench she'd been studying at. "So," her voice broke out, breaking the silence that was hanging in the air. "Were you just going to tear apart my labspace and leave, or were you intending to clean this up?"
Ami was juding you Nevada.
Judging you hard.

Nevada almost...ALMOST jumped when she heard the voice of someone else in the room with her. Instead though, she turned with wide violet eyes and stared at the other girl before recgonizing her.
"Ami right?" She cocked her head, "The one that told me to help Otto and friends with Lex. How do you do?" She waited a beat and then smiled lazily at Ami.
"Well I was on the hunt in your labspace but it got so tiring and I couldn't find what I was looking for. I admit to wanting to take a nap but I wouldn't leave it in this mess if i was leaving.." Which was true, Nevada wouldn't make a mess and intentionally leave it for others to clean.
Unless she was told to.
"Are you feeling better since that mission darling?" She slid her way over into the bench seat and sat obnoxiously close to the huntress. Space bubble..what was it.

Ami was surprised by how good this girl's memory was. Ami forgot names at the drop of a hat, but Nevada had remembered hers just from one intruoduction. "Yes I am Ami ... I've forgotten your name though, I apologize." She didn't really feel all that sorry, but it was polite.
Nevada asked one of those annoying "how are you" questions that Ami hated so much. "Fine," she responded gruffly, not wanting to say any more on the subject. Ami was very far from fine, but it was none of Nevada's beeswax, so to speak.
"What were you looking for?" Ami cocked an eyebrow with her question, one that- combined with her crossed arms- clearly said, start cleaning.

"Don't worry about it, You and the male hunter Otto are the only ones I really met so of course I would remember your names." Nevada waited a beat, "My names is Nevada Burns...A joke on my parents part when they named me and my sister after states." Not offset by what seemed like a grumpy aura from the girl, Nevada just scooted closer on the bench.
"That's good to hear." She hummed as she looked over the notepad, "What are you working on in here?" Especially by herself?
"Oh! I was looking for those runic weapons! I was told hunters were allowed to have weapons besides their partners and was wondering what they looked like. Someone offhandly said that they were in the life labs!" Nevada wasn't taking the message of cleaning though.
Instead she smiled lazily at Ami.

Instead of answering either of Nevada's quips, Ami stood up and moved very blatantly away from the bench, picking up her notebooks and textbooks in the same motion.
"My work is classified," Ami stated. It wasn't, really, but it was the easiest way to get Nevada to let it lie. She squeezed the books closer to her. These were hers.
Ami looked at the girl with nothing but pity. What an incredibly idiotic creature she was. She simply showed up at the life labs and started digging around like a dog. Did she not notice the countless signs posted around with arrows and directions? How did one miss those?
Still, she could use the simplicity. "Ah, yes, the weapons vault. I could show you, if-" A glance around the labs. "You clean up after yourself. Now." Ami's tone implied that Nevada didn't really have a choice in the matter.

"I see! Well that's a shame but I guess curiousity killed the cat..." Nevada didn't seem bothered still by Ami's nature and instead continued to eye her with drooped eyes and a silly smile.
"Deal then." With the motatavation of seeing the runic weapons, the mist hunter moved quickly, setting everything like it was before. Motavation was the only reason the job was done quickly and effeciently.
"All done~" Nevada smiled at the Life hunter, "So tell me, runic weapons are really weapons that don't bond to you right? How do we use them with our bonded weapons anyways?"

Ami didn't blame curiosity for killing the cat. Ami wanted to kill a few things at the moment too.
She sighed in annoyance as the mist hunter cleaned- it seemed this girl was really serious about the weapons lab. She marked a few concluding notes, all while cursing humans for being so selfish. Only doing work when it benefitted them- it was pitiful.
A heavier sigh escaped her as the girl finished and began waterfalling questions at her. Ami held up a hand and said, "Motormouth, shut up.." She didn't have patience for Nevada's bubbly curiosity. "A deal is a deal, and I don't break my promises, but I refuse you making this miserable."
A twitch of her lips and she'd pulled out one of her two guns. "They work like regular weapons. No summoning, no voice in your head. Just a weapon imbued with ... magical properties." She had to make this as simple as possible so she didn't have to explain twice. Ami hated explaining twice. With a flick of her thumb, the safety was off and she aimed at a beaker on a table quite near to Nevada. It was reckless, but they had countless beakers. The trigger was pulled and the glass shattered, leaving a bullet sitting on the table sizzling. Ami wasn't phased in the slightest by the loud noise, not even flinching. "Understood?"

Wow, Nevada's smile just widened. This life hunter was all business and no play wasn't she? Though Ami was right, the mist huntress only did work if it had some kind of benefit for herself. She wasn't all that motivated to work hard when the outcome wasn't just as great.
Plus work meant work, and not sleep.
"Sorry, I can't help the questions since I burst the pod a week ago." She said pleasently, following the girl in silence.
She watched the demonstration and the only surprise from the loud sound was a raised eyebrow and pursued lips. "Imbuded Magical but not imbuded FEAR?" was all she asked. If they were magic, did that make them a seperate class then the hunters bonded weapons properties? "Are they any type of weapons or specific types? Like those guns...or swords?"chimarii I am so sorry for spelling errors its late IDEK

"No, it's FEAR," Ami clarified quite instantly. God save them all if she was the cause of some loony trainee running around yelling about magical weapons.
Ami's tiny feet tapped against the linoleum as she put her books away in a shelf with lock and key, microscope back in its proper place and slides stored away in FEAR-stable containers. Much more efficiently and quicker than Nevada, even.
As she organized she spoke. "There are many different types, but you will only be able to access about five. Torch, bandages, nets, daggers and chains." She quietly put her own guns back into their holsters and said, "Those are basic level runics, ones that anyone can access. Mine are more ... specialized. They require division lead orders, and Dr. H rarely gives out his toys by request."
She gave Nevada a very annoyed look and said, "Don't bother. He won't waste his time with a hunter fresh out of the pod." Ami wanted to add or one as obnoxious, but she bit her tongue. Being nice and all.
Actually, this entire conversation was rather nice for Ami. Maybe something Lex had said had stuck, or perhaps she was just trying to be nice today. Either way she was giving out information without stomping away. That had to count for something.

"I see." She studied the guns longer before nodding. "That's a shame, I would think they'd allow us more resources but then again, guess thats what our weapons are for." She perked at the five mentioned, "Bandages, Nets...Daggers?" Those all sounded like weapons she could handle.
"Bandages must be for healing, Nets for distraction? Or capture...What about the Daggers? What do they do?" On the note, "Who is Dr. H?"

"No," Ami said, "They don't give you everything because trainees drop dead like flies. That, and we're inexperienced. You're not entitled to free weapons." Ami was the grumpiest grump to ever grump. She had no way to sugar-coat it, it was simply "you're too newbie."
Ami stared at the girl a bit dumbfounded. "You don't even know the division leader ...? What did they tell you at orientation?" She shook her head and sighed. Ami hated having to explain so much. "Daggers are daggers, idiot. They can create barriers in times of need, but their primary function is to be a dagger." She looked at Nevada like Duh.
"Dr. H is the life division lead. He oversees ... everything, really." She put a hand on her chin. "Do you know any of the leaders, or are you just stupid?"

Nevada just blinked at the grumpy still and smiled. Truly smiled at Ami, "Are you always so offset by other people or is just me hun?" She chuckled, waving her hand. "Again, I say that's a shame. Even trainee's eventually become hunters." She put her chin in her hand and watched Ami.
"Division leader? Of life I'm assuming?" She shrugged, "I didn't really have a orientation. I sat in one of the life labs for like a hour being told things about insanity and then told that we had trainee's and hunters alike piling in from a mission. That's when I first met you." Nevada tapped her fingers on her chin, "I only know that my Division leader is named Aria and her assistant is Lance."
She huffed a breath before laughing. "Well slap me silly and call me sally but I think your onto something Ami! Daggers that are Daggers!" She just shook her head. "then I guess they aren't just daggers are they? Especially if they form barriers." Good to know, perhaps Daggers would be her next thing to aim for.
Mimicking Ami now, she cocked her head. "Oh like I said, I only know my leaders. I haven't heard a whisper of any other leaders. I haven't even been on a mission WITH leaders." She laughed again.

"I would not be so offset if you didn't make yourself so easily abhorred," Ami muttered as she gathered her things up, eager to move to another labspace where a trainee wasn't bothering her. She swore they came and stuck to her, as though they were flies and she, honey.
Oh god. Oh dear god she'd gotten an absolute greenhorn. Not a single mission under her belt. Completely fresh out of the pod.
Ami couldn't just leave this girl to be eaten by the piranhas. Ami might have been abrasiveness, but she couldn't leave someone with an unfair disadvantage to crumble to the ground on her first mission. "Come with me," she said abruptly, moving for the door. She didn't offer an explanation. Nevada could follow or not.

Nevada just smiled and followed after her.
"Okay Miss Ami." She trailed after the huntress, looking forward to more teachings. "So how old are you Ami? What did you do before you became a hunter?"
