The train ride had taken forever. Terra had spent most of the time watching out the window as various lands flew past. There was so much of Halloween, the ghoul thought as she finally reached the gates of Amity--so much that she was still reeling from it.
She wondered if she could go home a different way sometime--take the long way, see the sights--oh, it would be marvelous, she thought, her silvery eyes lighting up with excitement as she stepped onto the school grounds. But that would have to wait, she thought, shaking her head and looking around curiously.
Of course... how she could find her way home seemed a lot more difficult considering that she had no idea how to find her dorm... and no clue of who to ask. Her fingers tightened on the woven handle of the basket containing all her worldly possessions, and she took another step forward. Maybe she could find it by searching!

Hel idly plucked some bright orange and red leaves from her short chopped locks as she walked. She’d been walking through a nearby forest again, and decided to put her newest natural ability to the test once. That jack damn raven was such a troll. If it wasn’t taking her the long way around, it was making her walk off tall drops. The ghoul huffed, blowing some of her bangs out of her eyes and stared up at the sky, continuing to walk along until she ran into something—or someone. The reaper bounced back a bit, stumbling. “ Ack!” She snorted, red eyes immediately narrowing in on whoever she had walked into. Huh. This being seemed new…the ghoul did a once over, her brows furrowing a bit, as she hummed softly. “… Was not looking where I was going…my mistake.” She uttered.

Terra blinked, looking at the reaper curiously for a second, then smiled. "No, no, it was my fault, I was just standing here like an idiota," she said. "I'm a little... new to the area," she admitted--as if the accent and the fact that she was definitely NOT dressed for this cool weather didn't prove that fact. "I am looking for--" she went on, digging through the pocket of her skirt and pulling out a sheet of paper, "Los dormotorio de los reapers," she read--only to flush under her white makeup. "I think it is called... the dormitory?" she asked, feeling like a complete idiot, again. "Can you tell me where that is?"

The ghoul had been in a bit of a sour mood because of her stupid guide raven, but upon hearing Terra speak, she found that irritation fading. There was something…nice about hearing another ghoul who was obviously ‘foreign’. Hel was so use to being one of the few with a noticeable accent of her own, so to hear another was nice!
Sure, she had no idea what she was saying in her foreign language, but she could easily make out the word ‘reaper’ and then it was further clarified when she said ‘dormitory’. “…Oh! Are you a new student to Amityville?” Hel questioned. “If that is what you are looking for, then you can follow me…as I am heading back that way now.” That being said, Hel continued on the path she was taking before she had run into the ghoul.

"Gracias, Senorita," Terra said. "I was going to go around peeking in all the buildings, but I suppose that could be seen as rude..." she said, abruptly rethinking the plan she had. "Of course, I do not see that stopping me in the future," she admitted. "I very much want to know where everything is--this school, it is bigger than my entire TOWN," she went on, not quite exaggerating.
"Do you have many fiestas?" she asked, distracted. "I very much like the fiestas! Or music! Do you have many good mariachi bands here? We have one, but they travel muy muy muuuuy mucho--" Then she shivered. "Is it always so frio?" she asked, rubbing her arms. "Maybe I will have to wear shoes--"

…Grassy-a**? Senorita? Hel’s brows furrowed, and she could only hope, for Terra’s sake, that she wasn’t being insulted. “ Nothing wrong with being curious.” Hel replied, looking over her shoulder back at Terra as she walked. She then snorted softly. “ Ya. It is pretty big.” Hel came from a small town as well…er…well, her home wasn’t even in a town…but she understood the feeling. “ You will get use to it though…” Hel then stared at Terra, her brows furrowing. “ Uh…” It wasn’t that she was chatty…it was just that Hel didn’t understand half the things she was saying. “… What is a fiesta…? And…I do not know of this…Ma-ra-chee bands you are speaking of…and…frio?”

"Fiesta," Terra repeated. "There is dancing--" she clapped her hands above her head and did a little two step dance, "and eating, and singing and mucho, mucho people--a fiesta!" she said. "And frio is--" She searched her mind for the word, "Cold! Yes, is it always this cold? And mar-eee-atsh-ee, it is with a violin and other instruments--it is--" She didn't know how else to explain it, so she reached out in a motion that would be shockingly familiar to the ghoul--and summoned her violin. She situated it on her shoulder and held out her bow so she could play a quick melody. "This is mariachi! Or one song... with only the violin..." she admitted. "Usually there are more playing, and I am not as good as the violinist back home."

“… Oh! So it is a celebration then? A feast?” Party, she supposed. Her family was rather fond of those when the occasion called for it. Hel’s brows furrowed, and she took the time to really think about it. “ Mmm…there are not really a lot of those…though you did just miss the Halloween celebration in town…” Hel reached up to rub her scabbed and swollen bottom lip. Yeah, some party that was…stupid Freya. “… Cold? Oh…ha, if you think this is cold, then you would not last back where I am from.” This wasn’t cold to Hel…this was actually perfect activity weather. The reaper paused though, as Terra paused to summon her weapon, and her brows furrowed at the notion before she dismissed it. She wasn’t in a mind set to ponder things to hard. “ Ah, I see…ah…I am not certain…but check in the town nearby when you start wandering…especially at night…there is a lot of music and activity!” The reaper then resumed walking, the dorms of Amity quickly coming into sight.

"Oh, yes, I will!" Terra said. "And si--celebrations," she added, pouting slightly at the fact that there weren't very many. She always enjoyed celebrations--and dia de los muertos was coming up quickly... "I am missing the grand celebration back home," she said quietly. "I will have to call them and see how it was." She had never missed a dia de los muertos before. But then again... "It would not have been the same," she told herself firmly. Without her mother--no, it was too fresh a wound for her to really want to celebrate. Then she looked up at the massive dorm, feeling even smaller. "And... there are many reapers in this school?" she asked. "To fill this grande--large of a building?"

“… Ah…it happens when you are here…” Missing things, that is. Hel had certainly missed a lot of things since her time here that went on at home. She had been disappointed at first…but now she didn’t really mind. At Terra’s question, Hel gave a thoughtful hum, and then chuckled. “ Actually, there are not as many reapers here as you might think…and certainly not enough to fill this structure…Ah.” Hel paused, and turned back towards Terra. “ Did you check in at the dormitory office yet?”

"There is an office?" Terra asked naively. "I have this sheet of paper that they sent me with my acceptance," she explained, holding up the rather blank looking sheet for the other ghoul to see--not that she would understand it, it had been written in Spanish for Terra's sake.

Hel stared at the paper with a blank look. Not only did she have an aversion to reading…but it was in another language entirely. Hopefully this wasn’t how Mot felt when he read her essays… > : | “ Uh, first off, I can not read that, yanno…and second…uh…ya.” Hel waved a hand a bit. “ When I first came to this school, I went to the head office just to check in once I arrived…it is just a sort of ‘hey, I am here, okay? Okay’ and then I went and picked out my own room…plus you need to get keys and such…” Was this part of her school guide training as well? Possibly. Speaking of which…she needed to go bother Hyde sometime…hmm.

"Ah, si--I mean yes, if you could tell me where the office is, I can go do that!" Terra said, feeling rather like a bother to the other ghoul. First she made no sense when she spoke, then the writing made no sense, then she was completely oblivious to how a school worked--ah, she was such a troublesome scareling. She could practically feel El Padre looking at her with disappointment.

“ Oh, I can do more than tell, I can show ya.” Hel replied, gesturing to keep following her with a wave of her hand. The reaper strayed from the direction of the dorms and instead started to head in the direction of a lone building a bit away from the cluster of dorms. “ So…where are you from, anyways…and what do they call you?” Come to think of it, Hel didn’t even give a name! Oops.

"I am from Los Muertes," Terra said, still worrying that she was causing problems. This looked to be someone that knew her way around the school--who knew how important she was? "I am sorry for not introducing myself earlier," she added. "I am Terra Bethel... Scythe," she finished, finding the last name a bit strange. But she was going by that name now, regardless of if she had before this. "And you are?" Terra asked.
