Xiu was most certainly in a much more cheerful mood than she had been for the past few days. With classes over for the day, and no homework that needed immediate attention, the baku had the day free to do whatever she wanted. Of course, her usual "free time schedule" involved going home, making tea, and baking...but it didn't hurt to do something different every once in a while.
That being said, after she ruled out her usual hobbies, she didn't know what exactly she wanted to do today. Go to the maul? Call up some friends to hang out with? Xiu furrowed her brows as she clutched her textbooks to her chest, exiting the main school building as she began to make her way back to the demon dorms. There were plenty of options for ways she could spend her time today...but none of them seemed particularly appealing.
Maybe I should just read my textbooks and get ahead in my homework, She thought dryly, lifting a hand and running it through her hair with a sigh. Free time was no good when she didn't know what to do with it.

Eira sat on a chilly cobblestone wall, shaded by a weeping willow. She was done with classes for the day and after a quick check of her maulbox (or insert some other name for mail @.@) she found a package. A small gray tin that was filled with spookies of all shapes and size. Right off the back she could tell they were her mother’s, but it seemed maybe some gnomes might have sampled a few… Anyway she sat the tin next to her, legs kicking back and forth as she watched other students pass by.
“I like your outfit~” She called out, to a ghoul donned in red and gold Chinese styled dress of some sort. Her eyes widened just a bit, realizing that was just meant to be a thought, not said out loud… ‘Guh, why did you do that.?' Eira mentally told herself off, as she wasn’t the one to usually start conversations.

The baku's tapir-shaped ears suddenly perked up in surprise upon hearing a voice call out. Was she...talking to her? Slowly, Xiu turned to face the other student, cocking her head to the side when she realized that the ghoul was indeed looking at her. Lips tilting upwards in a small smile, Xiu lifted her hand and sheepishly rubbed at the back of her neck.
"O-oh...thank you! My uncle made it for me, so..." Trailing off, she slowly made her way over towards the wall that the other ghoul sat on, cocking her head to the side as she smiled up at her, "I really like your outfit as well! You have a wonderful sense of style."
There was a moment of pause--she certainly hoped that she wasn't bothering this ghoul by suddenly approaching her like this--and then she clasped her hands together in front of herself, lowering her head in a small bow. "My name is Xiuying, but I prefer to just go by Xiu here. And you are...?"

Oh? This girl wasn't going to maul or attack her? She wasn't expecting to the students to be this nice or well dressed intact! As the girl bowed Eira dipped her own head in respect. "My name is Eira, Eira Wen. Nice to meet you and thank you very much!" Giving a small smile she patted the wall next to her inviting the baku to join her... that is if she didn't have anything else to do right now. Perhaps she could even share a few of her spookies, she couldn't eat them all on her own after all.
"So your uncle made your dress? That's pretty cool. I'd love to learn to make my own clothes, but I haven't seemed to find the time. Your uncle has an eye for detail." She nodded a bit, not knowing much more about fashion than it was beautifully decorated.
Kaiyumi I'm so sorry that I let this fall through. I'm back and if you would like to continue, I'm game. > .<

"Eira," She repeated thoughtfully, as if testing the name. After a moment of pause, she nodded brightly, offering the other ghoul a warm smile. "What a lovely name! And it's really nice meet you too!"
Her gaze flickered to the side when the ghoul pat at the empty spot beside her, a silent invitation for her to join. The baku hardly even had to consider the offer before she grinned, hopping up to settle herself beside the other student. Shifting until she got comfortable, she turned back to face Eira, her tail giving a little wave behind her.
"Ah, yes! To be honest, my uncle makes a lot of my outfits. He has an eye for styles and colors that I like!" As she spoke, she absently smoothed out her shirt, and then glanced to the side to offer Eira a smile. "So, you're interested in sewing then, or...?"-Yasha Alchemist LOL aww! <33 No prob! ouo I'm p. slow with tags lately though, just to warn you ;;

Eira was excited to see that the monster girl was friendly and generally excited to have some ideal chatter. “That’s really cool. Umm… nah. I wish. I find it interesting, but I don’t think I don’t think I’d be able to actually make anything. I just enjoy seeing what people wear, I guess.” She said shrugging a bit as she stumbling through what she was trying to say. Her feet kicked back and forth as she mulled through he own thoughts.
Her ribbons playfully ran across the tub of spookies, pushing it towards Xiu. “Oh! Yeah have some spookies. My mom made plenty.” She grabbed one herself and began to chew on the edges of it.

Smiling wryly, Xiu let out a sigh as she swung her legs back and forth. "I know how that is. I can't really sew at all, but that doesn't mean that someone who can't make nice clothing can't appreciate it, right?" She turned back to grin at Eira, her tail doing another swish behind her.
Looking a little startled as a tub of spookies--one she had not noticed previously--was pushed towards her, the baku hesitated shyly for a moment before reaching out to take one. "Thank you!" Always one for baked goods, it only took the baku one bite before she was smiling, the corners of her lips pulled upwards. "Aah--these are really good!"
She waited until she polished it off before brushing any stray crumbs off of her dress, setting her hands behind her for support and leaning back slightly. "So, Eira! How are you finding the school?"
