It was a little surprising for Kettil when Freya had messaged him on HIM. Not that it was unwelcome; it was a very pleasant surprise. Kettil adjusted the fabric of the owl pattered pajamas that Freya had seemed so fond of back at the store, it was comfortable and he was glad he had them now. Even if they were a bit pink.

Kettil paused where Endzela perched and smiled a bit, "You comin' with to Freya's room, Lala?"

Endzela perked up a bit and seemed to consider it, "Hmm! Mayhaps in a bit. I wish to explore a bit in the wooded area Biskoto mentioned earlier this evening."

The Muut laughed as he reached up rubbing his fingertips against the Owl's feathered chest, "Fair enough, take care and come back safe."

"I always do~," Endzela sing-songed softly at the Reaper.

Kettil then meandered out of his room and went toward Freya's dorm. He paused at the door for a long moment pursing his lips. He'd almost knocked out of habit but she did say the door was open. A second or two later he opened the door and wandered in closing it after him. "I'm here~."

Even when she was typing, Freya had already been half asleep. It was no wonder then, when the door creaked open, she didn't stir from the bed. Kettil's voice had her eyes fluttering in recognition, however, and she muffled something inaudible into her pillow. Her new bed had arrived, and it was soft, and fluffy, and wonderful. As soon as she had sunk into it, it was hard to keep her eyes open. Even waiting for Kettil, those sparse minutes it took for him to walk from his dorm to hers, was enough to have her nodding off.

"Mmmmmmpppph."

That was all she could get out before her body twisted, trying to manage some form of wakefulness, despite the way her face kept trying to bury itself into her big fluffy pillow. So really, she looked very uncomfortable, twisted one way with her head twisted another.

But it was impossible to be uncomfortable in this bed.

"Amfpfhhnnn."

Kettil watched her with some amusement. There was something to be said about a ghoul that can twist around like that and not look like she was in some sort of discomfort. He made his way to her bed and quietly climbed his way onto it. Kettil ignored the almost unnerving feeling of sinking as he moved to settle near her, "Hello to you, too," he announced at her.

Sinking...Forever sinking...

"...This is pretty comfortable." He said after a moment of getting used to it, he lightly reached over to Freya to try and see if she needed help adjusting to where she could speak. You know just so he could understand her when she spoke.

Kettil didn't have to help much. As soon as his weight disturbed the proportional balance of the bed, and she rolled into the middle as it sunk further down, she splattered against him. Her right limbs both fell around his body, and he became the body pillow she was missing to make this the most comfortable bed ever. She squeezed him effortlessly, and turned her head away from the pillow to rest on something much nicer; the crook of his neck.

"Missed yeh." She mumbled into his skin, before yawning once and finally opening her eyes. Her lights were off in the room, but the moon gave up a fair share of light through the windows. It was just enough to see his face, and that was just enough for her.

"Didyeh has fun at teh party? With Than?"

That was easy! His arms draped around her after she settled on top of him. Kettil seemed to easily fall into relaxed mode rather easily even as he felt her breath against his neck. "I missed you, too," he said quietly giving her a big of a squeeze.

"Yeah, I did. He's a real fun boil to kinda talk to, but I don't know him all that well yet," he said thoughtfully. "Endy really likes his familiar. I am glad she is able to have friends of her own sort." He murmured quietly.

There was a silent moment before he finally asked, "...How did your talk go? You didn't look too happy when you came back."

She looked sleepy and content when he talked about Than. But when she was reminded of her conversation with Hel, all the sleepiness seeped out of her, and her body went rigid. Her eyes opened fully, really looking at him now. The warm fuzziness of being half asleep in the arms of the one you love was already fading away. In place of it, all she felt was the sadness that had exhausted her in the first place.

"She hates me." Freya's voice sounded resigned to the fate. "My own sister, she hates me. Everything I does, she hates. I thinks she would be happy if she never sees me again."

Freya curled up tighter, and her head bent in to smush against his shoulder. "I fails at being a good sister, Hooter." She failed everything she'd set out to do, with Hel. "I should have just stayed home and never comes here."

The change within Freya alarmed him deeply, especially as she went rigid. He just held onto her and listened, "Hel is a prickly ghoul," he said quietly with a bit of a shrug, "I don't think she hates you. Did she say as much?" He hoped the younger Valkyrie hadn't said such a thing.

He just rested his head on hers a bit, "You aren't a bad Sister," he corrected quietly. "You just want the best for Hel and I guess it conflicts with what she thinks is best for her," Kettil was trying to help Freya feel better about the whole ordeal he wasn't sure it was going to work, "If she falls...be there for her, and if she rises then be proud of her accomplishments. I think that's all she might want and need right now."

His heart gave an odd little shudder at Freya never coming to the Academy, "...That'd make me the loneliest boil in all of Halloween if you never came to Amity," Kettil murmured.

Kettil spoke, words that she could have easily told herself if she had any sense, but coming from him made her digest and believe them, as always. Kettil had siblings, there was no way he didn't understand the situation. She just wished she could explain how much Hel's appreciation, Hel's love meant to her. Just when she thought she'd gotten her back..

Kettil's sweet admission made Freya's eyes pinch closed, before opening back up to look at him. She leaned up enough to kiss a trail along the line of his jaw, ending at the tip of his ear, and then pulling herself up so she could rest on the pillow next to him. "I'd have found yeh." She whispered, confident that what she was saying was true. "One way or another."

He just let her take in the advice he had for her. It wasn't like he was going to make her follow advice. It was up to her in the end. Kettil would just be there for her when she needed him if it fell through or if she was hurting.

Kettil's sudden kisses along his jaw and then at his ear made him laugh a bit, his eyes gazed over toward her and he just smiled a little, "I am sure we would have found each other," he conceded softly, "but I am glad it was sooner rather than later, is all."

The Muut reached over and touched her cheek, "My pretty ghoul," he said affectionately.

Freya considered the options, and realized that Kettil was right. Even though it took them long enough, waiting until they might have found one another somewhere other than Amity could have meant.. a long time spent apart. She would never have even had him as a friend - and maybe she would have gotten far too lost without him to guide her, and bring her back where she belonged.

Freya's skin flushed hot when he complimented her, but the color was invisible in the dark blues of night. She reveled in the feel of his fingers on her cheek, and refused to move as if to savor every moment of the feeling.

She lifted a finger, and crooked it. "Come here, please."

Looking graceful while moving about on a fluffy bed is not as easy as one might think, Kettil wiggled a bit closer to her when she beckoned him to do so his body tilting toward hers ever so slightly.

"What is it?" He asked curiously, he was always innocent and unassuming it seemed.

It was almost like she wanted to share a secret with him.

She did want to share a secret with him. It was a gentle, silent secret, but when she leaned her head up to press it against his lips tenderly, the secret was out.

She stayed there, feeling his warmth against her night-chilled lips, but they didn't move. She just felt his soft, willing lips. They kept her secret safe.

He liked this secret.

Kettil's eyes fluttered closed briefly as he leaned into the kiss and thus returned it openly and happily. He let it linger for a long moment before he pulled back a bit, shifting to press his forehead against hers. As his eyes opened he was staring into her eyes within the moonlit darkness, "...You wanted me to sing for you?"

He suddenly felt bashful about singing for Freya, he wasn't sure why. His face felt warm as a blush spilt unseen color over his face.

Freya's eyes crinkled with happiness the moment his opened to look at her. They were so pretty. She could hardly see him, since his back was to the window, but she saw enough to make her heart flutter playfully. The reminder that he was going to sing had her lips parting in a grin, and she nodded, cuddling up against him. "Ja." She whispered. "Do yeh remembers teh song yeh sang teh me on teh video?" She could still hear an echo of that voice, but it wasn't enough now that she had the real thing. And the words, the sentiment in his song..

Now that she was allowed to return those feelings, she wanted to, very much.

He smiled a little at her question, "Of course I do," he said quietly as he took in a deep breath getting ready to sing the song for her. Kettil enjoyed singing for Freya the first time and really anytime she wanted him to.

That didn't stop the nervousness from knotting up his gut.

"Don't wanna say what's best for you. No, I don't wanna say what's best for you, but if I had to guess, you look stuck. You tried to do what's right and I know he didn't get just why, he didn't wanna fight, he just gave up," He sang just for her as he had done all those months ago but this time it was in person.

"You know, I just went out for band-aids, I'm thinkin' that's a good place to start. If you'd let me bandage the damage, I think I really could fix your heart. I wanna say I know what's wrong, but only you can be that sure, there's nothing I can do but be here. He pushes you away and I really hate to see you cry, I wish that you would come be with me~." His hand reached up to gently brush a hand over her cheek; it was something he was yearning to do again for a few moments. "Yeah, I know I'm no miracle worker, but where can I begin? Try to fix what's been broken and please don't get my intentions twisted. I don't think he was trying to be cruel. He didn't wanna fight. He gave up."
