Visuals: Map Link Details: -Devith's Cove: While it may not look like much at first if you're lucky enough one might spot the secluded cove just big enough for it's silver resident to lounge in. The cove itself is heavily overhung with trees leaving the shallow sandy bottom often covered in dead greenery and gook. However an enterprising dragon who is unafraid to make the walk to Trine's farthest lake and venture into the jungle can easily clean away the bottom to fresh bright sand with a tail swipe or two. The cove is fed by a small stream with enough grass on either side for Devith's rider to take a nap on in the shade while her flit's play in the eddies.
-Sanctuary Cave: Hidden at the foot of the mountains deep in the jungle near where the trees grow thick is a cave. Many many years ago it was used as a safe haven by deep jungle traders, but as thread came and went it was forgotten except by a rogue holdless here or there who had stumbled upon it and taken shelter there. Few know of it's location and fewer still could find it again with the mouth half concealed by a massive boulder and shadows. The Mouth of the cave perhaps at one time had been huge, able to allow in 6 bronzes breast to breast with little trouble. With time however part of the mountain side has given way narrowing down the entrance to a small jagged hole just big enough for a bronze dragon to crawl into. While the entrance may have been narrowed the inside of the cave has been left intact leaving it's huge sandy bottomed main cavern untouched though the few smaller caverns breaching off from it show some wear from a small fresh water spring that's begun burbling up in one of them.
-Cloud Springs: High in the mountains where Trine's warm air begins to grow chill in a small valley lay Cloud Springs. Cloud Springs are a number of small hot spring fed lakes surrounded by rich grass and half hidden by the steam that's often mistaken for low hanging clouds except on the clearest days. The sand and mud here is rich in minerals casting the water in a bright blue hue. It's not uncommon to find wild firelizards bathing here or a clutch or two hidden in the warm sand around the lakes.
-Training Area: The training area is a large slightly trodden ground grass field not too far from the Weyr. It's massive flat expanse makes it easy for young dragons to practice wing patterns on the ground or for teams of ground crew to practice their drills. It also makes a good landing and taking off spot for wings and a safe area for them to drill over. Targets can easily be marked out on the grass with chalk making it easy for dragons to practice their pinpoint accuracy.
-Jungle Training Area: This special training area is thick with jungle trees, obstacles and other ground hazards. It was made specially for those dragons and riders who wish to learn to fight at a disadvantage so they can better combat whers while grounded. This training ground concentrates and helps teach a rider to not only be knowledgeable of their surroundings, but to help use them to give them to ones advantage in a fight or to deny an enemy a much needed edge.
-Landing Field: A large grassy expanse of field that's very close to Trine Weyr itself. The greenery hear has been trodden down from the constant coming and going of Dragon's and makes the best and closest landing spot for large groups like Wings to take a rest at before getting airborne to fight thread once again. Being close to the Weyr it also makes it easier for the dragonhealers and healers to tend to injured dragons and rider's until they can be moved elsewhere.
-Trine Gardens: With so many new dragons and three Weyr's lumped into one the Hold's can't be expected to support all of them. As such to help take some ease off the tithes and prevent hunger and dissatisfied riders a numbed of large garden fields have been tilled and planted with vegetables, plants, and herbs the Weyr might need to help ease the load and carry them through the rainy season/winter.
-Watch Dragon Outposts: Tall wooden or stone towers these buildings are guarded by a resident Watch dragon who looks out for key points such as Holds, Cannals, the Weyr or other important areas. Most Watch Dragon towers at Hold's are positioned in a way that they can see most if not all the Hold and surrounding landscape encase of attackers.
-Docks: Docks are wooden built structures made for ships to dock at and safely unload. Their size ranges, but most are placed in sheltered areas that will give ships some protection from a raging storm allowing them to stay safe at port. These docks act as a large hub of trade and shipping with the river thick land of Trine allowing such goods to be transported to Hold, Hall and Weyr with greater ease.
-Hold's Fields/Farmlands: While most Hold's have things they're well known for all Hold's still have mouths to feed and Tithes to make. As such they have large grassy penned areas for their herbeasts and other lifestock near the Hold along with many large tilled fields filled with produce and herbs of all sort needed to feed and aid the Hold. These fields often include beastcraft enclosures for more valuable animals like runnerbeasts or birthing mothers and younger lifestock.
-Warden Outpost: While still under construction when this medium sized stone building overlooking the Weyr is completed it will act as both the outpost and weyr for the Weyr's resident Warden and as an armory. The building itself will look like a medium circular stone hut connected to a locked rectangle stone storeroom which will be lined with shelves and racks holding the Weyr's heavier weaponry such as spears, shields, swords, bows, nets, and other things such and flares and armor. It also is equipped with a small forge and work area for the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the equipment.
-Deep Jungle Lakes: Deep in the Trine jungle where the trees begin to close up and you can hardly see the sky for the thick green canaopy there are occasional small spring fed lakes of clear water. Their banks sandy or covered with leaves offer an easier landing spot for dragons who wish to penetrate the deep jungle without walking the entire way or landing on the mountains and making their way down. These act as safer sources of water for travelers and jungle creatures alike and feed a ice little ecosystem of their own of plants and animals.
-Firestone Store: Next to the Weyr's firestone pit is a large squat stone store building made to hold the Weyr's pre-bagged firestone. With so many new Wings to keep equipped the building was built to help keep them supplied as well as to be able to deploy firestone faster in the case of emergencies or unpredicted threadfall. It was also built to keep these stores from being burned, destroyed or tampered with by possible hostile enemies who would like to see the dragon's fail or fall before their silvery opponent.
-Firestone Mines: While many smaller mines dot the landscape around Trine these three mountain mines are some of the largest and richest in veins of firestone. Allowing them to produce higher quality stone to be used to flame with as well as hosting small camps and outposts of guard whers and signal fires in case they become targeted. Each mine is required to have a number of firelizards on hand to send word in case of attack and are either Hold run industries or in the case of the one on the eastern mountain range and the one closest to Trine on the Western Mountain range is overlooked personally by the Weyr with the river allowing easy shipping of firestone hauls.
-Logging Camp: Small makeshirt camps set up by loggers for them to stay in while they're out near the edge of the jungle harvesting wood. The wood harvested is then floated down the river to feed a growing Weyr. While the salvage operation was a success Trine needed more then just scavenged goods to repair and expand to house their growing population. As such those willing have set up logging camps to feed wood down to the Weyr where woodworkers and teams ply their skills to rebuild and reinforce Trine and make it even better then before.
